Blake has been great and is developing every year. And yet even with his improvements, why is it still on CP? even the people trying to push Blake as the true leader of this team, people still look to CP for all the answers. Why? Look at your max paid player in Blake. Don't use years in the league as an excuse either. When CP was in his 3rd year he led a young team to a game 7 against the best team in the west when Duncuan was unequivocally the best PF in the game. If it weren't for injuries to him and that team every year after and trades because the ownership sucked *#*, who knows where they would have gone. he still is as valuable as he was then but to read this board you would think he's a cancer. I just don't get it

Put it this way - I'm Armenian. Both sides of my family faced persecution.

A couple of them let themselves be bogged down in it and never managed to find contentment in life. Too hung up on past. Others were able to move on and find success and happiness. The clippers standing with the fans (not tossing their warmups and wearing shirts inside out) and going out with a calm, determined attitude would be a very powerful statement. I really found their actions today off putting. I know they are emotional but it felt like a slap in the face to fans. We aren't Donald sterling. Didn't like it one bit. And honestly, the team shouldn't be babied by doc. Let them answer questions or choose not to. Players are expected to speak to the media - it's time to stop with special treatment. These are grown men.

How is sterlings racism possibly news to them??? Not excusing it but they chose to come here when lots of stuff has been written about his racism

And shadiness. All they had to do was google the man.

Because he's getting paid $107 million and IIRC has the biggest contract in the league effective this offseason? Because he's the "superstar" with a long history of playoff failure that needs to prove something? Because he's supposed to be the undisputed best player at the position? Because he has far too many games where he just quits and shrinks whereas Blake shows up every game?

Everyone's making such a big deal about our team quitting, just watch them be revived when they come home, and our whole arena is full of screaming and yelling fans supporting the Clippers! Can't wait, I F**King hate TMZ btw, all they do is find the dirt and ruin lives, they couldn't just ruin one life they had to ruin the lives of tens of thousands of loyal and dedicated Clipper fans, those types of journalists are trash and the scum of the earth IMHO...

Doc and the players haven't thanked the fans or said a word about us.

That makes it worse.

Yes this bad. Housing discrimination (openly stereotyping races), bringing people into the locker room and commenting on the bodies of the players (don't want to repeat what he said it makes me uncomfortable).

If Doc will resign (which I believe will happen) and our superstar will demand a trade, and nobody want to come here anymore, then the NBA can disband the team, how can you play when thee is no player in a team. I would rather see it that way than the Clippers will go to seattle with the same name and group.

If the nba didn't act swiftly fine take this stance but in the meantime be professionals. If they didn't want to play fine but don't pull this whole we are distracted bs

Won't lie, I'm getting really tired of the hurricane going around here. Some people here are acting as if the series is already over, others actually have the gall to try and defend Sterling, and yet still others think this will be the end of them being a fan period.

My opinion? Just win Games 5 and 6.

NBA and DTS should just pay off whoever needs paying off and come to the conclusion this whole thing was just a hoax, and DTS never said anything like that blah blah blah, and we continue playing BASKETBALL! Call me ignorant but at least I'm honest This ain't 1960 anymore!

CP3 thanked the fans in his postgame, not that it matters, you want to be angry with them.

You been preaching that sermon for so long, its gotten old. No one player can carry a whole team no matter who they are. Lebron, KD, DWade, Nobody. And if one player could, why doesn't Blake just take over the role? Yes Blake, the other max player is just as responsible. You cannot hide him from the leader responsibilities just to fit your opinion of CP. You are the main one who wants to call Blake the true leader. The one who is the face. The one who represents the Clippers since he was the one drafted. Then he too shoulders the burden of leadership during this playoff run not just CP. you don't ever want to point the finger at Blake. Blake is the golden child. the untouchable. No matter what. Can't wait to see how he performs when the core of the team is gone

Can we please not jump to conclusion about what CP3 is going to do and how we should feel about him if he leaves?

Chris is in a terrible situation right now and deserves some support from us. We have the entire offseason to sh*t all over his potential career moves.

We need to support him for atleast 2 more games.

I was at the game today. Shockingly, I did not get harassed nearly as much as I expected. Granted, I was in expensive seats, but it was. to bad at all. Warriors dominating early probably was a factor.

I think the team needs the fan support. If I was in la I'd be there in a second, wearing black, and cheering my ass off for the TEAM

We can agree to disagree on the weight of these recent remarks. This to me is most egregious of all because of the national exposure it has received and because of the severity of the statements Sterling made in the audio recording.

I haven't seen a single thing where he said anything about the fans only that he didn't know what it would be like in staples on Tuesday. That's hardly a warm and fuzzy sentiment

Bingo! stories are one thing. Being on the team when its broadcasted is a whole other animal. They are embarrassed, betrayed, and conflicted. You don't understand that, you are inconsiderate to them as people. People have feelings, and theirs were hurt.

It's not the fans fault that is all I'm saying. I would prefer the team to issue a statement against sterling and be candid rather than their symbolic silent protest. I get their feelings were hurt, but every nba player should feel equally hurt. I don't like it when people are offended and they allow themselves to remain victims. Sterling wins. The method of their protest hurt no one but themselves and the fans. They basically said sterling =

Clipper nation which is taking the easy way out.

I don't know the exact current mental states of the players, so I can't say whether canceling the upcoming practice was a good idea or not. It's not like Doc's the type of coach to heavily work his players in practice anyway.

IMO, we'll really see if Doc and everyone else has my attitude in Game 5, especially if Sterling somehow survives this mess. If they lose that, it's safe to say the Clippers are done for the season.

Shows up every game? He has just started playing MVP ball for literally half a season. Where was he last year during the playoffs? It's easy to dominate a team with no front court. If we advance and catch Memphis in the next round, we'll see how he does against some actual big men. But I'm sure you'll have an excuse saved up if he doesn't perform.

In the grand scheme of things, it's just a sports team. This sucks, but if it's "ruining your life," you need perspective.

Guys, I think we all need to stop with the comments about whether or not our team would be better or not without Paul, and all the other questions alike. The fact is, this is the best Clippers team we have ever seen, and we should worry about the players we have now, not who will be staying or leaving. I understand how much the Sterling incident could possibly end up affecting our team, but we need to focus on winning this series and not let this affect us fans too much. For countless years, we have been waiting for that magical team that could finally lead us to a deep run, and now that team appears to be here. This situation might tear us down, but already assuming it will is not going to help and will in fact hurt the process. Many people on this board are criticizing our players for giving up on the series, but then also giving up themselves. We are still tied 2-2. We have home-court advantage. We have a great team. Don't give up hope. Believe in the squad that we have unconditionally loved for many years, even if this is our last chance to win. I've always felt that if you are a pessimistic fan, then you drag down your team with you. Our team needs our support. This is our chance, and it might actually be our year. Remember that two days ago we felt on top of the world after that win at Oracle, and let's go do our best to help our team regain that feeling on Tuesday. Go Clippers!

As I predicted, before the sh!t hit the fan, this was going to be a tough series going 6 or 7 games with us coming out on top.

Nothing has changed in my mind.

Well right now I hope you are right. I've been very optimistic all season,

in fact since I been a clipper fan. But the difference now is this seems

to be affecting Doc hard as well.

Most of you forget he had his house burned down by racists and now

he has to deal with working for one.

Hopefully the next few days off will get their mind back focused on

the task at hand.

Far from it actually. Blake's made some great strides in his game and

I have gladly admitted it. He deserves his success because of his hard work and time that he has been put in. But I guess it just saddens me when people toss aside the guy that's been putting up MVP caliber seasons most of his career.

That's pretty cool. It shows our players that everybody is backing THEM....and not that piece of sh*t white trash owner of ours.

I'm sure Jamal called up his buddy LMA and asked him to do this and I'm sure Mo and Olshey gladly agreed also.

If you guys are debating whether to come to the game on Tuesday, here is an excerpt from one of Arash's articles:

Rivers said he understood Magic Johnson and many fans saying they would not be attending Clippers games as long as Sterling is the owner and would understand if the Clippers' 137-game sellout streak was snapped for Tuesday's Game 5 because of the backlash.

"I would understand," Rivers said. "I hope not. We need them. I can tell you that. We need everybody. We play for them. We always have. So we do need them. We're going to need them bad on Tuesday. We're going to need them there. We're going to need them in our corner. But, listen, I get all of it. Like I said to the gentlemen, someone wants to do it another way, I get that, too, and I have no problem with that either."

If I had a ticket, I would not hesitate.

Thank you (and everyone else here) for the compliments to my hometown team. LaMarcus has always been a class act, and as meddling as Paul Allen has been in Blazer affairs at times, he's far from one of the worst owners in sports. Right now, I'm just happy we escaped from the Rockets tonight. Let's hope Sterling is brought down sooner rather than later.
