That's how good things are now when we don't want Magic Johnson to be ONE of the owners of the team. Wow, things are changing. Very Happy

What's wrong with you? Don't you want someone that is involved with the sport and will do anything to win? Like Mark Cuban? Just throw money at players? Good thing is we got Doc to tell him what players to throw money at? I would rather have someone involved that WANTS to win, than someone like Oprah that hasn't the first clue about this sport...

exactly. the problem our fan base has is that there are a lot of "switch hitters" these are fans that call themselves "L.A" fans which essentially means which ever team is doing better...they will leave us first chance they get. the switch hitters love Magic while Clippers fans who are here for the Clippers only see what magic is up to. **** magic

What's wrong with Frey Frey? She's got everything you can ask for in a good owner. Money, power, respect and an infectious attitude.

And even if you replace Oprah with someone like Charlie Sheen, it would still be a good idea because of what Geffen and Ellison bring to the table IMO.

Charlie Sheen was an exaggeration though.

I am sure no one here liked Sterling either. You will live with it. She has a lot of influence so her joining is definitely useful if anything.

She'd be a silent partner. it would be Geffen running things.

Smug a$$, whatever that means, lol. Geffen + Ellison + Oprah = Dream group ownership and Clipper franchise goes into elite mode.

P.S.

Congratulations to the LA Kings on a historical come back. Only 3 other teams in NHL PO history have come back to win after being down 3-0. Yes, there is always a chance. Very Happy

Magic wouldn't really be owning most of the team, Guggenheim would be, with Mark Walter in charge.

Ellison would my top choice, he's crazy rich and has shown he has no problem dumping tons of money to win at sports. He also really likes boats, so the team name fits.

After that Magic tweet no way in hell I would trust him. He is better than Sterling no doubt but I don't want him feeding the potential idea of us becoming a farm team.

I get that Magic is an exuberant fella (and I loved him as a player, don't shoot me, guys), but he ought to think twice about some of his tweets before sending them out. He comes across as a wishy-washy flip flopping mess with "No, I'm not buying the Clippers" to "Yes, I'm going to own an NBA franchise and Clippers are a premier franchise." To top it off, he showed poor judgment and lack of decorum in tweeting his happiness over Mike D'Antoni's resignation as head coach of the Lakers. Magic put his foot (or in this case, his tweeting fingers) in his big mouth.

I'll take $56 billion Oprah&Geffen&Ellison Group over Magic's big mouth and $200billion Guggenheim Partners, thank you very much. Lol

My take on it is that we already know that magic and his group will shell out some serious money.

I could care less he was a Laker.

Of all the topic today, they decide to pick the most boring topic which is finding the Lakers' new coach. LOL. That is so laughable.

Come on, I could name 5 topics that is more important than Lakers.

Clippers' new owners search,

Clippers' Playoff series,

Kings making history,

Kings vs. Ducks,

Dodger's 10,000 wins.

D'antoni left at a perfect time for us. Move the medias attention away from us. Probably the first time in a week we are rested.

Lets finish it tonight!!!!
