I saw these questions come up in the other threads, so I would like to make it into a poll. Would Clipper fans welcome a "re-branding" (basically renaming of the team) and/or a move to another city? I would like to hear what you guys think and why.

I say move to Orange County so it's easier for me to go to more games Very Happy And a rebrand would help shed any leftover baggage from the Sterling era.

Maybe a new name & color. A new city move. Just won't happen.

The Clippers just made history today. No need to change their name or the location. We can all be proud to be Clippers fans. It's all about winning and bringing home that trophy now.

No to the move. No to the name change. No to changing colors. New logo would be fine.

No. The Clippers name is bigger than Donald. LA doesn't deserve to lose the Clippers after what we've been through.

Hear me out, I was never and others i know were never fond of the Clippers name. It really has no meaning like the Lakers but the Lakers have the dynasty and history that makes it great. The Clippers don't have a dynasty and no sense of crazy history like the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, etc. so I do think a new name can give a new life and image to the team for years to come and help start fresh. Donald Sterling has been the owner for 33 years and it only seems fitting to a BRAND NEW start to clear any stigma regarding the team.

New colors, floor, and team name/logo have actually been what I and others would of loved to seen even before this whole fiasco happened. Now we have an actual reason to embrace change and see a team name change. A Lot of teams have cool names and an actual word that can actually have a mascot or just simply make sense such as the bulls, hawks, or even nets and heat. But what is a Clipper, or Spur? Some team names just don't really make sense and I would love to see a whole new identity moving forward.

What's a spur? its the part of cowboys boots that the jab into the horses to make them run faster... A clipper is a ship. How are bulls relevant to Chicago or hawks to Atlanta?

The whole "Rebrand/Rename" debate is all from newer fans. The thunder is a dumb name. The pelicans is a dumb name. These are the newly chosen names for our league, we don't want to risk getting a stupid "new" name just for the sake of change. Stick with what we have!

I'd love to remain the Los Angeles Clippers, but I think a makeover to our logo is in dire need.

Also, our colors are a little boring and not unique. Orange and Black gets my vote.

Repped High Quality Post

Do people understand what the Clippers name NOW represents? This is history in the making and people want to change the name now? Sorry but if you're like me, I've been a fan since the 90's and I want all the history, good and bad to stay. Only way that happens is if we keep the name and colors. This moment is history and trying to hide from it is the easy thing to do. No f***** way, I haven't been more proud of the name than today. as for not liking the name, it represents the city well based on the coastline we live by. It's a new day to sail my friends, so get on the ship and let us sail to this year's chip!

Hmm didn't know spur and Clipper actually had meaning and relevance to their cities and culture.

And to be fair pelicans is cool! It's their state bird and Oklahoma Thunder sounds great too, that has relwlvancy through the thunderstorms they get.

About the bulls and hawks, it may not have relevancy to their cities but it sounds dope as sh*t lol.

And to be fair, I guess I wouldn't mind the name Clippers since i know the meaning behind it now, but I would love to see new colors and logo! If a clipper is a ship, I want to see more of a blue and white team scheme strictly resembling the ocean and the ship. Like our christmas day blue and a hint of white to it.

The proudest moment of the Clippers name was when the team didn't give the kandi man a $100 million dollar contract.

I hope they keep the name and I'm sure they will change the logo in order to sell more merchandise.

I agree with everything you've said and it was well said, but I don't see why we must keep the red, white and blue colors? They weren't always our colors. Maybe you feel as if it makes us look like we are trying to hide our past or something, but I personally just want new colors regardless of the situation.

I've always felt we needed colors that separate us from teams like the Pistons, 76'ers, Wizards, Hawks, Angels, Red Sox, Braves, Cubs, Phillies, Patriots, Bills, Texans, Giants, Capitals, Canadians, Rangers, Blue Jackets....etc

Red, White and Blue are the most generic colors. I'd even prefer the San Diego Clippers colors.

This is what I posted on Facebook to troll the lakers fans

Lakers should move to Seattle instead of the Clippers. Lakers fans already love claiming championships won in other city cheered by other fans. If the they become Seattle SuperLakers, the new fan based can also claim they have 16 championships and brag about history

As a clipper fan I have always worn my gear like a badge. I would never want them to change the name or logos. And no way would they leave Los Angeles, the most exciting team in the second biggest market. Plus the fact that the best training facility in the league that cost $50 mil helps.

Without reading any answer, NO. It would be more historic when the Clippers win a championship. It will also feel better as opposed to (insert new name).

Two words: HELL NO. Nothing makes me more angry than hearing other teams fans talk about the NBA making our players all free agents, Doc leaving, and the team leaving LA. The Los Angeles Clippers will come out of this stronger with competent ownership that values what strides this franchise has made the past few season and builds on that winning culture.

Keep the name, stay in L.A. The only change I'd probably maybe open to, are going back to the San Diego colors, where they originally got the name from. Maybe a mix of the old sail logo and the passed ball logo. I'd prefer to keep everything the same though. At least for a few more years with this current core we have.

Moving would not be such a bad idea, start afresh in its own city. Sponsors are already packing their bags, how far away are coaches and players?

I know this idea sucks for local fans, Seattle SuperClippers?

Did the Pistons and Pacers change their name? They were both involved in one of the most disgusting things in Sports History. From now on you will associate their names with that brawl. The only....

Seattle is quickly becoming detestable when it comes to the NBA. They whined and cried for years when OKC took their team away, but now want to steal a team from another city - first Sacramento, now us.

Why the heck would they be called the "Seattle Clippers"? If the team somehow does get moved to Seattle, they're getting their name changed to the SuperSonics.
