Repped High Quality Post

What's with all the down talk on Cp3? This team wouldn't be where they are today if Cp3 never stepped foot in the staples center 3 seasons ago. He's hurt right now which is the reason he's not as explosive. Do me a favor and tell me what TOP pg in the league that isn't injury prone?. Here is the list

D Rose - Missed most of the last 2 seasons.

D Will - Always banged up and game has dropped dramatically from injuries.

S Curry- Has glass ankles.

R Westbrook - Serious knee issues.

T Parker - Banged up.

K Irving - ALways banged up.

M Conley - Hamstring issues.

Point is i rather take the guy who is the best leader in the league, Who leads the league in asst and steals and still gives you 19 ppg a night. Some of y'all are ridiculous man. Any PG you get will eventually get hurt over the course of the season

I just wonder where has our Co-6th Man DC gone? He really hasn't played well this postseason as far as I can remember. We need Blake to have a good game and also the bench too. We need to play that championship defense we played in the 40-point blowout as well. We are fully capable and I think the Clippers will most definitely step up today and get that W! Let's go Clips!

It's the same culprits every time. They just continue to repeat the same things over and over, so it looks like more than one person.

I hope all of you who have primeticket will watch the game on that network tonight. Win or lose, it'll be the last time Ralph will be calling a game on TV this season, and we never know when he might decide to hang up his microphone.

Hope the Clips give him at least one series win to remember over the offseason.

Well said. I also don't get how people are acting as if he's not clutch anymore. What about that game winner in Game 2 last season? And those 10 pts in the 4th quarter of game 3 this series. People turn on CP3 too quickly.

I bet he'll get 20+ pts and 10+ assists tonight and then everyone will be praising him.

Before CP3's injuries, was getting shutdown games 1-3 by Klay/Iggy. His issue is that almost every contender has elite wing defenders besides us. Once you put Kawhi Leonard, Sefalosha, Tonny Allen, Iggy/Klay, Lebron etc in CP3 he gets shut down and becomes utterly worthless scoring wise. Not his fault, but still something far too easily exposed.

Instead of attacking the defender head on and drawing fouls with his ball handling, he starts getting even more passive. Usually I'd attack CP3 for this but our issues are far more than CP3.

  1. Doc's playoff rotations are MUCH worse than his regular season ones. I've been left scratching my head a lot.

  2. Zero production from SF position. If you want to make the finals, you cannot have an entire position going ghost. Especially in the west.

  3. Blake Griffin. He was dominant through games 4 but the last two games has gotten shut the hell down. Green has done great but its mostly on Griffin. He's clearly flustered. Which sucks because I was sure this year would be different.

  4. Our role players in general. In the games we've won, they were great. In the games we've lost besides 6, they were invisible.

I get the feeling our guys haven't learned any lessons and are a low IQ team collectively. I don't see effort to consistently practice the principles of the coaching staff. There is one player who is exempt from all criticism in my eyes this series. That would be DJ, who was our WORST playoff player last year.

I'd be looking to move CP3 before DJ at this point IF you're going to trade a star.

Can he please just stop talking?

Actually, who am I kidding? When he gets fired, he'll be right back in the broadcast booth to annoy everyone every game.

BTW Paul is always injured come playoff time. The situation is like D Wade. Where he's constantly nursing 2-3 injuries at a time.

An encouraging thought is that technically Game 6 should have been the Warriors best shot seeing that their backs were against the wall, and they weren't all that impressive.

Yea, its not only CP3. Thing is we are more too heavy than the other teams outside of OKC. If either of our two stars are unhealthy, we have no chance.

Jamal Crawford just proved my point. This team is entitled and lacks urgency. They take everything for granted.

"Game 6 they were the desperate ones. Now both teams are desperate"

News flash! Its the f***** playoffs. You should play desperate every game!!

Why are so many people panicking? I would've loved for the Clippers to finish this series in 6, but let's just face it, the Warriors are a tough team. They would've pushed any team, other than maybe the Heat, to 7 games. The West is just really deep this season. Can we wait until we actually get eliminated to panic?

I still think the Clippers will play the Heat in the Finals.

Gotta have faith.

No Bogut. Every one of their remaining bigs in foul trouble during Game 6 and Blake and DJ couldn't take advantage. CP3 being a no-show on offense all series. That's why there's so much disappointment.

People point to the Mavs and Grizzlies, but those teams are better than the Bogut-less Warriors, who would be handled with ease by SAS or OKC.

Additionally, last year and really the lack of any meaningful postseason history in this franchise is making people nervous, I think. It certainly scares me.

In a vacuum, this game is very winnable for the Clippers... but weird **** happens in Game 7's.

Not saying Jamal played bad.I'm saying I hate the mindset and lack of urgency of our team. Its been that way the entire CP3 era

The CP3 era has brought us back-to-back-to-back playoff appearances. I think it's the fans who are behaving like they're "entitled".

It's called raised expectations when you supposedly have two max-contract-worthy superstars on the same team. Winning 55+ games in the regular season and choking in the first round isn't good enough for me and shouldn't be good enough for anyone anymore. Our franchise is no longer the absolute joke of the league especially with Sterling gone (that title goes to either the Knicks or the Cavs now), and as such, the fanbase needs to act like it.

So far in our consecutive PO run with our 2 superstars we are 1 and 1 getting out of the 1st round in the ever so deep WC. Tonight will make it 2 out 3.

There's a big difference between being arrogant like Laker fans and expecting to make it out of the first round when the Clippers won 57 games and spent $73 million to put this team together.

HAHAHA! Agreed. I still remember the days when we I had to relish a regular season win over Boston or the Lakers and act like that was our post season. Even though I'd be disappointed if the Clippers were to fall short of a title run this season, I know that the old me from 10 years ago would have killed for my Clippers to have this much relevancy in the NBA.

And this series is not even over yet. We're still 7 pt favorites to win tonight. We can still do this, people!

Big payrolls don't entitle one to a post season berth. A team peaking at the right time does.

I don't agree. Yes, Bogut is big for them, but it'd be difficult for any team to handle Curry, Thompson, and Iguodala. That's a really good 1-3. I can't stand them, but they are really good. I don't think the Mavs and Grizz are that much better than this GSW team.

Yes, Blake and DJ should have exploited GSW's lack of post players last game, but that's why I think they'll explode tonight. DJ was invisible for game 4 and then had a career night, the very next game.

I know GSW has won a championship in the past, but this current team has about the same playoff experience as ours. GSW made the second round last season, but failed to make the playoffs the year before that. We got to the second round two seasons ago and this is our 3rd straight year in the post season.

No matter how you spin it GSW's are a lot better team then you give them credit for, Bogut or no Bogut and HAVE played us tough in the last few years. This series was always going to be a tough out.

Oh and against the so-called better Mav's and Grizzlies, they did beat both of those 2 teams late in the season (when a lot was on he line for all teams) without Bogut or him playing very little time (4 mins against Memphis).

We will prevail.

Look if you guys want to keep low expectations and be happy with first round exits, that's your right. Just understand its not the expectations of other fans, the players, the coaches and all other team personnel. I'm sorry for not wanting to become Atlanta Hawks 2.0. This team is way too talented and has too good of a coaching staff not to be in the WCF.

I'm not going to do the Blake vs CP3 blame game again. What I will say is a first round exit vs a shorthanded underdog is unacceptable. Anybody who doesn't agree with that is misguided.

Personally not cool with being a big market treadmill team. This team has to continue to improve it should be demanded of fans and them. Hoping for a big win.

Exactly. Ironically, being happy with another first-round exit like many "fans" in here seem to be is in fact more negative than I could ever be. I know this team is capable of more and my expectations are in line with that.

Without Cp3 this team is a .500 team maybe slightly better. But we wouldn't even

make the playoffs in the west.

A Pg averaging 19 - 10 - 2.5steals - 4 rebounds and shooting 46% from the field

is not a "Replaceable asset".

I'm sorry but anyone advocating something so ridiculous should have

the right to even discuss basketball revoked.

No doubt CP3 is a HUGE part of our team. Just an easily neutralized one unfortunately. Put a SG or SF on him on D and he gets roasted. It wasn't an issue his first year with us. Just the last two.

I agree, but don't act like the Spurs and Thunder aren't in the same exact positions.

We are the only team in this whole first round to beat the sh*t out of our opponent by 40 points. Then came back and won the next game. All excuses and BS aside what other team had so much pressure and media BS to deal with about their owner thinking like he's a slave owner? Game 4 was not a Clipper-like lost. No excuses, DJ and others even said they gave them game 4. All I'm trying to say is, losing is unacceptable, but the way some people here bash their team and CP3 and Blake is also unacceptable too. People take it overboard.

Icecoldclipper and Jquick I'm with you there. "Treadmill big market team" is about the worst position to be in. No cap space or draft positioning to improve, but not good enough to advance. So basically the only improvement can come from developing players. DJ and Blake made a jump this year and due to injuries it only got us 1 extra win and possibly the same playoff fate. We should be so much better.

Most of this stems from the attitude of our players, led by CP3. CP3 lacks the urgency needed to win at a high level with comments like "This is why we worked so hard to get HCA, so we can play at home in front of our fans in game 7".

I understand he doesn't want to panic, but ask any champion. They will tell you about the sense of urgency and focus required at all times. This mindset is cancerous to a locker room. Blake on the other hand... Is far more honest regarding this. I've never heard that lack of urgency from him. He's more likely to do the opposite and dwell on the loss.

I want this entire team to learn that every loss counts. Every mistake will eventually bite you in the ass. Its hard to understand the gap between talent and heart/mental fortitude on this team.

Today Jared Dudley goes down in Clippers history...... Okay but really we just need Blake to avoid foul trouble and Cp3 to neutralize Curry and we are good.

Easily neutralized? Dramatic? If it was that easy than every team would just neutralize

him by doing what you said. How could he average 19ppg and lead the league in assists?

Cp3 has had a few good games this series.

He is the best PG in the league for a reason. But that's just it. He is a PG. His responsibility

isn't to just run up is ppg he needs to get everyone involved and get his assists.

He is avg 16 - 8 this series which we can all agree is underperforming. But he has stepped

up in the second half of many of these games after a slow start.

Flake Griffin on the other hand is just stinking up the joint for no reason.
