I agree, but don't act like the Spurs and Thunder aren't in the same exact positions. We are the only team in this whole first round to beat the sh*t out of our opponent by 40 points. Then came back and won the next game. All excuses and BS aside what other team had so much pressure and media BS to deal with about their owner thinking like he's a slave owner? Game 4 was not a Clipper-like lost. No excuses, DJ and others even said they gave them game 4. All I'm trying to say is, losing is unacceptable, but....

Griffin has outplayed Paul this series actually. Although both have been bad the last two games. Mind you Griffin has been constantly double teamed, Paul hasn't.

Wow, too many negative vibes from some Clippers fans. Why don't we root for our team in a positive way instead of browbeating our players? Positive vibes, people.

Last 3 games from Griffin have been lackluster.

Griffin only had 2 good games this entire playoff series.

Griffin isn't playing bad due to double teams. He is playing bad because his head isn't in the

game and he isn't being aggressive at all.

Every Time he was aggressive last game he got to the rim, although he missed it, at least he

got there. Most of the times he is taking forever to make a move. Which is what is killing our offense.

Post each of their numbers man. Griffin as a whole this series has been better than Paul. He had 16/8 in game 1 in just 18 or 19 minutes. Game 2 and 3 he dominated. Game 4 he had like 23 but was in foul trouble. Then his last two games have been really bad. Paul has yet to have a SINGLE truly dominant signature game this series, Griffin has had two. Paul's basically been nothing but a defensive specialist for the most part. Even his A/TO percentage is a career playoff worst by far.

This. Blake has struggled the past couple games, no denying it, though the rest of the team hasn't exactly made them pay for doubling him. CP3, on the other hand, has overdribbled, bricked clutch free throws, played timidly, and turned it over at uncharacteristic levels all series long. He's played good defense on Curry but that's about it.

So Griffin has won us 1, DJ 1 and the 40 point win was led by Griffin but our bench won mostly. Its time for Paul to close the series as our "closer" and "leader".

Doc should have met with downtown staff after game 7. How does he have time to coach if they is what his priority is? Frustrating. Wish I could go to game.

I agree but I refuse to do the blame game as many here want to do. I expect a win tonight and I expect to take the next round.

One problem you can see is emotions. Read through all the posts and many people are riding a roller coaster with their emotions with where we are now and others with the players. One page a poster will blame CP3 for for putting us in a game 7 and want him traded. 10 posts later the same person will be defending CP3 and bashing those that get on his case and say we are here just because of him. We are in a precarious spot going into a game 7 and the emotions on CTB are running all over the place. But we are not alone. Almost all the "favorites" for each round is in a game 7.

IMHO, there is no better team in the NBA then ours. Equals, yes. Better, no. We have a really solid core of guys that can beat anyone in the league and have beaten what others call the best. But sometimes our guys will back off the throttle and it costs them. Play like it is game 5 again, that was at their best. The defense was smothering, they moved like greased lightning. Play aggressive and there will be no problem or question who will win tonight. Don't back down for anything.

Nobody is "happy" with first round exits, so don't turn your negativity around on those who have more hope and belief in the team than yourself.

Judging by the entire regular season and previous success, San Antonio and OKC fans have way more right to hold high "expectations" than Clippers fans do, yet they're in exactly the same position as we are.

But I bet their fans are at least going to wait for their teams to actually PLAY their game 7 before trashing them and deciding who should be traded. I suggest Clippers fans do the same... it's called supporting your team.

Who here thinks we can win this game? I know we can do it.

What do you guy's think it will take for the Clips to get a W tonight?

I think Blake and Chris need to set the tone early for our role players and we need JJ to hit his open shots. If those things happen I think our team system will takeover and we will show why we are the better team.

23/7/3/1.5 vs 17/5/8/3. Paul's numbers are more rounded but he's been far more inconsistent this series and is shooting a HORRENDOUS 40 percent. Is he Allen Iverson? Now I already said these losses are on both. I'm merely responding to Postman saying Blake has been invisible and Paul has been better.

Try reading the thread. People like me who expect better than a first round exit are being bashed by those who think that just because we used to suck every year means we have no right to expect anything at all from this year's team.

And on this day in 2014 the Clippers beat the Warriors after the Donald Sterling controversy. You know who was involved in that game I believe? Doc Rivers if my memory serves me correctly ....

Cleepers you're usually a lot more logical than that. As Jquick said its upset fans under attack and being questioned as fans, not the other way around. My personal stance is... we all react to bad things differently and have the right to do so. I won't tell you you're less of a fan for your reaction, all I ask is for the same respect. Nothing I've said lacks logic TBH. I never said we were losing tonight. In fact, I think we will win.

I'm just saying we shouldn't be in this position to begin with and that many old habits are rearing their ugly heads, which is troubling. I don't want to hear players taking **** for granted and making excuses. I want them owning up and saying "We blew it and it won't happen again". I want to see more fire and mental fortitude.

I agree with you on this man, but I wouldn't even respond to Postman, it's hard to acknowledge him and even respect what he has to say when refers to Blake as "Flake" Griffin. That is what a "clippers fan" calls him, imagine if he wasn't a "fan"?

With "fans" like that there is NO ROOM for enemies

No one is saying we're happy to lose in the first round. I'm just saying that we should wait until we actually get knocked out in the first round, before we act like the sky is falling and that we should trade our entire core of players. If we lose tonight, then we'll all have the right to rethink our plans for future. That's IF we lose, which I don't think will happen.

Nicknames like "Flake Griffin" are immature and cross the line from legit criticism to blind hate. As critical as I've been of CP3 this series I'm not going to go around calling him "Chris Fraud."

Same. I criticize Paul because I know how good he can be when locked in. Because I DO believe he can lead us. I would never attack him on a personal level with shady nicknames or root for him to fail. To criticize your stars is justified IMO. But it should never cross over into personal hatred or distaste just because.

Wow. TNT fanmeter says GS has 60 percent chance to send Clippers fishing tonight. We aren't even favorites in eyes of fans. BTW Kenny continues to prove his stupidity. He said Warriors at their best are better. Its the opposite. At our best we are FAR better... The issue is we have played our worst more often than GS this series.

Once again, the two previous western conference champions are BOTH in the same position as the Clippers. Both still stand a chance to reach and win the WCF again... and so do we.

We have 5 hours to go until the game, then, if we happen to lose, 5 months to talk about how disappointing the team was.

Just strikes me that if there were ever a time for hope, faith and positivity... this is it.

I agree, I don't think we should be in this position. Part of it is underachieving, part of it was the emotional meltdown from Sterling, and then the atrocious officiating in Game 1. I wasn't even going to be that pleased after advancing because it's the freaking Warriors, they're not that good.

But unfortunately, the fact of the matter is the playoffs have nothing to do with a team's quality, it is 100% matchups, and the Warriors match up with us pretty good.

After we win, a huge load will be off our shoulders and we'll play loose against the Thunder.

Cleepers I already answered that. Spurs and Thunder are playing superior teams not missing their most important player AND have proven themselves. Let us at least get to the WCF once or win something before we compare.

Once again, both of those teams have been facing better teams than GSW, who are at full strength (unlike the Bogut-less Warriors) - or in the case of Memphis, were full strength until Game 7. A legit case could be made that we drew the easiest opponent of all the top 4 West teams and we're still struggling. Memphis would have swept us out of the first round this year with the way we're playing.

Good post. I agree they are a tough matchup for sure. I guess I'm pouting because I felt the series should of been over by 6 at the latest. Now CP3 has an additional injury to deal with next series. He could have used the extra 2 or 4 days of rest before round two.

Sounds good to me. I would actually prefer an all around team win like that over Blake doing it all for us.

Blake, CP3, DJ, Redick, Jamal, Collison, and Barnes could be those 7 guys in the double digits. If that happens, I don't think GSW will have answer for us.

Bogut is not their most important player. Their most important player is the guy CP3 has kept quiet most of the series.

Bottom line, the 1, 2 and 3 seeds haven't yet played their best ball. Let's see if they do when it really matters before we count them out.

Clippersfan86

Bogut is their second best individual player but many Warriors fans think he's the most valuable. He took a mediocre D and anchored it into the 3rd best D in the league. At absolute worst he's their 2nd or 3rd more important player. It would be just like us missing DJ. Per minute him and DJ are identical just about.

Man please I have the right to call him Flake Griffin. I've been more positive

and optimistic towards our players than anyone on this board all season,

and probably before many of you became fans (Not all, but many).

Regardless I'm calling him Flake Griffin NOT because he isn't playing

well, but because he isn't even trying.

His emotions are not in the game, he is real non chalant, and his

attitude is nothing like it has been before the Sterling fiasco.

I've watched every game of Blakes Career. And actually got a chance

to meet him in New York after he got drafted before the season started.

Great all around guy.

But I call it how I see it. HE is FLAKING. He was on an unstopable tear all

season.. Double teams, triple teams, didn't matter. No one could stop him.

Now he isn't even trying. Taking 10 seconds to make a freaking move.

I'm rooting for him to bounce back this game. But he just has to try. Doesn't

look like he is even Trying.

So he is earning the name FLAKE Griffin, unless I see him be aggressive again.

Our scenario from my viewpoint is that we are one win away from advancing to the 2nd round.

Your viewpoint seems to be that we are one loss from exiting the playoffs.

I hope DJ has a huge game tonight. But regardless of how he does play, I've been really pleased with how he's played this season. For the longest time, I was one of DJ's biggest critics, but I can't ignore how well he's played this season. Other than game 4, he's been one of our best players in the playoffs. I'll officially admit I was wrong about DJ. I'm really happy he proved me wrong.I don't say this too often, but it feels amazing to be wrong. I look forward to another 10+ pts, 15+ rebs, and 2+ blocks performance from DJ tonight.
