I asked this question in the gameday thread for game 6 and got a few responses. Keep in mind guys that this is only theoretical. I have no idea where we would/may go because I love this team and it is a great team as well. But what happens IF we are eliminated, once again, from the first round? I would like to hear what you guys think.

Please remove david/cleepers/cf86, thanks!

Fire Doc? Trade Cp3? Buy BG some testicles?

This can wait until the Clippers are actually eliminated from the playoffs.

I have no idea why some people have a problem with posters "getting ahead of themselves" by looking to the Western Conference Finals, yet they don't condemn this kind of attitude.

I'd trade CP3 for Lillard (who's actually clutch in the playoffs) and Batum in an instant.... sadly, Portland would never do it.

Retool. Let CP3 get healthy before judging him, add a solid wing and a big off the bench who can defend and rebound. Draft Aaron Craft, who can defend and run an offense. I think we'd be much better off. Davis and Granger haven't been worth much this season.

That is true - they'd never do it, which makes me question how valuable he is. Lillard is robust too.

You do know that Chris and Lillard have the same amount of buzzer beating game winners in the playoffs, right?

Let's stop before you say something you don't mean, that is if you haven't already.

Not saying much, this is Lillards first post season.

Let's find out who our owner will be. If Larry Ellison and co., have him bribe Lebron to come to the Clippers!

LOL exactly. You think this is going to be a regular thing? Don't get your hopes up.

Call me when Lillard learns to play the other side of the court and facilitate the ball half as well as Chris.

Who started this thread? This is no way to support our team!

This is a discussion that we have IF the worst happens and hopefully a discussion we don't need to have. Come on, support the team already!

By beating the Rockets, the team we swept this year....

Exactly, pretty small sample size. Perhaps too early to be jumping on his bandwagon.

Great question. I think should the Clippers be eliminated in the first round then the logical thing to examine whether our core (Blake Deandre, and Chris) is effective. In the past 3 years we had had the same nucleus, but different role players. In season one together we had injuries to Butler and Billups, so the logical thing to do was get a bench to shore these positions up if injury occurred. The following year it appeared as if Billups and Butler began to show their signs of age, so we went out and got better perimeter players, Redick,Granger, and Dudley. This year we have "in theory" fixed the problems that we saw were the prime cause of the past two years playoff disasters. So if we are ousted in the first this year then its time to look at the big three we have an assess what pieces don't work

The problem is CP3 is always injured in PO and Blake is always tentative on making plays, not aggressive on leading the Clippers.

We don't do much of anything, better to make the playoffs every year and underachieve than miss them completely.

Maybe Chris Paul is the David Robinson of PGs (awesome regular season stats, inconsistent post season play), but that is still very valuable and Griffin is still young enough to develop more as a post season player. Chris Paul was really good in the playoffs just last year, including our elimination game, last year it was the rest of the team that stunk it up.

If we keep making the playoffs every year, eventually we should catch more breaks or get hot at the right time. I think Dallas is a good model for us, they kept making the playoffs and even though they disappointed a lot, eventually they got it together and won.

OKC definitely isn't going to dump Durant if they get dumped in the first round.

Whne the playoffs are over for this team, then I will worry about what to do next. I am more interested in what to do now, tonight.

We're looking at a game 7 at home, not an elimination game on the road. Slow your roll.

We won't but if it does happen I don't even want to think about it. I will give an answer once the game is over Razz.

Well the first thing we should do is panic. Panic like crazy!!!! Like JQuick said, we need to dump CP off on anyone will take him and try to get whatever they will give us. Next we gotta get rid of blake. That dude just doesn't have what it takes to be a winner, he's weak and can't make plays. Lets build this team around DJ. The best thing also might be to get rid of Doc and try a less proven coach, they might have some secrets we haven't seen before. And then we should spend a season at the bottom of the league and try to get some good draft picks, then we will be able to build a team that is set for a couple years.

And the sad part is someone will agree with this

It's pointless arguing with CP stans who always have an excuse and a list of teammates to blame.

if LAC loses tonight, VDN had better output with a much inferior roster (sans 2 of the game's best players and a DOY capable center). ffs, GSW doesn't even have Bogut and this series has gone 7.

Look guys, I made this thread to discuss the worst possible thing that would happen. I support my team and I am confident we WILL win. BUT, this is a WHAT IF.

We might as well wait to discuss this. No point in being cynical and thinking about the worst.

Not going to happen any way. CP3, Blake, DJ, and Jamal will show up big tonight. No way we lose at home. I'll give GSW credit for not losing in front of their fans. Now it's our turn.

YOu forgot unloading the 6th man of the year, there are actually a lot of people that do already agree with you if you add all their posts together.

DUMP CP3 is hilarious, there isn't team in the NBA that wouldn't take him in a second, the first ones would be the team across the hall. Sure, why not

What would be even a better subject, when DTS refuses to sell, how will our stars get out of their contracts in July? We rebuild around Bullock and Hollins. Maybe Collinson stays because he can now be the starter.

This thread should be closed. C'Mon guys, Game 7s are definitely dangerous, but now's not the time for this. Let's remain positive and root for our team.

Lets just wait, it's just few hours. BTW if you don't like CP3, i'm good for DC as pg lets bring in one combo big, SF and Back up pg. DC and BG were able to carry the team when CP3 was injured. but you don't need to agree with me, it's just my opinion.
