Ben Watanabe of NESN is calling out the Clippers' "antics." He says "the Clippers are not as good a team straight-up as the Thunder." He doesn't even give us credit for being better than the Warriors. This makes absolutely no sense to me. How? Because the Thunder have an offense that is based solely on isolation? Or because Westbrook is a horrible decision decision maker who focuses more on running into defenders and drawing fouls than running the team's offense? It must be because they have no depth, right? When you watch the Thunder, they don't even resemble an actual team.....

So busy hugging Durant's nuts that he doesn't even see the irony in his statement about the Clippers "manufacturing calls".

If we're the Bad Boys...

Chris Paul = Isiah Thomas

J.J. Redick = Joe Dumars

Blake Griffin = Bill Laimbeer?

Jamal Crawford = Vinnie Johnson

Matt Barnes = Rick Mahorn (Matt's the closest thing we have as enforcer)

DeAndre Jordan = John Salley

Danny Granger = Adrian Dantley/Mark Aguirre

It's a question on who plays the "Dennis Rodman" role (and no, not the cross-dressing, different-color version with San Antonio, Chicago, and the Lakers)...the only one I could think of, even he's never been the madman hustle player Rodman was, is Big Baby Davis.

Only similarity is that Chris Paul is a rich man's Isiah Thomas.

This is the same city that thinks the Cheatriots and Bill Belicheat are the epitome of class, so I'll take their opinion with a grain of salt.

True, but it's also the city in which Doc thrived. Now that I think of it, maybe they're still bitter that Doc chose LA over the Celtics. I still remember how upset Bill Simmons sounded when Doc left Boston. This guy is probably still that heart broken about Doc.

I don't know. Probably the same reason why we always have to compare current stars to Jordan, Magic, Bird, or any other all time great. It's just a interesting, but completely hypothetical topic to think about it.

The more I think about it, the worse the Bad Boys comparison is. I see this team as kind of a mix between the '90s Sonics and late-'90s Blazers in a way.

Pistons in the mid-80 with Bill Lambeir( 9sp?),dirtiest team in the league. Look at post 10 for the lineup

I have always felt that his year we must be the dirtiest team in the league. If we are not, how come we are number 2 in technical and getting the whistle blown on us within a minute of a game starting (being facetious in case you can't tell).

I don't think the technical fouls have that much to do with being dirty. For the Clippers this season it seems as though most of our technicals were for complaining, not doing anything dirty, like Ibaka when hit Blake below the belt last season. Then again, I could be wrong. It's hard to keep track of all the T's.

ESPN recently did a 30 for 30 episode about them just a few weeks ago...it's a great documentary, and it's a must-see for anyone who's a fan of 1980s-era NBA. You have to check your program guide to find out when it comes back on. Pretty much the long and short of it is that kinda goes behind the scenes on how the team was put together--Isiah being drafted in '81, the Cavs trading Laimbeer to the Pistons, Chuck Daly becoming coach, and so on.

ESPN just made a 30 for 30 film on the Bad Boys. I've been meaning to watch it, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Magic did call us "showtime" kind of fitting considering Paul most resembles Magic in regards to style of play.

How are we the "Bad Boys" when most league considered us "soft"? Doesn't make any sense.

I guess opponents just don't like us, Floppers, Soft, now BAD BOYS? All in ONE season? One POST season?

Well Blake almost leads the league in techs. Just behind Demarcus Cousins. Blake and CP can be pretty dirty players lol.

Who needs the "showtime" nickname when we can have our own and stick to it "lob city" or even better "blowout city"...

I hope our clippers win a championship and then Lob City can be that monicker just like "Showtime" and "Bad Boys".

So I guess there's still at least one person in Boston who took it personally when Doc left. This article is trash.

I want the Clippers to become the Detoit Pistons type team. I want the Clippers to be hated! I wish the Clippers would develop the Durant Rules like the Bad Boys did to Jordan! LoL
