The problem, which needs to be addressed now or next year is defense, defense and more defense. Plus rebounding, rebounding and more rebounding. Changes will and must be made. Hopefully it's sooner then later.
Yup, said it since last season ended, and I've been parroting it since, our playoff hopes depend on defense and out playoff problem has consistently been defense. I know we had little lags on offense that we are more likely to focus on and could have won last night on offense, but man, I just don't buy relying so much on offense to win. . We didn't play well enough to win. I kept saying game 1 was an aberration and okc was much better than that. Our ball movement has stopped and we aren't defending. This is done in 5 which isn't much of an improvement from cp3s first season.

I don't think it is done in 5, but it is adjustment time for Doc. It's time to do something that makes the opposition adjust to you and not have yourself be the one constantly trying to catch up with adjustments. We'll see what he pulls off, but certainly one thing that would help a lot is if Granger wasn't sucking.

Also game 1 wasn't about OKC being bad, it was about our offense being astronomically and unsustainably good. Their offense in game 1 would have also beat us in game 2 based on how our offense performed with duds from both Blake and Crawford.

pretty much that last comment, have yet to see OKC troubled in the way Memphis had done them in the first round, KD and RW are getting anything they want on offense, have to shut them down below 30pts. We have to find a way to grind them down, there is no way we can win this series by purely 'outscoring' them

CRY BABIES!!!!!!!! Clippers I love ya but I have to be honest. If you would stop whinning about fouls called or not called and spend more time focusing on the game we can win the next one. Use that negative energy and put it into rebounding, being prepared to catch the ball, relying on teammates and getting in the paint. I'm just a female that loves basketball but I can see flaws. Dudley needs to keep the bench warm, play Willie Green, rest CP3 when needed not because he's in foul trouble, if Blake starts crying, let him warm the bench and think about what he did and needs to do. You have #3 Defensive player, top forward, and 6th man of the year. NO EXCUSES. If Zac Randolph had not been suspended you would be playing Memphis. OKC can be beat and Clippers can do it again and again.

Memphis was tought to beat, and a great defensive team. However, Randolph deserved that suspension. The blame goes on Randoph for being a dirty player. He should have cared about his team enough to keep his temper under control and not get suspended by punching a guy. As for your post, I get the fact that many people here are blaming the refs when they ought to be pointing the finger at our own team for not playing defense. Still, I will look at you with some scrutiny because we have had a lot of trolls, and to me this post is a very dubious one...forgive me but you really don't seem like a fan. I have my issues with the way our fan base refuses to hold our guys accountable, but to be honest the tone you have is characteristic of a troll. I just wonder which one you are...vanilla man, Lakers4life...hmm. This new found resurgence of trolls will have me putting my criticism of my team on pause and focus my energy on trolls. Hopefully I'm wrong about you

I've been a Clipper fan since the 90's when I had season tickets and couldn't give them away. Was there for them when they were the last team in their division. I didn't just jump on the band wagon. I say it like I see it. The Clippers need a wake up call, not a nanny like you to justify why they aren't playing well. They need to toughen up. My comment regarding Randolph was because he had OKC's number which shows they can be beat. Tough love is hard but fair. Once again if they spent more time playing instead of arguing with the ref's they would be a better team.

"No Blood no Foul"

This only applies if you play for a team that isn't named the Los Angeles Clippers. And to think people say he ran into his elbow. Good thing Ron Garretson wasn't officiating this game; I can see it now: Blake is sporting a bloody nose and goes up to Ron and says "look at this blood. Did I do this to myself?!" Wack! Get Out!!

They really wanted Ibaka to stay in that game. A foul (which should have been his sixth) he committed was given to Durant who only had one foul the whole game. I can't believe Durant was shocked he got called for the foul on Crawford before halftime. Maybe he temporarily lost the feeling in his hand and didn't feel the contact.

On a good note it was good to see Blake face up more. I don't need JVG to point this out to me; because we watched the Clippers games this season when they don't appear on national TV on a back to back or 5 games in 7 nights (even those put me to sleep games vs. the Hawks). This "trend" needs to continue (why Blake is a different player on national TV is beyond me). Of course it would be nice if Blake could put refs in a situation where they have no choice but to call fouls on who is guarding Blake/who Blake is guarding, but that's like asking the Heat to get knocked out before the finals. I don't know what you have to do to get a foul call if your nose is bleeding though.

Maybe the refs are seeing red, I don't know.
