Stop spreading BS. Paul only messed up 1 possession. Stop acting like the loss is all his fault. He got fouled at the end by reggie Jackson, refs took DJ out of the game, gave OKC the ball when it was out of Reggie's hand, and called that marginal contact foul on Westbrook on the 3.

CP3 does NOT deserve blame. Sad to see people tryna bash him on this site.

I am pretty shocked there was no statement from the NBA at all today. It is now past close of business on the East Coast, so i guess nothing is coming? To be honest, i thought Doc may get fined cus he let them have it in his presser.

Even CP3 blamed himself, just because the refs screwed up does not absolve him from criticism for his own major mistakes down the stretch. Even if this game was called fairly, running the shot clock down every possession was STILL colossally stupid just because of the high chance of Durant and Westbrook hitting some BS shots.

It's the same complaint I have when football coaches play for the field goal instead of going for the jugular. Playing not to lose is a losing strategy more often than not.

WHAT? This is perfect prove that the FIX IS IN! There's no getting around this if you're the refs. Just admit it and say you're favoring OKC. Don't lie about it.

he definitely deserves blame. Lots of it. Still they were in a position to win. He deserves blame for blowing a good lead, but he does not deserve the whole blame for the loss. Refs deserve the rest of the blame. Players play and deserve blame or credit depending onhow they perform. Refs should never be part of the reason why a team loses.

Must read from Steve Perrin...

http://www.clipsnation.com/2014/5/14/57 ... thers-lied

Tweet it, post it on your facebook, do whatever it takes... if enough noise is made, the NBA might do something about it. I'd fancy our chances with a 2-point lead and the ball with 11 seconds left if they chose to replay the final 11 seconds like they did after Shaq's erroneous "6th foul".

Hey I'm one of CP's biggest homers. I'm just repeating what CP said in the post game conference. He was really hard on himself and was extremely crushed. He knows the mistakes he made and he's going to come out firing on game 6.

on a side note you can't expect to win when you let 2 opposing guys go for 38 and 27pts respectively, after 5 games our defense has still no answer for WB and KD SMH

For game 6, which of the following would help ease the pain?

-40 point blowout a la GSW

-the closest game possible and OKC losing because of terrible officiating in the last minute

-Ryan Hollins cheap shotting Westbrook/Durant, then key OKC players leaving

the bench and forcing multiple suspensions for Game 7

I don't know, they're all tempting...

question is, is 2 days enough for this guy to forget and come back better for game 6. Its easy to psyche yourself up for redemption if the other team beat you last game, but what do you do when you beat yourself. Watching this guys interview yesterday makes you think he just wants to crawl under a rock and not come out for a year.

Next statement from the NBA: Nothing conclusive proves that Reggie Jackson is fouling CP3 in the picture where Reggie Jackson is fouling CP3.

I think the best has to be either the blow out or CP draining the game winner in Westbrick or Durant's face. Can't go wrong either way, but personally I'd want the CP game winner. It would be a f**k you to the Thunder and his doubters.

Don't you just love how they pretend how it was only crucial call that was in question? It was a number of calls. I know the Clippers are every bit as good as OKC but every game I wait to see when the refs gonna start their fixing. Game 6 is gonna be interesting. Anyone going to the game should take signs like they do at WWE events.

On 11/23 and 6/22 respectively... that 17/45 equates to under 38% shooting. The defense was fine before our rim protector was taken out of the game.

With the way OKC is reffed, we need the 40 point blowout just to win by 10.

For those that gave me grief about CP3 not fouling Westbrick on that three, here it is:

Then Chris should have gotten free throws as well because Jackson clearly rakes his arm. These fouls should be going both ways, but it clearly didn't.

"No replay provided such evidence" is just them backing up Brothers' statement immediately after the game. Since we all know he lied, the NBA is complicit in his lie and is officially corrupt.

However, Doc spoke with them today and decided not to issue an official protest. My guess is that they're sticking to the "only 2 replays were available" story and quietly putting the blame on OKC's scorers... after all, they've already given Westbrook a bogus triple-double.

I'm betting that words like "for the good of the league" and "these things tend to even out" were said in that conversation, and as such tomorrow's game-plan will be to attack the paint relentlessly. Set your DVRs to run late... I have a feeling we'll spend a lot of time at the line.

I'm also worried about Paul's psyche heading into game 6. Being the competitor that he is, I'm sure he's been very critical of himself ever since the game. Hope for the best.

No, they don't, the rule only affects if the ball goes directly out of bounds and touches nothing else. In this case it touched Reggie's other hand, which is why it doesn't apply like people think it does.

There seems to be a far amount of amnesia about the calls that went LAC's way in the first quarter. The reality of this game is that given a lead of 4 points with 47 seconds to go it is inexcusable that the referees even came into play. Chris Paul had a nightmare stretch of plays include trying to milk a 3 point foul from halfway when Westbrooke picked his pocket. If as some are claiming this was some form of NBA conspiracy to get OKC to the finals I am not so sure they would have waited until 40 seconds to go with a 7 point clippers lead.

The biggest miss in the whole final minute sequence was not the ball being given to OKC to inbound but the missed foul by Reggie Jackson on Chris Paul with 5 seconds on the clock forcing the turnover. For that one there is no two way argument. Clear foul missed by the refs and free throws for Paul. But its was missed game over and game 6 remains absolutely winnable for LAC

Doesn't matter whether Westbrook was fouled or not, because OKC should not have ever gotten the ball.

I've come to the conclusion that no amount of talking about this will change it. My only regret if and when we get bounced is that we are wading into troubled waters due to the ownership situation. That could torpedo the ability of the Paul-griffin-doc era to improve the team. We are so close

Clippers just need to win 2 in a row. The past is the past and there is absolutely nothing we can do about the NBA and it's rig-jobs. BUT, we can come out and put that past us. We will prove everyone wrong that we are not the same old Clippers and that we are legit if we come out to play in G6 and G7! Go Clippers, I believe!

But they didn't wait. FIVE of our guys in foul trouble in the 2nd Q, a frankly baffling clear-path call, Westbrook and Durant shooting more FT's than our entire team... they helped them the entire game! We just played well enough for 45 minutes to overcome it.

Now do I think that there are secret memos from the league office sent out to all officials? ...not at all. But I do know that if I have a bunch of 50/50 calls to make, and calling them a certain way will make my boss more money, I'll call them that way.

Clippers have been favored to win at home all series. That means a close-out game on our floor is likely the end of the series in 6 instead of 7. It also means that further down the line, there's no opportunity for casual fans to tune in to see the #1 and #2 players going head-to-head for a championship. Add to that the fact that as soon as the Clippers are eliminated, the volume of Donald Sterling story gets turned down - a LOT - and that scale is tipped decidedly against the Clippers.

With that said, I think the sheer amount of adversity our team has come through so far, the exemplary face Doc has shown of the NBA for the last couple of weeks and the horrendous officiating that has hurt us much more than it has helped us will give some credence to the "America's team" label the media is trying to pin on us.

If we get eliminated from this series, either tomorrow or Saturday, I believe it's because the NBA feels it's best to stick to the script for this year and make us the league darlings next year when Sterling is no more. I wouldn't be at all surprised if such were hinted to Doc by the league office today... it's not like him to turn meek and not lodge a formal complaint just on principle.

I'm calling it now... Clippers 2015 NBA champions.

That is actually worse than I thought. I figured if anything it was a finger. Regardless, my point is that refs should not decide games unless they are forced to. In this particular case, in real time, it really did not look like much of a foul. It was the type of call that you would have to look at the replay close up to determine if it was really valid. Refs generally don't make calls like that on game deciding plays. Furthermore, knowing that they did, they should have blew the wistle upon ANY contact on the next play. which they didn't.

Oh well. After listening to the Doc interview I feel a little better. Even though we have had no shortage of adversity, maybe this is the big mental mind fuccck that we need to overcome to have what it takes to make it all the way.

Well suspicious that Miami and OKC both came back with runs and they both foul or get fouled on a play , but the refs reward them somehow. Not so much with Miami because they gave the ball to Brooklyn

Sheesh, the Nets just got reamed by a non-call on an obvious foul on Paul Pierce which would have sent him to the line.

WTF is the purpose of a replay if you can't use it to make the right call? Such a stupid rule.

If they gave that ball to Miami, you have concrete evidence the fix was in last night. They absolutely had to give it to Brooklyn for no other reason than the call last night.
