http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2064616-report-paul-pierce-interest ed-in-joining-doc-rivers-and-los-angeles-clippers Opinions? Do we need to go young and athletic 3&D Small Forward Or a Savvy Veteran who is 36 and could possibly make Big Shots? ....

Pierce would be a great short term answer. Need to go young and athletic long term but pierce is a fierce competitor and still a good defender. Not to mention if we get one respected free agent to come in spite of drama more might feel ok about coming

He should be on the fall back list IF we can't acquire a younger, defensive SF who can also shoot.

Hope I'm wrong, but he's going to turn into the next useless SF for us strictly because of age.

SF off the bench, and we need another guy as a starter, maybe someone like Marvin Williams who has size, can shoot and defend, or if possible, someone more reliable like Ariza.

1-year-deal, vet-minimum... I can't see the harm. Cheap to waive a contract like that if we needed a roster spot.

If he signed on for a ray Allen type role that would be great. But he doesn't quite have enough to be a major minutes starter

Question: Granger or Pierce?

Agree. But since we got no GM, we also don't have a lot of creativity into acquiring talents. Our methods for the past 2 years have been picking up guys whose past their prime on bargains

This is a rumor and is not based on any quotes by Pierce. The article is pure speculation.

It's an easy answer, but we'll still have to wait and see. Like joe said, it is speculation, nothing concrete, but everyone kind of knows it is an option with Doc and LA being his home town.

Pick up Pierce and bring back EB both for vet min. If you can, get Ariza. If not trade for an athletic wing 3/D.

We first have to make sure Doc and the players are satisfied with the progress the NBA makes on Sterling(just heard he won't pay the fine and has hired a lawyer). Right now, I'm not sure anyone on our team will be back. This is going to be a process guys and until it happens, I'm not sure I see any player signing here.

We also need to get someone to take on Dud's contract! Got to rid ourselves of that $4 mil deadweight.

Wouldn't mind having him come off the bench.

I wish we can someone how snatch Kawhi Leonard from the Spurs love that guy. He does all the little thing too, hustle , play D, hit 4s, drive it, and hit free throws consistently. He would be great on a team like ours.

I'm a big fan of Kawhi but he's still under contract for another year and then an RFA the year after that.

When we get Granger we thought he could help us unfortunately did not happen and he is younger than PP, so i guess as back up and for minimum, but who knows what's Doc plan, besides we still have a Sterling problem, so i can't see our future right now, what will happen next season.

I thought the Spurs considered him the future of their franchise, which would suggest he's not going anywhere.

Only off the bench for very little money. Not as a starter. No way.
