Well, it's been a thrilling ride! The Clippers have done something I've never thought possible, and they've done it with poise, determination, and great success. From breaking countless franchise records to having the funnest offense in the league, the Clippers were truly a spectacle this year. While our future is hazed, I've got to say I've never experienced a sports season quite like this one. If our coach can keep us together next year, and we have a healthy squad with a consistent defense, the sky is the limit. Thank you all for joining me for this rollercoaster of emotion! Here's to hoping we have a great offseason (and OKC gets swept by the Spurs)!

Gonna miss this team so much! We are going to be a much different and better team next year. Hope we see Ariza in a Clippers uniform. #GoSpursGo

This series is nothing but history!

Clipper fans lets keep out heads up. Our superstars are quite young with a lot left on the tank. This is just a step to success. Doc will make the right moves this offseason and they will strive through the season playoffs and eventually the finals. Love my team and always will

Don't see the benefit in bringing in Trevor Ariza but it was a great season and the Clippers should be hungry and ready for next season.

nothing to appreciate! I love the clipps, but if a second round out was the goal then keep vinny, Billups, and Butler. This was a sad day in sports..cant believe it. that our guys gave this series to the thunder...dissapointed, especially CP3. his legacy on the line an 6 games was the best

Thanks for the memories. Just hope the Donald mess gets cleaned up ASAP. By free agency ideally but at least by opening game next year. Can't wait to see Doc work with a whole offseason, hope the Sterlings stay out of his way.

I'm thrilled at the success this team has had, because we can only get better. BG will improve(don't know how but he will) DJ will make at least 50% of his fts. All important role players are under contract, so we can now go out and grab a few bigs to stack the bench, Pierce might come and join give us what he's got... Honestly I don't see how we can get worse, I only see us going up not down...

I wish this season hadn't been tainted by Donald Sterling. There were a lot of great things that happened this season, Blake's rise to me was the biggest. I hope he can continue to improve. The sky is the limit for him and I think he can be even better. Just get this mess fixed so we can improve. As long as Doc is here I think things will be fine.

What's there to appreciate? Another playoff flameout, we've still never gotten past the second round of the playoffs. The regular season means nothing to me anymore.

That wasn't the goal at all, cp3 will learn and improve. He has never worked with doc, now that he knows him and knows the offense better, he will adjust throughout the summer and work his ass off to not fail next year.

Still sad but it's been a hell of a year. I think we had the hardest season, mainly because of all the emotional stress. We'll be better next year for sure.

The 1999-00 season was a pretty hard and depressing season to watch. This season is heaven compared to that.

Appreciate your damn team! With all the stuff that they went through with sterling, the warriors, the refs and still managed to battle against OKC. Appreciate the hearth loyalty and dedication these players give every night. You sound like one of those bandwagon fans man. If you've been there since the clippers were at the bottom, you appreciate this success and realize that there's always a next year !

Haters see what they want to see. Actually, it's just people in general when they have a specific idea of what another person is like, and choose to only observe things that support their view.

This stings so much more than the 05-06 season. This team was so awesome. I'M SO DEPRESSED RIGHT NOW.

However, we will be in the Finals next year. LBJ will get his 3rd ring this year, and the Clippers dynasty will have to start next year.

Awesome thread, Clipperfan9! I am most excited because this team has so much room to grow. Though we still lost in the 2nd round, the experience we gained was immeasurable. To be a champion, you gotta suffer the scars of battle. "This isn't supposed to be easy" was Doc's rallying cry all post-season, and the team bought in. They know they have to work even harder and I have no doubt they will. No one team has ever had to play under the these stressful conditions, and yet the Clippers still showed that they can be resilient even in the worst of times. If we can beef up the roster with a few more athletes, and continue to develop under Doc's system, this team will become the championship contender we've always hoped they could be.

I hope the Spurs beat OKC and face the Heat in the final round. The Heat vs OKC will be a snore fest and at least the Spurs play good quality basketball and are a respectable team.

Thanks to all the guys and girls here who made me, from Lakersland, feel welcome. It was a great ride.

I think the cards, with the DTS fiasco, were stacked against us. That both Sterlings are threatening to drag this out made the NBA scared of us in the Finals. Thus those "dagger" charging calls. There was no way they were going to let this team represent the NBA as long as Shelly was in the stands.

If we get rid of these pariahs by next season, the lid will be lifted and we will likely get to the Finals.

This team has incredible upside. The best NBA coach, two great superstars and -- if DJ can learn to shoot free throws (as long as he can't, no title) -- this is an amazing team. Not only good, but fun to watch.

Memo to CTB members -- most of you are great, but some of you are just too negative. This is, after all, a game, entertainment. It is not life or death. Enjoy the games but don't go into the "sky is falling " or "CP3 sucks" mode at the other team's runs. This is basketball. This stuff happens. These players are humans, not robots. They make mistakes, like all of us. Other than that, you guys are tops.

Next year -- FINALS!!!!

You're very welcome, Baad. Just one thing...

Starting next season, no more talk about how you used to be a laker fan. It's kind of like dating a girl who always talks about her ex... even if she constantly talks sh*t about him, it gets a little old!

You escaped your abusive relationship and now you're one of us.

Repped High Quality Post

I want to add, speaking strictly as a fan of bball since the mid 90's... this has been the most emotionally taxing season I've ever had. Going from a promising playoff run, to the embarrassing exposure of the owner, to thinking the franchise seriously may be lost, to the triumphant recovery and win against Golden State, to the hectic reorganization of the Clippers front office, to the surprising Game 1 blowout at OKC, Game 4 epic comeback, and Game 5 epic collapse.... Phew!! There was so much drama and emotional baggage this season that I seriously started to question why I follow sports...

But just like the team has gained experience and grown, I feel like I have too as a sports fan. I've tried my best to adopt the "never too high, never too low" approach that our players preach, and I feel much better for it. Even after tonight, I feel at peace. So I want to thank CTB, the clips blogs, clips podcasts, twitter, and especially the Clippers team for helping me evolve as a fan, because as long as this team is around... there isn't any reason for me to quit rooting for them. Go Clippers!

The Dudley part makes me concerned for you Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_25

EDIT: Actually, most-improved is quite realistic considering how bad he was this year.

From dog turd to NBA player would be a massive improvement.

This was a great year and we got to see Blake and DJ evolve as players, but in the end, this season was a disappointment. We had championship aspirations. The refs really screwed us this year, but we still had a chance. I'm proud of our guys and our coach for the great year. Still looking to win it all next year.

Some of my impressions from after the playoffs:

We need to get rid of Jamal, or at least get another wing that can close out games. Jamal is not clutch. He is very sticky with the ball, especially in today's game. I personally think he is the reason why we lost the game. He has gotten better defensively, but Doc can coach that to some extent. We need another clutch player to close out games but he needs to be able to play some d too. Jamal doesn't fit the system and really stalls the offense a lot. When he makes shots he is great, but when he is in, he is the only one taking shots. We need someone who can pass the ball inside to the bigs and can finish inside too.

Big baby is a decent backup big and i would like to keep him, but we need at least 1 more backup big that can play.

Granger was ok. would be great to have on a matt barnes type deal or less.

DC is a great answer as the backup pg, but we still need that backup wing to take his minutes at the 2 when we use him.

CP3 needs to work on his shot, at lot. He needs to be more confident in with his shot in the playoffs. He passed up a lot of open looks and missed a lot of open shots. He even missed a lot of fts in the playoffs. Idk what happened there. I wish he had the confidence in his shot to shoot the 3 ball like curry and lillard. Those guys can really get there shot out there and take advantage of 3 pts.

Reddick was great. Love the energy on offense and his shot is wet. I like him going forward. Great fit in the system.

Dudley has to go. I'm still furious about trading Bledsoe for him. I think if we had Bledsoe, even though it was only for this year, we would have had that perimiter player we needed to win it all. He could have taken on curry and westbrook on d and gave CP some more energy on offense. He had a great year besides the injury problems but he has gotten much much better. This is the one problem I have had with Doc so far.

Blake Griffin is only getting better. He has improved in everything expect. He needs to be more aggressive on offense and not be afraid to take fts after contact. His defense has gotten way better under Doc and that will be a trend. He will improve everything and bring something new next year as usual.

DJ is now one of the top defensive players in the league and changes a ton of shots every game. He still needs to box out a little better and learn to long arm rebounds instead of jumping for everything. I would love to see him get the ball more in the post early to get the opponents bigs in foul trouble. That would get Blake going and help the offense tremendously. I would also like to see Doc play him more minutes even when he is in foul trouble from the start of the 4th. If he plays his minutes early, we don't have to worry about hack a jordan as much. He obviously needs to work on his ft shooting a lot. He was the story of the season under Doc.

And Doc was amazing. I thought he would be good, but he really made me feel like we had a chance to win it all this year. We need to keep him here.

We need to see what we can get with this sterling problem only getting worse, but I'm confident that Doc can make it work. We have chemistry as is, but we need to find some new role players.

Great year considering we have long injuries to JJ and Paul and had to adjust the SF rotation. Think we need to take the Pacers mentality next season and go all out for the one seed to get better matchups to the conference finals. In order to do this we can't have needs like no bench bigs or clear starting SF going into camp.

Wonder if Collison knows in the back of his mind if he wants to come back? He talked about money before so we will have to wait and see. Regardless what happens we need to keep at least two scoring options on the bench. Not a reach thinking we were helped by not having teams double on Crawford or like they use to Mo Williams before Nick Young.

What is worse is when BG passed to DJ for the stuff -- I thought we had it. Down two with momentum. Instead, Blake fouled out and the basket was nullified. That was when I knew the season was over. And I knew that we would have to wait for next year when the Turdlings are gone and we have a new owner.

Great season nevertheless!!!!!

Great season! Lots of improvement overall. Had a lot of fun this season, was able to take my son to multiple games, and even got to experience a game court side.(right behind the racist one himself! shout out to CP3IV for the massive hookup!) We need a solid 3. Wouldn't mind seeing Ariza/Pierce/Bullock at the 3. We'll have to wait and see how the draft shapes out and see who's available. I'm certain we'll make the WCF next year. I think this was the defining season for the Clippers. The Clippers just gained the much needed playoff experience to set themselves up for a Championship run, kinda like the Lakers before their first of 3 straight with Shaq. Guys like Blake really gained playoff experience and will know what to expect. Plus having a future hall of fame coach like Doc for another season. Silver knows go much money makes off the Clippers success so he'll make.sure the Sterling family is gone soon.

Keep your head up fellas, this was a great season! Incorporating a brand new system and taking the 3rd seed in a competitive conference is a solid accomplishment. Just think how much better we'll be next season since the players will already know Doc's system! Doc is an amazing coach and I'm very happy we have him for a couple more years.

As for the offseason, all we need is a good SF and a solid backup big and I'm confident we can get to the finals next year.
