Don't think the Thunder will backdoor sweep the Spurs like last time but things are looking ugly. Thunder could definitely win this in 7.

Basketball ended for me when Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs... I might watch elimination games for the finals.. but that is about it.

I promised myself the pleasure of watching Durant cry... so I'll watch when it's an elimination game for OKC, whether it's WC or finals.

I don't think players want to avoid those cities, that's a misconception. Especially San Antonio and OKC. Look at Derek Fisher who was cut by OKC once and was dying to get back there. The Thunder even attracted guys like Caron Butler, who wanted to go to a contending team. San Antonio attracted Stephen Jackson, Barbosa, and other veterans. As long as you build a contender veterans will come.

Also, I don't know why people act as if these small market teams were based in cities like Bakersfield. San Antonio, Memphis, Milwaukee, Portland, and New Orleans are awesome cities in their own right with crazy entertainment and night life.

I think these small markets do start with the draft because it is cheaper than building through free agency and very CBA friendly. It has nothing to do with their ability or inability to lure agents. Especially Portland..that is an amazing town I hear. Again, if you build a contender anyone will want to join.

Watching the Thunder and Spurs play shows how close the Clippers were from the finals. Ibaka played in every game, unlike the playoff with the Spurs. The Clips learned a big lesson this season and I can only see them going all the way next season. Like it or not I see OKC and the Miami in the finals.

J Quick! No Figure Tony Brothers reffing a pivotal game 5 for Thunder! Do You Think It Becomes 12-0 with him officiating?

The problem is that they can't put the lengthy Kawhi Leonard on him since he is busy covering Durant. If the Spurs were facing us they would put Kawhi on CP3 which would give him problems. We all know Tony Parker can't guard a garbage can so of course he will get torched even with Timmy guarding the paint.

But yea you shouldn't guard WB without help unless your Tony Allen or an athletic wing player.

With how quickly the Spurs have folded mentally since Serge came back, I doubt OKC will even need the refs tonight.

Spurs won by about 30 tonight. Even Tony Brothers couldn't save OKC.

And that...is why you never count out the Spurs.

EDIT: http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/5/29/5763392/tim-duncan-russell-westb rook-kick-groin

I swear, it's like OKC knows no other way to compete than attacking where a man should never be attacked.

I haven't watched many games since Game Six. But tonight I will watch cos the Thunder was given a free pass into the WCF.

Granted, it looks like KD is a nice enough guy. He even loves his Mom!!! But fair is fair. You shouldn't Doneghy into the Finals.

No! I am getting flashbacks. Game 5 for Clippers all over again , but now its the Spurs. Why does OKC gets so lucky. They get away with a goaltend and got away with a ball against LA. Man

It's not luck when the refs are in OKC's back pocket.

Steve Kerr: "This feels like that game against the Clippers".

With Durant getting FT's for a flop and the refs not calling a blatant goaltend all in the last minute, I couldn't agree more. SMFH.

The reffing in the 4th quarter of this game (number 6) look s a lot like home cooking to me. 12 fouls on SA in 3 quarters, then all of a sudden 10 in one quarter. Refs let this one go to OT,the OKC-8 strike again.

This is why my wife demands we never waste our money going to playoff games again. The NBA has their chosen teams and they let us all know by the fair reffing we see. Her take is we will NEVER EVEr have the Clipper-8 in our pockets.

I know it sounds mean - but it is even sweeter that okc lost in front of their home crowd like they did to us.

Honestly...that's the difference between the Spurs, my Blazers, and the Clippers right there. The refs tried to steal another one, but Old Man Duncan wouldn't let it happen.

I am so excited that OKC lost to the Spurs. It's like redemption for how the Clips lost to OKC by bogus ref calls. Thank you, Spurs!

I am glad this happened the way it did. Clippers can look and this and know that you have to better 3 players better than the 5 on the floor. Against OKC, you have to....

Thank goodness that obvious goaltend that the refs missed (which was in OKC's favor) didn't matter in the end. Refs sure tried to give the game again to OKC, but Timmy and company prevailed.

Durant is officially a choke artist and way overrated. It's clear that Westbrook (offensively) and Ibaka (defensively) are the most important players on the Thunder, yet Durant gets all the credit, showered with awards, and takes absolutely zero criticism. It's borderline criminal how much **** Westbrook takes when he is carrying the Thunder.

Without his bogus free throws, Durant would be an All-Star level player at best. Even with the reffing, he is definitely not anywhere near LeBron's level and never will be. Prime Blake will be better than him, too.

Question lol. Since you have labeled Chris Paul and Durant as Choke Artist...which choke artist would you rather have on a team?

The Spurs are the ultimate franchise. They had an epic meltdown at the end and so did the Clippers. We saw what the better team could do when faced with adversity. Again, why do you feel the need to constantly try to call me out for something I have said. Its getting really annoying. But hey The Thunder had their chances. Their Point Guard and SF STARS had about 10 turnovers each. The Thunder can go cry now and OKC can start their trade Westbrook rumors. Ugh damn Clipper Joe take a chill pill.

Easy there Champ. I was just going off of this comment:

Spurs win can't believe they made it back again. This again should kill the myth depth does not matter in the playoffs.

If I had to pick one, I'd begrudgingly pick Durant, because the refs rig games for him and it's still a lot easier for wings to win championships than it is for ball-dominant point guards. We'd definitely have to run the offense through Blake, though.

You can argue all you like, but keep it on topic. This petty bickering over who is "calling out" whom just ruins the board for everybody else.
