This interview gives me everything I wanted to know about Steve. His enthusiasm and hunger to win really is amazing.

After seeing this I couldn't have asked for a better owner. I'm so so so so excited right now.

Also, major props to the interviewer who asked all the right questions.

We hit the f**king jackpot!

I love this guy... and so will the 29 other owners because he just doubled the value of their investments.

Congratulations fellow Clips fans. A new era begins...

Honestly, Clippers fans should give Shelly Sterling a standing-o if they ever show her on the big screen. Past actions aside, she completely outmanoeuvered her husband's legal team to bring this debacle to the cleanest possible end in the shortest possible timeframe.

Oh man. After hearing this interview, I am so excited for this Clippers team. We now have a supportive owner who is willing to go the distance in doing whatever it takes to win a championship. What a blessing. I'm looking forward to hearing Doc's reaction along with the players.

Yeah, after hearing that she put the Clippers' needs first, I no longer felt the animosity I had towards her. She paved the way for the Clippers to be even more successful under a much better owner. Kudos to her for getting this mess solved as quickly as possible.

Come to think of it, if it weren't for Shelly's lawsuit against V. Stiviano that prompted Stiviano to seek revenge by releasing that infamous tape, we still would be knee-deep in Donald Stirling crap. Lol

In hindsight, Docs maybe did a good job in letting her attend playoff games. That gesture basically change or help her mind in providing Clipper's interest first!

Shelly comes out of this with a cool $1,300,000,000 profit AFTER tax (and potentially, control of ALL of Donald's assets if he truly has lost his faculties), and hopefully the tranny faces civil and criminal penalties for illegally recording and distributing a private conversation. I think we can declare a winner in this catfight!

Why wouldn't he buy the practice facility? Apparently in Shelly's packet there was an option to buy the building. That concerns me...why not buy it if you plan to stay?

Man, you really enjoy being the ant at the picnic, don't you.

Could be any of a million reasons. Survey and escrow alone could take months, dragging into next season, delaying and jeopardizing the sale... perhaps he's eyeing a piece of real estate to build his own facility.

I swear... when we finally win a championship, you'll be the guy complaining about the parade route.

roll

p.s. Cheers, Caps!

I don't think he will move team but buying that building would settle it

the 'Ballmasters' don't have a 'D League ' team any more.

the 'Clipper' name will pass down to them in the practice facility, eh?

Oh, when President Jordan is inaugurated in Jan 20, 2017, the Ballmasters will need a new center.

And Ballmer isn't a billionaire with a fifteen buck ball cap and a Sportsclip mullet haircut. He is a guy who actually made his money, not inherited it.

Jim Buss must be shaking in his "fake everyman" Payless shoes thinking about Steve Ballmer competing for L.A.'s attention. He is clearly out of Ballmer's league.

It sure looks like Los Angeles went from the best owner, the late Dr. Jerry Buss, to the best owner, Steve Ballmer.

DUDE, did you not just watch the interview??!? Hahaha

He is NOT 100% moving the team. No other way to make you believe it, it' even has to be agreed upon with the board of all the owners and it just would take a miracle and a brain malfunction for it to happen. I say there is .0000000000000000001 % chance he moves the team.

I'm 95 percent sure he won't sell but he did get a little shifty when they asked the question. Started stroking his nose and his demeanor changed. Plus he didn't buy our practice facility.

He does seem great if he's telling the truth. We don't have a choice but to trust him, I guess. I will be heartbroken if he is lying

I am very happy. Look at some of this guys motivational speeches. This guy goes ham. They say he's the next mark Cuban.... Only way richer lol

I hope not. Can't stand Cuban. He thought he outsmarted the CBA and acts like he is smarter than everyone else. Can't stand him.

I have a strange feeling we get Lebron for next year... I know weird but I feel it in my heart.... No DJ though and I'm fine with that

I have that same feeling. I also feel that nobody who craves the spotlight -- and Ballmer does -- would trade L.A. for Seattle. Right now Jim Buss is looking in the mirror and saying, "Maybe the mullet is out of style...nah!!!"

You bet Chris Paul is going to be talking to his best friend Lebron over the summer. Btw, excellent interview by Steve Ballmer. From what I've read/seen about him so far, he may end up being the most enthusiastic owner in the entire league.

CP3, LeBron and BG -- that team would never lose except when they would lose interest.

I seriously doubt it happens this offseason. Aside from cap considerations, LeBron really loves Riley. My guess is that he opts in for next season and gives Pat the chance to keep the team in contention. 2015 could be a different story, though.

Great interview. I wonder what his presence will be like at games. Will he sit behind the bench Mark Cuban style or be up in the suites? In any case, he's pumping a lot of positive energy into the franchise.

Pretty much anything is better than sterling.

Btw if sterling really does have dementia then it makes sense why he finally started opening up the purse strings a couple years ago... He didn't know what he was doing!

We aren't getting LeBron this summer, but after seeing this I feel like we will be the only other team that will peak his interest and will be deep into LeBron rumors all summer until eventually he re-signs with Miami.

He is the anti-Donald Sterling. I preferred the Ellison group but he isn't a bad runner up Wink. Not bad at all.

If you mean that we're going to be America's team and Seattle is in America, then yeah.

Otherwise, Seattle had its team and they let them walk. If they want them back, go bother Oklahoma.

If Seattle's fans, politicians, and money guys were really interested in getting a team back, they'd be trying to get a D-League team and packing the house every night (something they mostly failed to do for the Sonics when they were in town). That's kind of like what OKC did to prove they could support a team when they "rented" the Hornets during Katrina.

Instead, they are far more interested in pretending to be innocent victims who got screwed by the evil NBA, which is why they hypocritically feel entitled to any team that goes up for sale (despite how angry they were when OKC took their team away).

Here's a very long (it's in 3 parts) Steve Balmer interview on dutch television a couple a years ago. You get to know a lot about him. Some dutch language (without subtitles) but not much. Seems like a great enthousiastic guy.
