It looks like he's been eating at vegetarian and vegan places recently. If he's serious about eating healthier and drops a ton of weight, he might end up being a big upgrade to our roster.

I doubt we can get anything for Jared right now, so let's hope he comes back better.

I still haven't haven't given up hope on him. I think his tweets reek of attention but if it results in a better player than he was last season, I'm in. Realizing our cap situation, I think he stays.

Maybe the shape they were referring to was a pumpkin.

Hopefully he gets into shape just so we can fool a stupid team into thinking this bum is worth anything in a trade.

I don't buy it though since he got all defensive about his obvious out-of-shapeness last year, whining that the fans "expected him to look like Blake." That reeks of not taking your career seriously enough - why would that suddenly change now?

I don't think weight loss alone will help him with his athleticism. His best bet is to bulk up and play more PF.

Maybe not, but atleast it shows he's trying to improve his game. We didn't get any sense of that last off season.

He was in basketball shape... ie: the shape of a basketball.

This is a problem. How many times have we heard a Clipper player say he was going to get in shape? I don't buy it. I hope he does get in shape..just long enough for another team to show interest so we can trade him

Hopefully it's not jabber. Phoenix Jared Dudley was a pretty good role player. Hopefully he's in good shape and gives us what we expected last summer.

No matter the weight, he's not good enough to start for a championship team. Neither is Barnes although I'd be sad to see him go.

Priority #1 for the summer has got to be finding a quality SF. 1A is finding a 3rd big.

I think Dudley will be motivated to work hard this summer on his game. I believe that once he lost his starting role, and even his bench role when Granger came on board, it gave him that motivation to work harder. We'll see what happens, I hope I'm right, lol.

But he was in shape it was "his shape" I think that's how some people quoted it. He clearly has work ethic issues if he can't even get his body in shape. These guys have access to great trainers, dietitians, food, etc no excuse for them to be out of shape

Jared Dudley was on first take picking the team to win the Championship. he was wearing a suit and gotta say, he looks really fit. He's also lost his chubby face. Good for him.

I saw that too. I said he looked very slim. No Chubby Face. Maybe He can return to a serviceable player like in Phoenix. He is one of those guys like San Antonio has. A guy who can step up and hit shots. These are only hopes. I still do not like the guy , but if he will remain on this team I can only hope that he helps us succeed and does not continue to bring us down.

To me he strikes me as a guy who has never had good eating habits, but most of his career until now made up for it be working really hard, but between his knee injury and just getting older, he just couldn't work hard enough to keep up with his eating habits anymore. I think Baron Davis had similar issues. You just can't get away with the same things you doing when you were 22, when you are pushing 30 and have lingering injuries. If I was him (or most any well paid NBA player), I'd hire a personal chef, to help manage his meals and nutrition, while keeping it tasting good.

Post all-star break his bigger problem rather than his fitness though was his shooting and general confidence, his rebounding and other numbers bounced back after his knee got better, but he seemed to no confidence in his shooting, at times seemed indecisive on defense or when had chances to make a move with the ball. Perhaps getting in better shape would help with confidence as well.

If even if does lose weight he still has a wide body even when he's fit, so he still might do well to add some muscle to play up front more, Paul Pierce has a similar build and the Nets were a lot better after they moved him to PF.

Wow, he looked really slender. I'm impressed. When Duds was on PHX he was a really good player and we could use a player like that.

Honestly if he can get back to 2012 Dudley he would be a better fit than Ariza.

Keep it up Duddy.
