I keep reading some of the most bigoted comments here. We are amazing, we have a great team as it is...are you people blind or incredibly stupid? We can't make the conference finals...how is that "great". The idea is NOT to have great little family-like team, but to win SOMETHING. Who gives a crap about us being much better than ever when we can't beat our main rivals, never mind challenge for a title? Have we made it to the finals, I would agree we are great, but obviously we can't, so we need to move! I keep reading those things about DJ developing, improving...the guy is a 10ppg center who defends well...how can you even compare that to LeBron James I'll never know! I mean, there are numerous such centers out there and guess how many of them have been the cornerstone of any championship teams?

See, I would trade DJ for Lebron if the opportunity came up. Lebron isn't leaving Miami though, so it's kind of a moot point.

It doesn't have to be a big move. We need a starting SF, which we most likely have in Danny Granger given a healthy summer. We need at least two legit back up bigs. We don't need to make a big move for LeBron. I would rather keep Blake and DJ who booth haven't shown ceilings yet. Young developing great talent>greatest player ever. What's those sayings again? "Greatness comes to those who wait, The youth is our future."

I agree with this 100%. All we need are two solid big men to come off the bench and one defensive minded wing who can occasionally knock down a shot or two. We need our own version of Tony Allen. That lockdown defender who can shut/slow down the opposing teams best scorer.

not sure exactly where the term "bigoted" applies here

This will be interesting none the less to see where he ends up.

I have always contended that the modern day athlete plays for the gold, not for loyalty. I said it when CP3's contract was up, that I knew he would sign because we have the most money to offer him. Now if Miami has the most , then he stays but I will be interested to see how loyal he is if someone offers him more.

As for being a Clip,I am not so sure he would fit that great on our team just by his game play. Between he and CP3, it would be a big fight to be guard, just like it would be of KoBrick were on your team. If he wanted to play center and let Chris do his job,,,that would peak my interest.

Lebron for Blake sounds fine to me - doubt it will happen though.

It seems that every team in the NBA thinks they have a shot at getting Lebron.

Lakers, Knicks, Cleveland, Clippers, and even the SIXERS: (can't post the article since I have <95 posts) but there's an article out there saying the Sixers could get Lebron. funny!

What if Lebron does not opt out this year and becomes a free agent next year? The Deandre Jordan and Jamal Crawford's contracts will be off the books and we can legitimately talk about CP3, Blake Griffin, and Lebron.

why not give dj and crawford and dudley to miami for lebran..

there was an article today about lebran liking la...

and he is friends with paul...and doc..

we would not give up griffin..

then we would have paul...jj...lebran...griffin...and a rookie center from the draft..

then doc can work his magic and get some more veterans to join...expecially with lebran..

i think it is a possibility..

there are no more championships for the heat ...for a while..

I don't think it would be that much of a conflict to have Lebron and Paul on the same squad. Lebron facilitates, true, but he is considered the best player in the league because he does everything: pass, score, defend...etc.

Having Paul play along side of Lebron would be fine especially since Paul is less of a scorer now anyways. He isn't trying to be the closer he once was, and to be quite honest Paul has been so passive that he looks more than willing to give up the monkier of being "the man." Hell, Paul relinquished the title this year when he stated that the Clippers would only go as far as Blake would take them.

The only dilemma with Lebron being on this team is that its probably not likely. I doubt we get him, and that's the only obstacle.

It comes down to having a team that fits best to complete at the highest level. How many teams have we seen this season alone that had combined superstars only to have the final champion crowned be the San Antonio Spurs, a team with only 2 superstars (Duncan, and Parker), a good 6th man (Ginobli), and a cast of role players (Leonard, Splitter, Green, Mills...etc). How did that team beat the juggernauts that had all stars like the Clippers, Rockets, Heat, and others? Sometimes the best team isn't the one with the best/biggest names.

The Grizzlies made a very controversial move with Gay, but it was one that led them to the western conference finals, and could have led them further this year as well if not for Randolphs ejection against the Thunder. The Grizzlies understand that sometimes the best player for a team may not be the most recognized name. That's a problem we have. I fear we are a west coast version of the Knicks. Now we could change that with some moves but it will require a lot of tweaking.

I agree. All of you nutty posters out there are bigger dreamers than me, and I'm a Pisces, so I outta know! Lol. Anyway, not only is LeBron unattainable by the new cba, HE IS NOT THE ANSWER! He and his team just got beat IN FIVE GAMES to a good, BUT NO SUPERSTAR team! Blake is not as good as LeBron, cp3 is slightly better than wade, but wade is smarter come playoff time, and you could agree that that dj and bosch are basically equal in quality, for their positions, but the real reason the spurs beat them, and badly at that, is because the spurs were THE MORE COMPLETE TEAM! AND team will beat ONE SUPERSTAR almost every time. Remember, the spurs were within 35 SECONDS in last year's game 6 of being repeat champions this year. We only need TWO, NOT ONE, almost all star quality players more on our list to go to the finals.I think melo is one of those two players, the other would have to be better than jj's position and be of ALL-STAR CALIBER quality to replace jj. And I personally don't want anyone older than 30, in order to hold that core together for the next 3-5 years, like the spurs have done AND ARE ALWAYS CONSIDERED A FINALS TEAM CONTENDER EACH AND EVERY YEAR, THAT'S ALL! End of story, imho.

Uh, the Spurs do have superstars. Duncan and Parker - heard of them? Plus Kawhi is starting to become a star (not a superstar though) in his own right. And let's be real, LeBron had absolutely zero help from his teammates or coach this series, and one man is not beating a team as good as the Spurs by himself. That still doesn't mean he can't be the answer for us. A CP3/LeBron/Blake trio features three willing passers so we could move the ball like the Spurs. Surround them with shooters and they would be deadly. Our defense also would improve just due to LeBron's presence.
