Should the Clippers Buy a Vowel, (lottery Pick)? A little wheel of fortune joke there. But all kidding aside, can the clippers now "buy" their way into the lottery, AND, IF so, what do....

Buying a late first round pick is not out of the question, but it's risky because if the player doesn't pan out, then you are stuck with his guaranteed contract for several years. That hurts the cap situation and roster flexibility, so I don't think it's going to happen, unless the Clippers do so to package as a trade, or if there is someone they really, really want to draft.

Unless it's CP3 for Kyrie and the number 1 pick to get Wiggins then it's too costly Smile

I would buy a 2nd round pick because the contracts are not fully guaranteed and are way cheaper.

Of course we should buy a late first round pick - draft an international player, stash them overseas, let them develop. Why the heck wouldn't we do that?

A crazy prediction. Looking at this years draft, there seems to be some over-hyped one-and-dones. Contrary to "conventional wisdom," I think there is one player who will be a major superstar: Zach LaVine. Maybe we can snag him with a late pick.

Man, I've been watching scouting reports for many players and I'm stuck on who we should draft. I think Clint Capela should be the choice. I feel like he is going to be a steal in the draft. He's a PF/C from Switzerland, and is a good interior defender and P/R defender, a good rebounder, and an athletic finisher. I think he can be our third best big on the team if we draft him.

If not Clint Capela, I think GR3 (Glenn Robinson III) should be the choice. He has a lot of potential and can be a steal, just like his former teammate Tim Hardaway JR. was. An athletic wing but still needs improvement.

Zach LaVine will be gone in the top 12 picks. Unless the Clippers trade up, they have no chance to draft him.

Probably true. But can you imagine Blake and Zach playing truly above the rim? What a show that would be. Plus LaVine can shoot 3's That would be MY "Dream Team."

Maybe we should buy the bucks 31st pick with money and/or a vet player of ours, then maybe we could get one of these players everyone wants in the second round, yeah?

I've been told that LAC will definitely try to buy a 2nd rounder. If the team(s) bite.

Any sources? I never understood how buying picks worked, but I would if we could have an extra pick, even if it was in the second round.
