I regularly talk to 5 NBA sports writers. 4 told me Ed Davis. 1 told me Big Baby. The 1was right. He was the one that told me we were pursuing Big Baby more than Ed Davis.

Solid re-signing, though I wonder what the terms were. Hopefully it was for the vet minimum.

Wow forget the SF spot looks like we're planning to destroy opposing teams with our bigs and guards

Hopefully Barnes, Dudley & Bullock can hold their own. The team is actually pretty deep at the position, though obviously no standout performer there yet. Barnes actually did a good job after the trade deadline.

Agreed. I think Barnes is definitely sufficient as long as he is playing like he did after the trade deadline and is not being used as trade bait all the time.

Yup and with Hawes in, Blake and DJ can actually take rest at the same time.

Awesome! Very Happy

The best thing is, Big Baby will be stronger, cause can play as PF!

He was great in the playoffs I remember the assists to DJ.

We have one remaining spot open for us to sign someone. I hope it's not Delonte.

My preference:

1.) Aminu

2.) Marion

3.) Johnson

4.) Mike Scott (more of a PF though)

5.) Jordan Hamilton

I don't know about the not signing the Delonte idea, he's not a bad insurance policy at the min. If CP3 goes down, the Clips would be asking an oft injured player to fill in and then who do you have as his backup? With all the concern about the wing defender, I have only seen one mention of the possibility of Blake defending the 3 in certain stretches. Doc did use him, albeit sparingly, in this capacity last season and it would be hard to argue that he isn't fast enough or athletic enough to do it. If you think of a Blake/Hawes/DJ rotation as Doc has stated its something they want, then its only logical BG is ready to take that leap forward. Plus we all know how Doc loves to grab those waiver wire deals in Feb.

Nothing to not like here. 4th big, minimum and had some really solid games for us last year. The issue for me was him being used as a center, where he got killed. Now with Hawes.. Davis can just play say 8-10 minutes a game at the PF spot mostly and do more damage. Best frontcourt in the NBA for sure (which we have never been able to say lol). Now can we please add a defensive wing stopper at the 3? Then the roster will be great.

I either read or heard about it I don't remember but w/e my point is that they said now that the Bulls have Gasol they have the best front court in the NBA. I don't see how they have a better front court than us though? Gibson isint better than Griffin at all Gasol and hawes I believe are pretty evenly matched and well Noah might be a little better then DJ and when it really comes down to it I would much rather have Flight 32 than Noah I'm a gator fan and I love Noah he's one of the best centers in the NBA but he doesn't come close to Blake and I wanted to hear what you guys thought about that and now that we have big baby where do we rank in best front courts?

I believe were are definitely top 3 and possibly the best front court I can't think of another team that has our talent and depth.

Our frontcourt is looking pretty stout, excellent sign for playoff basketball.

I like this signing a lot because I agree with some people on here he doesn't have the length or height to play center during the play offs the thunder were having lay up drills against us when big baby and blake were out there. Now with Hawes and big baby I'm exited to see how far we can make it in the play off.

I love the signing. Big Baby was great for us last season... Game 5 when he had to come in for DJ and he dived out of bounds to save that ball... and did. I....

Good signing, on the whole. Hustle guy for the vet's min, and he can actually play power forward this year instead of being an incredibly undersized center.

Great signing by both party of Clippers and Big Baby. I love that move. We are not competent in big men. I love what Docs are doing this offseason. I feel like we are deeper than last year based on the quality of players. I would like to upgrade a 3, but right now the field is dry and I have hope that Matt Barnes can play like he play last year after the all-star break.

Love this offseason.

Nothing wrong with this signing, the team needs a 4th big, and clearly he's accepting the role he'll get by coming back. He won't playing C anymore, so he becomes a lot more useful in that sense too.

True, Blakes wingspan is depressing. Which is why I'm such a huge fan of Aminu. Young, quick, athletic, and has a freakish wingspan of 7'3 3/4

Aminu would be amazing. I hope we are looking at him and I hope Aminu is looking at us as the best destination to flourish. He can play under Doc and be a starter on a championship contending team.

Let's see if money talks.

Good news. Another good value signing. One more big and we're basically set unless there's a trade.

Ugh. Reports said we chose Davis over Udoh though (defensive specialist big). I guess Udoh was about to be a Clipper...

Still rather have Big Baby.

If Udoh was willing to take minimum we should still bring him on as a Hollins type big. Can use the Jamison TPE to Bucks and bring in West.

Paul/Farmar/West

Redick/Crawford/Wilcox

Barnes/Bullock/Dudley

Griffin/Davis/Udoh

Jordan/Hawes/Udoh

I would love to get Udoh as a ryan hollins type replacement. i thought big baby was a solid pickup to play next to hawes, especially when the playoffs come and he probably won't get too many minutes at all..i really don't see us getting another wing player unless we find someone to take dudley...
