pass on bynum..... dudes a basket case....... I guess third string would be ok.... but I dunno....

I still say staying clear of bynum would be our best option

There's no hope for Bynum. Clippers should stay.clear away from him. I'd take Blatche and/or Oden.you can't ever have too many vet minimum big men.

I'd be happy with any of those centers to back up DJ, Bynum will be a whiny girl if he doesn't start though so that won't happen. Greg and Andray would both be good additions.

I would love Blatche, You could have him BG and Hawes on the court at the same time and go big on some nights.

Are you kidding me? Andray Blatche in a hurry. Has everyone forgotten how good he has been the past 2 years ever since the wizards got rid of him? WIth all the triple & double-doubles? No question over washed up Oden and Bynum...

This is fantastic news! All four must be willing to heavily consider the veterans minimum from the Clipps or there is no point in them showing up this week. Odds are strong Doc will sign the best or 2nd best of the bunch. I trust his judgement. Love this!

This is great news!!!!! All have good potential... If they work out great.. if they don't they would be at the end of the bench anyways.. Maybe Bynun would be happy back in LA with a good coach.

Emeka Okafor: HECK YES. Sign him for the vet's min sooner rather than later, especially if he's nearly back to where he was.

Andray Blatche: Wouldn't be mad about this, either. Would be a better stretch big, but have doubts about his defense.

Bynum: The acronym for New Orleans. In all caps. Bolded and underlined. With a bazillion exclamation points.

Oden: Sorry Oden, but I think you're done.

^That was misreported, no Blatche

A position where you already have 2 set starters and 2 set bench players is EXACTLY where you gamble. If we get Ryan Hollins and everyone is healthy he might not eclipse 200 minutes the whole season and won't play in the playoffs. Why not gamble, especially when the investment is not even painful. If we had only Blake and DJ and this was our third big, then we can be worrying.

I'm just kidding.... Bynum has seen the highest praise out of all of these people. I doubt we see what he use to be but getting close to it would be nice.. doubtful but nice.. oden is a never was.

I too trust Doc's judgment. Nice to add more bigs to the roster. Our staff seems convinced that THIS is the area we really need to improve.

I love the idea of Okafor so much that I'm just going to start posting highlights.

Those were both just two seasons ago, too. If he can get back to just 50% of that, I would be thrilled.

Blatche's agent said that he is not working out for the clips due to the fact that he is training with the Filipino national team right now.. also the guy from ESPN who reported this also came back and said that Emeka Okaefor is not working out for them either..that leaves Bynum and Oden..honestly I'll take either one of them..in a small sample size, Oden played pretty well..blocking shots..getting dunks and rebounds..and really as a 5th big for vet min..that's all we would need from him is a small sample size..best case scenario he starts playing really well and we move Spencer to the 4..Bynum sure he is a headcase but if he is back in LA..playing for a winning team, and as a 5th big..based on the way he played last season when he did play..that would be awesome..he still played really well and as a 5th big, you really have nothing to lose..

Oden is fine because he won't complain about being the 5th big man. Outside of that, he played 212 minutes last season. He averaged 8.8 fouls/36. He was already super foul prone before, but that was crazy. Oden is fine for 5-10 mpg here and there as a 5th big. His main advantage is that he doesn't seem like he'll cause trouble like a Bynum would.

Bynum is good practice foro DJ though, he's a guy DJ could never guard well.

Since okafor won't sign Oden is a great option.

If the only choices are Bynum and Oden, I would prefer Ryan Hollins. If for no other reason, continuity.

Bynum? Oden? Hollins?

Come on guys... we're not desperate. How about molding a young gun, Ekpe Udoh?

Wherever Bynum has been, his teams were thrilled to be rid of him. Case in point. Indiana last year was cruising along well, then added Bynum and the whole thing went down in flames. I can't say definitively it was his fault, but why take that chance.

I think the guy is just rolling along as far as possible, making every last dollar he can while never again actually playing in an NBA game.

It's actually a funny correlation though, Bynum has been tanking teams the past two seasons lol

Just a thought, but do you guys think we may be getting a 5th big in a scenario where we trade DJ? Just a crazy thought, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors.

maybe at the Feb. deadline. We won't be paying DJ the big bucks in the off season.

Hmmm!!! You may be correct. Maybe not trade but just making sure we have a Center locked in for the future. So that signing of Hawes may be really big and if they are thinking like that i would pick up Oden and sit on him. With Hawes on the roster it makes it easy to negotiate and not over pay for DJ and easier to sign and trade if we need to. I hope we can keep him but you have to be prepared.

Oden? The bench isn't even worthy. He's one sneeze away from breaking something again.

I'm 100 percent fine with either.. Oden or Bynum... I was reading that Oden would be the better pickup... But of coarse that was from bleacher report.. and we all know about them..

I'd rather have mediocre small forwards and have a whole lotta depth in the bugs department. If we can Griffin, Jordan, Hawes, Okafor, and Davis all in one rotation. Best Bigs In The League and....

Amath M'Baye looks really promising. A Lot more than Bullock.

We'll see though.
