Oh please, please please land James Posey. He should have been co-mvp of the Finals -dude is a cold blooded shooter and a stellar defender. Cool

I was exaggerating, but not much. I was so impressed by Posey's play. You cannot underestimate the value of a player like that. I think the Clips need to make one more move if possible if they are serious about actually contending for a championship. POSEY would be a final piece to a Clipper puzzle that has for too long has not had enough pieces.

^^I agree- he would be a huge addition to the team esp. if we can't resign Maggette. His defense, toughness, veteran savvy and three point shooting are great attributes.

Veteran Savvy!! Nicely put. Yeah, Maggette can go. I will not be distraught. With Thornton, Clipper fans will soon be saying Corey Who? This Thornton kid has the potential to be a superstar.
Thanks for the Welcome. Glad to be here. I've been a fan fan for almost twenty years and this year could be special.

I completely agree. I would rather have Posey than Maggette with this mix of players. Posey will play good defense and stretch out the opposing defense even more with his 3 point threat. I was never a big fan of Maggette's style of play. It seems as if his strategy is to bulldoze in and draw the foul on every play. He doesn't have a soft touch so it rarely turns into a 3 point play. And when the foul isnt called , it looks like a wild shot. I feel that its so obvious that he goes to this strategy that refs are reluctant to keep calling fouls, so it ultimately hurts us. His individual numbers are good, but think he hurts our overall team offense. Thornton is going to be awesome, man I cant wait for this next season!

Good thoought. Do you think there would be any opportunity to do a sign-and-trade to Boston? Corey for Posey. That way Corey could get more than the MLE $. But wouldn't work if we had to renounce him to sign EB/Baron.

^^Yeah that could work if we do that deal before Corey is renounced- win-win on both sides.

I agree ClipperSean- Posey would definitely be an upgrade defensively. I was impressed esp. with the way he guarded Kobe.

$ for Posey is well spent. I still don't think Corey will come off the bench. If we can't get him how about Jarvis Hayes as a FA?
