Its not gonna happen but an interesting read. I have a feeling there is much more going on than Elton just signing. I believe Elton will sign with us in a way that it will allow us to get another significant player.

| Possibly but you can't deny the similarities of the two situations. But Brand is one of the classiest guys in the league and I don't think he needs the extra $20 mil. Hopefully we know whats happening on the 9th. |

If Brand decides he'd rather have the bigger deal offered by GS, then we would simply renounce the Baron Davis deal and offer the max to Brand.
And if he decides he truly wants to end his relationship with the team, it will be hugely dissappointing, but it won' be like Carlos Boozer. There's a reason CLE was so outraged by the Boozer departure and it's because he basically robbed a blind man to get more money for himself. He was so scared of facing Clevland that he sat out their first meeting the following season (the fans took it out on the rest of the jazz). Brand is more classy than that. He seems to be the kind of player than can hold his head up high because he has nothing to hide. |

| Does anyone know if we could really trade maggs and still sign elton brand i dont understand. i hope elton wants one more quality player and is willing to sign for less so we could get him some bench help |
