I love reading the letters to the Times each Saturday morning. This arguabley the best week in franchise history, I fully expected to read letters praising the Clippers for finally making a bold winning move. How about a letter about how Donald Sterling has finally open his wallet and changed to whole attitude of the Clipper organization? I'm sure they received many, many positive letters regarding to whole Baron Davis, Elton Brand situation.

Instead, they chose to publish three letters - ALL NEGITIVE! One was from a bitter San Francisco fan, another from someone saying the Clippers should show some class and let Elton walk. The third was from a Clipper season ticket holder stating this was "a one step forward, two steps back" move. That was it!

How can the Times, in good conscience, not choose to publish one letter of praise? It just shows this paper has a bias against the Clips. I completly understand the negativity based upon the history of the team, but why not show some Clipper love? Did anyone else feel the same level of disrespect?

The best thing you can do is laugh it off. Those letters are obviously bitter LAL/GSW fans (and someone posing as a Clippers fan). Yes, it's an outrage that they wouldn't print a single positive letter. At this point, it's not a surprise. The most viewed stories on the Times website are LAL articles, menaing their website gets more hits for LAL articles than for actual news. This means they have to mollify their audience by pandering to their biases (like bashing the Clippers).

Personally, I won't bother writing a letter because they are not interested in honest and open discourse. They just want to please their LAL crowd. Thankfully, there are websites like CTB where fans know what they are talking about.

I hate the media in general. It's always about fear and negativity. Only when someone does something "heroic" is it published. Otherwise it's always people dieing and pessimistic stories. Just the world today.
I agree though. How could they not publish one positive letter. I'd understand if it were 50/50 good and bad letters but to print only negative bitter people....They must really dislike the Clippers (the news paper that is)

Whatever. As we all know when we start winning games consistently we'll have stories every week and people hoping on board.
    F***ing Bastard lol.

Yeah I saw that too- too bad we don't know who was the one who decided to publish those letters without any single one from a Clipper fan. Biased journalism indeed- but I'm used to it. Thankfully they still have Bill Plashke there who is honest enough and has good integrity with no fear to write what he wants to write.

Yeah Dano, I felt the same way this morning. But I'm used to being treated like a leper by now.

The Times is basically LAL news paper. It doesn't have merit and is totally biased. Knowing that I don't let it bother me. I have to deal with the same crap everyday at work. One Clipper fan working with about 20 LAL fans. They are all biased also. After a while you let it go in one ear out the other. Ya know "Kboe didn't rape that girl". Also " let me get out my car flag, we're in the playoffs". Times sucks and so do the fans they cater to!

You know on Saturday i read the same three letters. Funny when they went to the playoffs in 05 how many red white blue jerseys i saw in the stands during the playoffs. And the times the next year saying the clippers were the team to beat in the Pacific. Now because the lakers have 2 all stars all of a sudden we get pushed to the back of the bus. The clippers can only get fans and kudos by winning games. So thats what we should expect. Why put our letters in there when most of la only cares about the team that was two games away from winning an nba final. The best feeling for me this year is to go to my seat and be happy because i sit with real fans of the clippers. And now i can be happy that again there is a good chance there will be extra games for us this year. LETS GO CLIPPER NATION REAL FANS GET EXITED ABOUT A POTENTIALLY GREAT YEAR.(As long as we get eb back.)
