How about Brian Cook?

We have talked in the past about securing an outside shooter without giving up Maggette. A guy who is under the radar. Not yet a star. A guy you can get without giving up the franchise. I know that the Clippers and the Lakers do not trade with each other. But the Lakers lineup is so deep that Brian Cook rarely gets to play. His frustration is starting to show up. He is an outside shooter who is hitting 50% from the field this season and 48% for his career. He hits about 40% from the 3. He has lost his minutes because VladRad has come in and taken the minutes that he used to get as their 3 point specialist. So far VladRad hasn't been all that consistant. I think Brian is more consistant. Wouldn't be nice if we could get him to come in and be our 3 point specialist off the bench. I am not sure we have something the Lakers would want, but we do have draft picks and Z's expiring contract. If we used Maggette as bait we might be able to get Cook and another player languishing on the Lakers bench. But it is unclear that the Lakers could or would use Maggette. Maggette's minutes on the Lakers would probably not improve since he would have to come off the bench behind Lamar. Anybody else got any ideas on how we could be trade for Cook?

Brian Cook is a great shooter but he's kind of similar to Tim Thomas. Also I wouldn't give up Maggette for Cook + another Laker bench player. Maybe- and that's a big mayble- Magette for Cook + 2 future 1st rounders. But yeah personally I wouldn't like seeing Maggette playing for another Western conference team let alone the Lakers.

But is Gasol still available? How about Maggette + Kaman + Rebraca for Gasol?

It's a GOLDEN rule that you can not do a trade involving the LAKERS and CLIPPERS!!!

Wow.Pow a Clipper??!!!It would be wonderful but I don't think that the Grizz would accept Kaveman in the trade...Kaman has a huge contract and he's showing everybody that he didn't deserved it.Anyways, I doubt if Pow would be interested in playing for us...I guess I would have to speak with him.No, seriously I think that he wants to play for a more competitive team. We're better than the Blazers and the Celts but everybody knows his desire to play for the Bulls where he's going to have a player like BigBen who could do the dirty job...Here in Spain we hope he finally gets the trade
