who are the Clippers? A group of fifteen strangers? I am on vacation with family and I just found out what happened. I am so shocked that the Clippers mistreated Elton in that manner. Do they want to lose? Are they the most unorganized and unprofessional organization in the league? And did EB and Corey get a no trade clause? Who are the Clippers going for now?
Thanks. |

| They did not disrespect him, in negotiations you dont go to the table with the most you can offer first. when brand turned down thier offer, they came back and offered him more than phili did. It was his intentions long ago to leave and was orchestrated by that rat of an agent he has |

| Its funny brand got the initial offer he was expecting. But falk says they did not go with there highest offer first. Who does that if you were told you would be taking less to play. |

laclipperfan You need to stop reading the press story of the Brand press conference where they lied to cover their butts and instead read the comments made by Coach Dunleavy.
http://www.pe.com/sports/basketball/cli ... d96f8.html
We signed Baron Davis because EB asked us to. Then EB opts out and tells the world he intends to re-sign with the Clippers. Then he starts getting higher offers. Then we raise our offer two times where it ends up essentially equal to other offers. Then he bails anyway. Baron Davis knows what happened. He's very disappointed, but he is honorning his word. EB is not. Even commentators not associated with LA press corp have called what EB did "a Boozer". |

If we were willing to do everything we could to please Brand, I don't see why we wouldn't do the same for Davis seeing as he's our new franchise guy....at least for 5 years. |

| No I know I agree with you I just feel this year is different. I think everyone knows it's time for change and it starts with the signing of a free agent (Smith or Okafor) |

| The Clips front office can go after any RFO they want like smith and okafor but their respective teams can match. What i'm saying is the Clips can put up all kinds of freakin effort to make this team better but those teams can yank those players back right out of our hands. It sucks but thats the situation the best players that are left are in. |

I've been a clipper fan ever since I started watching basketball, and a few years later I meet Sam Cassell and Cuttino Mobley( buff as heck) in person and...me being stupid I forgot my jersey so I had them autograph my notebook instead...its something right? heck i got warren G's autograph. any who, our teams been through hell, heck sometimes you wonder if they are even trying. But before you know it Brand's making a decision to get Davis. Good going no.42!, you the man. All over the net I see people who are band wagoning to the clippers, I was mad yet glad, we have actual band wagoners, you may think I'm weird for liking that but hey. Then a few days later on NBA's website, we see brand smiling in a sixer jersey. This alone caused an uproar among forums and real world alike. But my faith in the clips never changed, sam and brand did us some good when they were here, now its time for the next generation. Just like the blazers we have young talent that is athletic like mad, and if our staff can pull off another signing or trade then we are the future contenders. But regardless of what happens, even if we go 1-81( we wont) my faith in my team won't change, it is said here that we've been plagued by the "gods of basketball"(something like that) but in my eyes we don good, thortan, gordan,
jordan( they all rhyme..this was destiny lol) I see a team that can't help but be notice by the entire league. I just can't wait to hear Ralph say, "the Lakers
are going to have to perform better getting 5th place in the pacific aint good,
Well L.A Clippers are in the first seed with a confortable 64-18...a man can dream lol |

| I remember going to the Clipper games at the sports arena and see Stanley Roberts get out of his Mercedez and the freaking car jumped like 6 inches cause his ass was so huge. In the early 90's we had some good teams. I started going to games a few years before we made the playoffs and lost to the Jazz twice. The players were cool back then. They would sign autographs as they walked into the arena. I had Manning, Harper, Doc, Vaught. All of em. They didn't act like they didn't have time for the fans. For me i was a teenager and didn't have a whole lotta money so an auto on a basketball card meant alot to me. Nowadays you don't see that attitude all that much anymore. Gary Grant was the one guy that would stop just about every time. Clippers definetly for LIFE!!!!!!! |

| Mrb.. a buddy who has been an LA sports fan (mainly lakers) was telling me bout those 80's clippers. He called them pot belly clippers, all in good fun. He said they were all out of shape and stuff.. and terrible team but very fun to watch. told me there was a goofy commercial that said "Come on out and have some fun, watching the clippers try to run". Something really funny like that... |
