| One report in the LA Times says that Maggette called the Clippers and asked them if they would match the Warrior offer. They turned him down. I am not so sure that was a good idea. My feeling is that Maggette is not getting as much respect out there as he should and his deal from the Warriors is close to what he is worth, not the MLE offers he was getting. The Clippers probably declined because of his past history with injuries, or they felt that with Thorton at SF, they needed to spend their money on a PF. |

| I think it's the last suggestion you stated. We need the money for a PF. But if Maggette really asked the Clippers to match, that pretty amazing to me at least. I thought he wanted to leave. He did say he'd lke to remain a clipper but I thought that was just to make him seem a bit nicer. Guess he really meant it lol. Go figure. |

"I really, really enjoyed the fans in Southern California," Maggette said. "I had a great opportunity being there and I will never forget the fans. I wish the Clippers would have at least gave me an opportunity and they didn't. But there's no bad blood and I wish them the best."
-Quote by Maggette
I swear Brand and Maggette just switched personalities. We must be living in a parallel universe. |

Maggette has always had a sense of humility. Look at this way:
Maggette is still very much appreciative of the Clippers despite them declining his almost "begging" to come back offer. Brand? Brand comes off as a humble person and does everything people want to see and hear but when push comes to shove, he is a conniving "cutthroat" business man with no loyalty. |

Seriously! What's going on!?! Brand betrays us, Maggette stays loyal. |

| Corey has always been a class act. He never pulled a Kobe in public a couple of yrs ago. We really don't need him and it's the right decision to let him go. We need the $$ now for a PF. But we all wish he could play PF but ... |

| HE IS AND HAS BEEN A CLASS ACT ALWAYS. He and Dunleavy didn't match very well, but he was as loyal and hardworking as the 2 faced Brand, we thought so highly of. IT SHOWS THAT HE IS TRULLY A GREAT CHARACTER WHEN YOU READ SOMETHING LIKE THIS, He of all people should have been pissy, but he turns around and doesn't turn his back on the weak ass, heavy hit LA team. I LOVE COREY AND WILL CHEER HIM ON HIS RETURN TO LA. |
