My favorite team in the NBA is the Los Angeles Lakers! My dad is a Lakers fan and I grew up watching Horry, Fisher, Fox, Shaq, Kobe, Rice, Grant, Harper, Jones, Van Exel, Campbell and a few other. However, ever since Shaq left the Lakers in 2002, I have vow not to watch basketball ever since, until now. After what Shaq talk **** about Kobe in his rap and the city of LA, it seem I lost my favorite NBA player permanently. I guess I am saying I know how you guys feel, losing someone you thought were true and would stay with the Clippers forever, and instead back stab you in the back.
Some guy on here said that Elton leaving was worst than his first breakup with his girlfriend. I feel for you, it could have been clipper years. I don't think they can beat the Lakers but Clippers in the Playoff once again is very exciting. Baron, Elton, Thorton (spell wrong), versus Gasol, Kobe, Bynum, and maybe Odom would be awesome if we ever meet in the conference final. The Clippers are probably the only team I wouldn't mind beating the Lakers, seeing that we are both from LA and share the same arena.
I watch pretty much every single Lakers game that is shown on local channel, and half as much game with the Clippers. I am some part a Clippers fan I would hope, but no where as much as you guys are. I don't sport a Clippers Jersey, only a 9 and 24 Bryant Jersey. It still bother me a lot that Brand is no longer a Clipper, and I really hope that Davis stay. Clipper need Josh Smith, and hopefully get someone with the like of Dwayne Wade for the 2010. I still think that BD is a lot better than EB, so think of it as a blessing Clippers fan. Who knows, maybe within the next few years, you gonna win a few title. Anyway your a lot better off than the Golden State Warriors.

| Thanks man, I respect your comments. I guess you're right, things could be worse. At least we didn't lose our entire franchise like Seattle. If the Baron Davis signing came after the Brand departure, it would've been easier to stomach because for the last week all we did was picture how amazing it would be to have the two play with each other. We got a taste of it, which is why it sucks to be told that this is no longer a possibility. Bring back QRich and DMiles, the only true Clippers that represented our team with more pride than anyone. |

You are right in the fact that we had a taste of success. That is what hurts more and makes it that much more difficult to deal with. Very nice and accurate assessment! |
