Kaman in getting his action in now, just groom him in with the team later.

i'm pretty sure theres a set date when camps can start....just like in high school....you cant start tryouts before a certain date to make it fair for everyone....

I think we really need an SF/PF hybrid right about now.

This probably belongs under the who-should-they-sign-next thread. And I see no reason to pick up Donyell unless you want to waive Mike Taylor to make room; even so, wouldn't Marshall be like Walter McCarty part two?

Believe stat wise we have a slightly better and younger player in B.Skinner. Skinner is more of PF first C second.

even though marshall does have some gas left in that tank going after him would be a waste of space. He is the same type of player as Tim Thomas and Steve Novak (SF or PF who can shoot the three well). Why go after Marshall when we already have 2 better versions of him? This move would just not make sense

since jason williams retired out of no where why dont we try to sign bonzi wells it would give us a little more depth. and if not bonzi i think we should pursue another backup big man

    baron/gordon/hart/taylor
    mobley/bonzi/gordon
    thorton/davis/novak
    camby/tt/skinner
    Kaman/davis/jordan

    what are your thoughts?

I preffer Thuggets. Karl is going to have an interesting time.

Clippers suggestions: Does Darrell Armstrong have anything left? D. Soudadmire? Where's Jared Jordan hiding?

damn I missed this thread was my favorite of the offseason. Looking back man what the hell were we smoking.lol not sure if it was this thread or another but I threw out Fred Jones during the offseason as a potential signing hoped it would be for better reasons though. Worst case we have to blow it all up again let's make a part 2 thread.Smile

side-Note: How many Clipp fans have we lost on the board since the season started buzz was running deep. Like after the first month and a half some people bolted.

It says that they think that Novak will get waived by the trade deadline. Do you think its going to happen??

IMO I don't think he will. He's a threat from downtown. Even 3 a game from him will help us out.

If we waive Novak it would be a nonsense.

But we are the Clippers, where everything is possible and where wrong decisions are too often taken...

Novak seems a good chemistry guy and he has helped more than what everybody expected about him

You read it wrong man, it's the waiver wire FOR THE FANTASY LEAGUE- not the NBA. This is for the fantasy game that they play, they're saying waive Novak from your fantasy teams because he's not going to be producing as much, with Marcus Camby back.

Every time I see him playing I think: "wow this is the attitude we need in every game". I'm talking about Anderson Varejao from the Cleveland Cavs. We need this kind of player. He's always pushing for the rebounds, playing his heart out...One guy I think we should look this summer.

On the other hand what about Tay Prince??He's a defensive minded player, with experience, and I think the Pistons are ready to part him. Would you like a Kaman for Prince trade?? Kaman is from Michigan too while Prince is from Compton...Opinions!!??

I love and hate that idea.

I Love: because we get T.Prince. Great defender from the perimeter. He can defende ANY position PG - C. He is the main defender on all the "Stars" of each team guarding the likes of LBJ, D-Wade, Kobe, etc.
He can defend the paint well and when on the block. His offense is well rounded. He defends, blocks, hustles. Long, Legthy, great guy in the lockeroom.

I Hate: because I like Kaman. He is nice in the paint. Great body. Similar to LAL and Pau Gasol. Not as agile and quick but just as lethal. Has a decent mid range. Can shoot from either hand left or right on the block. Great low post presense. Great defender and rebounder...

Its a hard decisions. IMO, if this was my team, i think i would do it. Kaman has been great but injured too much to even help this team out at all. T.Prince is great all around. No flaws in his game from my point of view.

I would pull this deal in a heartbeat Prince has 2 years left and 22 million.. great defender so that leaves gordon off the star player on the opponents team giving him more energy on the offensive side.. this would be a great trade.. plus kaman has more years on his contract

or we can get rid of dunleavy and become an uptempo team, which i highly doubt will happen

id rather not focus on uptempo but more on defense.... sorry even though im a clipper fan and we havent see much success in the franchise id rather them not be like gsw and more like a team that actually wants a championship... im sorry I meant CAN win a championship.
On certain nights though I think they can outscore their opponents just fine in the regular season.

Drew Gooden, Joe Smith & Stromile Swift. We could use any of those big men, although it seems Gooden will sign with SA and Smith with CLE. Which leaves Swift, I'll take him.

Yeah gooden and swift will be off the market pretty quick. i wouldnt mind signing swift, but as far as i know he is an athletic big man that never really developed into anything. if we were going to give minutes to a guy with hops that needs some time to develop, i think i would rather see deandre get some minutes.

Is Latrell Sprewell and Smush Parker still available?

What is Sean up to these days? God bless that kid!

Make a big move to get Ramon Sessions from Milwaukee so we can get rid of Baron and then we can draft a PG if we dont get the 1stpick in the draft.

Get Sessions and Chucky V from Milwaukee in a sign and trade for Kaman and like Ricky Davis.

Then we can feel free to get rid of Baron OR we'd have our PG of the future in Sessions who can clearly dominate playing 20-30 minutes a game. This would give us more depth at our SF/PF position with Chucky off the bench who is still young and talented.

    All answers lie in Milwaukee

Ramon Sessions is nice, but Villanueva strikes me as Tim Thomas part deux.
