You should make a difference between legit rumors and just some names being thrown around on a message board. I don't remember any serious rumor about either of those two ever being Clippers targets. ....

Correct. Clips have never been mentioned in connection with either of those guys. I really don't think Ivan fits what Doc is trying to put together. Since we already have an extremely big back up PF in Mullens, it's going to be a tweener like....

Since we already have an extremely big back up PF in Mullens, it's going to be a tweener like Antawn or Al. I'd still rather have Drew Gooden than any of the others but if they'd just forget about Davies they could still sign two more bigs. If so, a guy like Ivan....

I feel ya. I guess I can get excited about the NFL season heating up, but even that feels too far way. Did they play a baseball and an MLS game today on ESPN? Wishing for a signing just for the buzz alone. This is sports purgatory... ....

Al Harrington supposedly "leaning towards signing with the Wizards" according to SB Nation. It also says that a few other teams were interested in Harrington, including the Clippers and the Bulls. So this one would be someone choosing not to come to LA rather than the FO not pursuing to sign them. It's interesting I guess. Honestly I'm not disappointed. ....

I saw the same thing about Al Harrington on Hoopshype, and was pretty happy didn't really want him here. I think my list goes something like: Ivan Johnson Shavlick Randolph- I'm unsure about him, just heard he was good when on the floor. Lamar Odom- have to throw in a be in shape clause in his contract. Tyrus Thomas Louis Amundson Hamed Haddadi- could go up on this list but here for now. Henry Sims- only saw him play once but liked what I saw. ....

I'm still worried a little but Matt Barnes wasn't signed till like September last year right? Not like there won't be any free agents if they don't sign one right now. Plus didn't someone say Barnes was bulking up so he could play some rotational minutes at the 4 against some lineups? If Mullens doesn't pan out than we can still bring a guy on. Doesn't sound like Odom is going anywhere anytime soon. Oh and I think Steve Perrin did....

im curious to see how this team will do. the new additions: Reddick, Dudley, and Mullens are good offensive players, and our coach is big on defense. it will be interesting. still, this new squad while not perfect is an improvement over last years....

Shavlik didn't play too many minutes and might be thought of as a last minute option if we don't get one of the other options. At least that's what I am thinking, I think that Odom and possibly Jamison are under the same category. I'd really like to see Ivan and Haddadi with the Clips, if we signed those two our team would look pretty solid in my opinion. Paul/collision JJ/JCraw/Green Barnes/Dudley/Bullock Blake/Ivan/Mullens DJ/Hollins/Haddadi I think Hollins and Haddadi could be played according to....

Summers seemed to want to jack up long range shots way to often and Samuels seemed to have got worse. Davies may still be on the team but as of now unless he blows Doc mind in practice is a one year rental project. No one else really stood out for us hopefully if no free agents bite just pick up another DLeague guy who can defend with length. ....

No one from our summer league team really impressed as far as Bigs. Samuels had moments, but lost the fire quickly. No one really played locked down D, boxed out well or had an amazing low post game that stood out. I've read some good things about: Malcolm Thomas Arinze Onauku Rick Jackson but didn't get too much. ....

I wouldn't have a problem for a few of those guys being brought to training camp and see who stands out; or even better yet bring them to the Clippers training facility play a few pick up games and feel the chemistry out. That seemed to work out very well with Barnes, and maybe we can make it a thing were guys feel each other out and see if they play well together every offseason. It seems like....

How about Donte Greene if the Celtics waive him, since he has a non-guaranteed contract? Not the banger we're all hoping for but seems like the FO has been looking at stretch 4s like Jamison, Harrington, etc. Could be a nice 3rd string SF/PF pick up. ....

I still think our biggest mistake was signing Matt barness we could have had landry and then sign Artest who wanted stay in la as his brother said clippers where his first choice! And we would have a second unit of collison Crawford Artest landry and mullens if we went small bullock could get in the mix that to me would be a way better team to contend for a title ....

Not sure how it's a mistake. Barnes signed for 3 yrs $11M and left just enough room to pick up Collison with the remainder of the MLE. Landry signed for 4 yrs $26M. Him alone makes $1M more annually than both Barnes and Collison combined. I don't see how we would have had the money to sign him. Also, MWP signed for like the vet min with the Knicks. If we were really interested....
