Chris Paul

JJ Reddick

Carmelo Anthony

Blake Griffin

Deandre Jordan/maybe Tyson Chandler

Darren Collison

Crawford - maybe

Barnes

Odom

Brand

We need to get Ariza in a Clippers uniform somehow next season. Maybe Paul Pierce? Even Cleanthony Early if he falls to us in the draft.

Get some quality bench bigs with length a starting SF. We need to build consistency with the starters and we need to get younger on the bench.

Makes me sad considering we could have had Ariza TWO seasons ago. Stupid Sterling. Could have made a difference against the Griz too much better than Butler.

Melo would have to take a paycut to come here. That team would be a squad though

I wouldn't mind Josh McRoberts or Jordan Hill. McBob was actually solid in Charlotte, knows how to move without the basketball, a decent rebounder, and decent facilitator. Jordan Hill would be an energy guy who is a strong rebounder.

Ugh, I really dislike Melo. I think he's a chucker who would ruin our ball movement.

Un-realistically: LeBron

Realistically: Ryan Anderson (probably not realistic actually), Trevor Ariza, Carlos Boozer (if amnestied), Pau Gasol, Spencer Hawes, Josh McRoberts, Terrence Jones, Kyle Korver, Timofey Mozgov, Paul Pierce

We need to find the next Shane Battier. A giant wouldn't hurt either... like Enes Kanter size.

Vince Carter seemed very Shane Battier-like before they got knocked out. Wouldn't mind having that arrogant cocky a***** on my team.

if collison doesn't resign i wouldn't mind bringing back livingston or mo williams. i think farmar would be a good hype man but he can't really stay healthy. we also need some size at the 2, maybe vince carter or sefolosha?

He had a hell of a year. I wouldn't put money on him repeating it. Pierce or Marion would be other similar options, but, you know, from from 10 years ago.

One of those guys splitting minutes and mentoring a young guy with the same skillset seems to be the way to go. I'm not sure Reggie's up to the task.

Time for our scouts to do some work and identify next year's MIP at the 3/4 spot..

Clippers need to get a talented back up big man and several goons that we can send out if anyone dares to cheap shot Blake. Livingston played very well with the Nets. I would love for the Clippers to bring him back.

Get rid of Dudley, Davis, Granger, Turk, Green, Hollins.

Offer Eric Bledsoe back and make it an offer the Suns can't match.

I would be fine with that.

We could always sign bigs for cheap.

We still have a full mid level exception, mini mid level exception. Hopefully we are willing to spend the money. The full mid level exception could give us a good SF.

Chris Paul

JJ Redick

Carmelo Anthony

Blake Griffin

Deandre Jordan

Would be amazing as a starting 5. Wouldn't mind Lillard, Redick, Batum, Griffin, Jordan either but that would mean little defense at the guard positions.

I have a really good feeling that the Clippers will sign Melo or Ariza. The Cap space was increased just a little bit. Didn't Barnes play for Phil? Maybe Phil wants Barnes is Melo is leaving. We'd have to get rid of a lot of salary , but from what I am hearing... Davis, Collison, and Granger may very well OPT IN instead of Out and becoming Free Agents. Do we trade Collison to Knicks?

I mean I would have been fine with that Barnes-Shumpert deal. Shumpert could have guarded KD.

Paul

Redick

Anthony

Griffin

Jordan

JQuick, I know Anthony is a ball stopper , but hasn't he had to be especially this season. He had to point up point just for them to even have a chance to win. I think under Doc his shot selection and overall basketball game will still be much improved.

We saw Kevin could not even handle Granger. Imagine Carmelo. Just give it a thought. Melo could be huge for us

If Chris Paul wants to leave due to sterling drama i no longer care as long as we get something for him. I just think he's not really a winner when it counts. Game 5 was a franchise defining moment and he didn't redeem himself on game 6

Jordan Hill off the bench would be PERFECT. He's a energy guy who defends and grabs boards. That's what we need.

I do NOT want Melo here. This team is close. Bringing him here means we are overhauling our roster.

And we obviously need to upgrade the SF position. This league is filled with great wing players. We need someone who can defend them and provide some more scoring at this position. Ariza would be nice but he's not THAT much of an upgrade over Barnes.

How are the Thunder better without Westbrook when he was the MVP of the series and put up Oscar Robertson type numbers in a tougher era? Westbrook dominated us and his faults were far less than his gain. Paul said one game in a win why he didn't look for his as often because he was the PG. Well Westbrook showed him a leader does whatever it takes and if the ship goes down there won't be any doubt they fought.

If we are getting Melo then that means Blake would be our Center and Melo would be our PF.

We can't sign Melo without getting rid of Jordan, and we won't have enough money to buy a quality starting Center.

some of you people are unbelievable. DJ has potential to be top 5 centers in the league. if anyone has to go it'll be our small forwards or shooting guards.

With all the confidence talk its not hard to not see him as a consistent double-double guy going forward because he played 35mpg on average this season. I'm sure it helped having a coach not trying to trade you and believeing but at the end of the day confidence and great year= more minutes and some maturity of getting older.

Look at Anderson Varejao was looked at as a beast last year. He just so happened to be playing more minutes though as his career numbers show. One higher bonus for Jordan is that majority of other centers that played around his minutes have been far more injury prone.

If he could get past the second round, I'm pretty sure all "the haters" would have nothing to say. He had a great opportunity to do it this season, as well as the past 2 other seasons with us but fell short every time. we'll see in season 4....

Yeah, but his value is almost all in the regular season where he can get free for dunks and not be a victim of Hack-A-DJ.

We just need a defensive center with a serviceable postgame (DJ has no offensive game whatsoever).

Heat get by with no center, Thunder get by with no center, Indy is probably better without their center, Duncan is legit, but his time is coming.

We need length, length, length. Our problem with OKC is they play only three guys under 6'7, (one of them is Derek Fisher who barely plays) and they get every loose ball and contest so many shots. As much as I hate him, we need a seven footer like Adams who can protect the paint off the bench.

i honestly think DJ could be a scorer now if he wanted. but that is not what doc wanted of him. i've always said that we should be running plays through dj just as much as everyone else. i think he could easily get +15 points a game.

DJ & Ariza >>>>> Melo.

We'd probably still be a really good team with just Melo, Blake and CP, but we would be by far the best defensive team in the league if we kept DJ and added Ariza.

Defense wins Championships and maybe if we had a player that could've kept RW or KD in check we wouldn't have had to have a game 5 to meltdown. We could've swept them.

DJ doesn't have any offensive moves at all, just dunking, and he can't even do that right half the time (see: all the point-blank dunks he missed from trying to slam it too hard). He might be able to pad his way to 15 points a game against soft regular-season defenses, but running designed plays for him would be a waste of crucial possessions in the playoffs. Doc knows this which is precisely why he limits DJ's role on offense.

Our starting 5 needs to look like this, Paul-Redick-Ariza-Griffin-DJ. Put Barnes on bench and trade Dudley for a rim protector. Championship roster right there. Sign Pierce for cheap too. I like Collison and Crawford going forward as well.

That's not really saying something, as the center position is so weak nowadays. Even then, I would take Dwight, Marc Gasol, Cousins, Noah, Brook Lopez, and Vucevic over him.

What kind of ignorant comment is this? Why the hell would he regress and get worse....? That sounded so stupid. I think he actually get better and better. In terms of boxing out and adding some post game to his offensive game. Our starting 5 is great except Barnes. He needs to come off the bench. all we need is a young SF to come in defend really well and hit shots from everywhere. The three, off the dribble, and slash hard to the rim.

Did you miss the first round and we all talked about it would be impossible and not even fair to expect DJ to do insane number against OKC. DJ was not bad this series he had a bad game in 5 but that was more due to foul trouble. Acting like he tanked the series and Doc couldn't play him when DJ sat in the 4th it was due to rest and came back in when the other team made a run.

The free throw argument is weak because we won the first round with GSW hacking. Look at this series the two terrible free throw shooting games he had we still one and the other games he was 1-2 .500%. There was not a single game people can point to and say Jordan at the line was the sole reason we lost this post season and even in bad games at the line it never left us helpless.

DJ was the 9th scoring big this post season with the lowest amount of touches. He isn't looked at to run plays for him, he is supposed to create scoring plays for himself off the glass and being in position from teammates as he has been doing. Also the Mavs won a title with Chandler not post scoring and Perkins in Boston it can be done.

You don't make it in the West without size and length. I don't know how you can say OKC had no length or C with Perkins, Adams, Collison, and Ibaka.

Spurs-Duncan, Splitter, Diaw, Arye,and Baynes

Thunder-Ibaka, Perkins,Adams, Collison, Jones III, and even Thabeet

Pacers-West, Hibbert, Scola, Mahinmi, Copeland and tried Bynum

Heat-Bosh,Haslem,Birdman and hoped for Oden. Even with the Heat the question was can they handle size going forward and they play in the East.

Now look at those remaining teams big man depth and look at ours cry I'll wait go over it a couple of times. It was Griffin, Jordan and Davis and if DJ got in foul trouble we were very small.

Why isn't blake getting blamed for not getting past the 2nd round either? Last time i checked he hasn't made it past the 2nd round. Its funny how CP3 is the only one to blame when things go bad but when things are good its all about blakes development. Let Chris leave or get traded and see what happens to this team. Some of you guys are ridiculous. I never seen an impact player take so much heat in my life..I mean all he did was lead the league and the playoffs in asst and steals and is a 1st ballot HOF'er. Malone and stockton never won it and it took them years to get past the 2nd round. Everyone needs to relax...What this team needs more than anything else is defensive rebounding help and a wing who can play defense and spread the floor, or a wing who can match the durant's, PG's, and Lebrons score for score and won't back down. We get those and were good. Lets stop placing blame. Were better than we were a year ago even with the Sterling fiasco

Out of all the people you just mentioned I think I'd only take Marc Gasol and Cousins over DeAndre.

DJ is the best defensive Center in the league, he just ran into a brick wall in Kendrick Perkins who throughout his whole career has been a Center neutralizer.

The Thunder was just not a good matchup for DJ.

Quote:

We beat GSW by the slimmest of margins, with home court, and no Andrew Bogut. DJ was playing against guys half his size... He doesn't play well against real centers.

Quote:

You feel comfortable giving him touches? Sounds like a disaster to me.

He makes an awful lot of money for such a brief job description: Garbage man, get defensive rebounds, block weak side.

I still want a center, just not one that makes what? $11 million? There are a lot of Steven Adams in the world and they come cheap. They can also make free throws.

We can get decent centers from overseas on a dime.

I like DJ, he improved a lot from last year, but this is about as good as he's gonna get.

For next year, we don't need more talent, we need more calls. On a level playing field, we can contend with OKC, San Antonio, and Miami. Are we favorites? Probably not, but we can contend with them.

This league is about "respect" and "paying your dues". Every superstar is in the referees' ears all game long. Griffin has an awful relationship with the officials, they despise him. It's gotten better this year, but they still have no problem fouling him out with 6 minutes to go in the game.

We need a big name player that gets respect and calls, and unfortunately the only real trade chip we have is DJ.
