The BAE is only like $1.7mil. You think Hill would sign for that cheap?

That would be ideal if he did.

"The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy"... good movie, GREAT book!

I highly recommend it if you like British humor. The author is Douglas Adams if you're interested.

Are you serious? We're on the verge of FINALLY being rid of Donald, aren't you the slightest bit excited about how this is going to play out? Succeeding in this league is very political, and we were NEVER gonna win with him at the helm. By next year, the league will give us a chance to win

It'll be great to finally have a good respected owner. Getting all the Sterlings out will be huge for the Clippers. It's going to be a great future for the Clips once the Sterlings are no longer casting a black cloud over the organization. Imagine the possibilities with new owners! Oprah? Ellison? Geffen? How about Magic and his billionaire group? There will be others, I'm sure, that will want to own the Clippers.

Good times ahead, Clippers Nation!

How could we not afford Carmelo when Lakers, had Kobe, Nash, Dwight, Pau, and Artest.

The better question is, "Why do so many people here want a ball-stopper like Carmelo?"

I would much rather have Deng than Melo. He'd be way cheaper and could actually defend. It's a moot point though, because I don't think either of them will is willing to take big enough of a pay cut to play with the Clippers.

No one is even going to given a quick thought to taking a pay-cut to play for us if DTS is still the owner, at least that is how I look at it. Please NBA, get that man outta here!!

Please. My only wish...truly the only very single last wish ...is for the Clippers to bring back Eric Bledsoe back. Offer the Suns a contract they can't match or do a sign and trade for him and send a future 1st pick. We lost against a more athletic OKC bc we didn't have anyone who could stop Westbrook. If we wouldve had him instead of Redick playing SG, we wouldve done a better job. I swear if I were the Clippers and Doc Rivers, I'd bring Bledsoe back. He said it before that he wished he couldve kept Bledsoe.

PLEASE BRING BLEDSOE BACK! TURN HIM INTO A HYBRID 2 GUARD!!!

The way it works is if your an idiot and hypothetically trade Bledsoe for Dudley then you deserve to lose Bledsoe. He is gone forever.

I believe the Bulls trade for Kevin Love. If the Lakers or Warriors got him. It would be crazy in the West. The only reason Melo was a ball stopper is because he had to be. Maybe not as much in Denver , but the dude is a scorer. Especially in NY. He had to score for them to have a chance at winning. George Karl and Mike Woodson aren't Doc Rivers. I do worry about Melo's attitude. Therefore that is why I do not want him on the team unless he has an attitude adjustment. A guy like Deng or Ariza are ideal. I think the Wizards this offseason will either have the choice of Marcin Gortat or Trevor Ariza, and if that is the case, I think they go with Gortat and we sign Ariza

Dude that is not even close to being true. Why are you so negative about the Clippers. Its a rumor. Its not even true. So what if we got Carmelo or LeBron? Everyone else would still be getting better than us roll roll yet some people here want Chris Paul gone. You don't have to sign big name guys just to get better. Look at Spurs. Look at OKC. Warriors signed Iggy and look what it got them. Yet everyone was sating they were better than us and said the same thing you just did. They are getting better and we aren't. Lol. We are getting better than everyone in the league by getting rid of Donald Sterling lol. Calm Down DA. Your life must be hard. You get very negative at the sniff of a little rumor. Its all good man.

I hope K Love goes to GS. 3 players in their starting lineup that don't play defense and just stand behind the arch. Sounds like the easiest defensive assignments ever for us.

If he's smart he'll go to Chi town where his teammates can make up for his non existent defense.

Kevin Love would make them WORSE. He's a selfish black hole chucker on offense with a team that really should move the ball, and he instantly ruins them defensively.

He is going to get overpaid beyond our price range and while I like Bledsoe, he is becoming way overrated.

Bledsoe is gone, and there's nothing either of you two can do about it. Stop whining, and move on.

I love Bledsoe, and seemingly more than most here who didn't want to play him at SG and said he needed to be moved, but his price tag just shot up, and now he's restricted to Phoenix. We can't overpay him, so any reasonable offer we can give, they will match, and he would have to accept the offer first. Can't even see why he would accept what would be an MLE offer at best from the Clippers when he can get much more. So this is literally one that is a pipe dream, there is a 0% chance of it happening. Also we'd have to be moving one of our SG's in that scenario.

People don't want to hear it, especially fullcourt and I believe ClippersPostman who think there is some vendetta against Jamal, but we might need to move Jamal. Remember when Vinny played Jamal 13 minutes in game 6 last year and he was a terrible coach? Doc played Jamal 14 minutes in game 6 this year. I think relying so much on a guy who in critical games, the coaches say "if he isn't hot, I can't leave him on because I don't trust him to give me enough anywhere else" is an issue. Jamal is nice, and he fills a great niche role, but he just doesn't do enough outside of scoring. On the chance that we can get another wing who will consistently defend well and not just score and shoot, but also create for others consistently, we need to move Jamal. Not because it wouldn't be nice to have both, but because he becomes a valuable piece in filling another need.

Man, I'd love to have D Wade on this team next year. He's still so good. Injuries be damned, when it's playoff time he's still the best SG in the game.

Not that it's realistic, but my worry would be the combination of his constant injuries and Jasen Powell.

Don't tell me you think Jasen Powell is responsible for our injuries this year.

He didn't slam Chris to the ground to separate his shoulder. He didn't pay Cousins to body check JJ causing his bad back. He didn't jam Chris's thumb against the Warriors.

All our players were as healthy as possible in the Thunder series.

54 games in the regular season won't cut it. We're a team that will want to have HCA in the post-season.

I still think we're getting Melo somehow, can't underestimate the fact they are best friends, and both know how difficult it is to beat Lebron in the East and Durant in the West.

Not really sure how we become a better team by adding more offense and losing defense. We didn't always shoot well, but what we did do was produce efficient offense in the post-season (low turnovers, shooting well, FT's, whatever it took). Our problem was that our defense was not good enough, so I'm not sure how we are getting to another level as a team with this. I guess we're going Phoenix Suns route and just going to beat them with offense.

My first priority is having players that don't foul out after 19 minutes like Blake and DJ who are absolutely not superstars or stars for that matter in the eyes of the officials. I am so tired of favortism, if we lose we lose, but I can't watch us get jobbed by the zebras anymore. CP + Melo + Blake = star power (assuming Blake eventually gets respect)

Melo doesn't get a lot of calls either, is vastly overrated, and a chucker who would be a hindrance to ball movement.

I saw keep all our starters, let them learn the system hope Blake improves hope DJ improves, get some adequate backups and see what happens. Many of us are forgetting that we took the thunder to 6 games, the 2 we lost were close, the 5th game was something that happens once in a decade, and we forgot how to execute our system in the 2nd half of last game. Let the core keep with the system, cause as players said they JUST now learned the identity of their team, don't ruin that, we got a good thing going right now...

Pinch me if I'm dreaming, but I'd love to get Gordon Hayward on this team. Alas, I don't see the Jazz parting ways with him. He'd be such a great fit as starting SF here though

Much agreed. I say let players like Dudley and Hollins go , but you still have to address the problems we had. We lost all defensive capabilities when the bench touched the floor. We couldn't get steals and get out in transition. It turned into a shoot out with this years bench.

I say we keep Big Baby and pair him with a center --- my preference Brandon Wright out of Dallas. Dude is gold for us. Sogn a player like Ariza or Deng. No SUPERSTAR LIKE MELO! Unless Bron Bron comes here for extremely cheap roll Collison may walk or opt in. Of he walks I say get Mo Williams or Shaun Livingston

Paul Redick Ariza Griffin DJ

Livingston/Collison Crawford Barnes Baby Wright

Green. Bullock Reggie and our rookie.

We can't trade our pick until after we draft a player with that pick since we traded picks for Doc

My Dream Offseason___I know some people are against going after Carmelo but i think he is an legit target to go after. Yes know some people will bring up we have no cap room. Its very possible, look at how the warrior acquired Andre Iguodala, they trade bunch of there guaranteed contracts top the jazz on order to free up space. essentially if we traded everyone but Cp3, Bullock, Griffin and Jordan, clippers could free up 10 million in cap, additionally it is estimated that the cap will increase by 5 mil next year, which means its potential to free up 15 million in cap.

A core of Paul, Bullock, Carmelo, Griffin, Jordan would be great.

Of course i know people will say we have no bench, well we do have useful tools this year in the mid level exception, and bi- annual exception

  • additionally if players would like to return they could always resign for 120 % of the contract (speaking in regards to Collison, Granger or Davis)

Hypothetically speaking lets say Collison and Davis did resign for 120 % of there contacts this wouldn't impacted the clippers Mid- Level exception and bi annual exception. Usually veteran player chasing rings would be chasing for a chance to win a ring. Some veteran players i would pursue to fill in the bench:

  • Brandon Rush

-Rodney Stuckey

-Shawn Marion

-Emeka Okafor

Cp3/Collison

Bullock/?

Carmelo/?

Griffin/ Davis

Jordan/?

Woah! If I am trading that much they better tag Shumpert in that deal with Melo. We won 57 games this year, and were litteraly 11 seconds from being a game away from the WCF. No need to do much breaking apart. Get rid of Dudley and get a real starting SF and a back up C like Brandon Wright and I think we are set

Somebody may have mentioned this in another thread, but kinda weird that both Jamal Crawford and Willie Green tweeted yesterday that people should follow Delonte West. I wonder if Doc plans to bring him in.

Gordon Hayward i like a lot. I also like Delonte West a lot and on a team like ours we can handle his eccentricities that's part of the reason in getting a Coach like Doc, I think good teams need at least 1 or 2 of those type of bone headed players as long as you have the personnel to handle it. And both of them can attack the rim from the wing position which is the only thing i thought we were missing, it's hard to make the refs and other Teams defense really respect you if they know you just going to shoot a jump shot or floater. We need a wing that can attack please and young players.

If we miss out on big name small forwards, I wouldn't mind giving Wes Johnson a shot. Up to now I've been a huge Johnson hater because I've watched him for years and the guy just doesn't have the mind of a basketball player. But after what Doc pulled with DJ, I think anything is possible. Wes Johnson has got the physical attributes to be one of the best SFs today.
