Well after all the news today I think we still need a solid back up sf. Ryan gomes should be our #1 target. I don't want to take credit for this idea because it's not mine but I didn't see a thread for it so I thought it would be a good idea to really discuss Gomes. Here are his stats...

    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/ryan_gomes/index.html

The guy has the best numbers from any of the RFA still available in our price range. I think we make the offer ASAP for MLE and cross our fingers. In the mean time offer livi and q minimum contracts and see if we could land a veteran center for veteran minimum. If we get gomes plus center(insurance purposes for jordan or faz/davis) I think we should all start buying po tickets now. We might not really even need the veteran center, I just think it's kind of like a plan b/c type of thing. Gomes would be sweeeeetttt!!!!

I think we should go after Mo Evans. He would be good coming off the bench and he would cheap.

both are good, also I thought I'd bring this up, but with our new player (Camby)
is Andreis Bierdiens no longer a option, I say this because I've heard Davis was talking to him about a movement to the clipps?( awhile ago sorta)

ryan gomes would be a nice addition!...the kid plays with fire and has a bruising body....$3-4 mil a year for 2-3 years is worth it to me....

I like Ryan Gomes. Also he's young and can still improve. We should definitely have him on our short list.

Agreed! I like Gomes a lot! I find it hard to believe that the T-Wolves would let such a solid, promising young player walk, but if they would then by all means let it be to the Clippers!

Gomes is on the short list. If we had MLE $3-4 mill wouldn't be a problem but now all we'd have left is some chump change and the Min exemption. Unless we can get him for $2-2.5 maybe we should look cheaper

I must confess I've never seen this guy play...it seems everybody is OK with him so he can be a good player.

On the other hand how many millions of dollars can we still pay??? Everybody say something different...I'm lost

I saw him play a couple times and I was pretty impressed. His outside shot seemed smooth and he's pretty tough at getting rebounds. I just checked out the box scores of Minny vs. Clippers lasts season and he did really well (Maggette was big time too):
