Great news- I SERIOUSLY doubt the Warriors will match since they still need to keep Monta Ellis and Biedrins. Here are Azubuike's stats:

    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kelenna_a ... stats.html

I wonder if that means we don't have any more $ to re-sign Ross and Livingston....

I was distraught when the Warriors took him out of the D league and wondered why we didn't grab him. He is young and still has big upside. He is not as yet as good as he is going to be. Great move.

Draftexpress reports that Azubuike is "an athletic marvel" and possesses a 38-40 inch vertical leap- whoa:

Wow, we've got a promising run-and-gun offense with a stellar defense, we could really make some noise

I agree. But this is a great move. Hopefully that perimeter shot gets better. And he will be a force next season.

Here's a nice youtube video on Kelenna- check out how he just absolutely posterizes Kaman towards the end(!):

I think this guy is going to be as good as Corey Maggette if he gets some minutes. 45% from the field, 40% from the 3. He can play SF and SG. AND HE DROPPED 33 POINTS ON THE CLIPPERS LAST NOVEMBER. No wonder they grabbed him. I hope they locked him up for 5 years at the 3 Mil that was reported.

I think that Dunleavy was tired of all the BS, because no one was taking the Clippers seriously. When Brand turn his back on us he blew up and seems like he is on a rampage to prove everyone wrong. I LIKE!!!

Well first of all, hello all. I read this site daily for ever and finally signed up.

I dont know if I like this pick up. He averaged 8 pts a game in a Warrior offense that scored a ridiculous amount of points every game. He is in the negative in the +/- category for stats. We should have signed Q Ross with this money and thrown the Mid-level at Bonzi Wells (athletic scorer off the bench). Q Ross has greatly improved his jumpshot and is a stellar defender. $3 million a season is definetaly deserved by Q, as well as a huge raise from being paid under $1 mil. every year he has been here.

Hopefully Dunleavy knows something that I dont about this guy.

He is off the charts athletically and can really shoot the ball from the outside and driving to the bucket. Remember his numbers are in 20 minutes. Projected over 40 miutes he is at 17PPG and 8RPG. And he was playing with a lot of other ball hogs and scorers

^^Welcome KOY- 8 ppg in about 20 minutes is not too shabby. Plus he's still improving. I definitely would love to see the Clippers re-sign Q and Livingston somehow to round out the roster.

I think Azubuike is head and shoulders above Q. Ross. I just never understood Q. The guy was supposed to be our defensive stopper and he gets mutilated by everyone because he ways like 120 pounds.

I remember when we played the Celtics last year and in garbage time, Boston's third-string point guard, Gabe Pruitt, scored 8 points on Q in 4 minutes. 8 points by a third-string on a supposed "Defensive specialist"!?!?! That's unacceptable

I completely agree. Once you lose everything, you are free to do anything. Brand was our everything, and we loved him so much that we didn't care if he fit with our team or not we had to keep him. Now that we've lost him, we are free to mold the team anyway we want without any attachment on certain players. Love the move!

Touchey, I didn't realize I was looking at his Fantasy +/-. Its been a long day haha.

I dont think we need to stretch his stats over 40 mins though. Al Thornton isn't exactly going to be riding the pine this year. But im sure Mobley will strain his calf at some point so I suppose its possible *knock on wood*

GREAT SIGNING!! solid bench player...Baron might've had something to do with this, but in actuality, I remember an interview where Coach D was raving about this guy a couple years ago and presumably targeted him then and now, even before B.Diddy was considered....I love it so far...hope we still add more now, with our MLE.....this is gettin very exciting!!
