Post subject: I predict the Clips and Lakers will meet up in the playoffs

| I believe that the Clippers will either have the 6th or 7th seed, and the Lakers will most likely have the 2nd or 3rd seed in my opinion. If this is the case we might be seeing the Lakers and Clippers face each other in the first round of the playoffs. I remember during the 04-05 season it seemed like the Lakers had a lock on the Phoenix Suns, but they blew it and the Clippers and Lakers playoff series never happend. I think this is the year that the Clippers can finally prove to the world that they deserve to be in L.A. If this series happens, the Clippers will shock the world. |

I can see this happening more at the 1-8 or 2-7. i don't see the lakers dropping much lower or the clips going much higher(although i'd be happier if they did...)
the thing that gets me really interested in this series, besides the fact that a staples showdown would already be huge, is the fact that with baron davis, anything is possible. you remember how he took down the mavericks giant in the first round 2 years ago, he could take down the lakers giant this year. it's a long ways away, but it's nice to dream. |

That's a really good point. We might be that team with a chip on its shoulder that terrifies the higher seed. If this scenario went down and we pulled out of the series victorious, Lakers fans would have nothing on us, absolutely nothing. They could bring up championship banners and wouldn't matter if we beat them head to head like that. |

| sz123456 let me, for the sake of arguement flip it on you; what if it was the clips who had all the championships, and they hypothetically lost to their same-city rivals in the playoffs. would you trade a collection of championships in just for a chance to beat your staples-center sharers one time in the playoffs? even If the clips were to beat the lakers in the playoffs, im sure a clips fan would trade in that feeling of beating the lakers for the clips having a history of multiple championships. |

The lakers are our biggest rivals. Maybe not the same for the lakers but the lakers are the team that we would love to beat. Now to compare so you understand its like Boston and the Yankees. The Yankees have won or have been to the world series at least once every decade for a while but Boston sure will be happy to shut them down in the playoffs. And the Yankees have the better history. So yes I would love for the clips to eliminate the lakers, we would finally have beaten the lakers when it mattered most. |

Its funny because I know some that actually said that about Boston.( Until I had to remind them Boston has won more championships.) |
