So now Kaman is the longest tenured Clipper. Yes, Chris is now Mr. Clipper.

And of the ten guys under contract only Cat and TT have also been here for more than 1 year. Even if they sign Shaun, that's almost a complete turnover in a short time. Weird!

Now if we could get Elgin Baylor out of here we would be accomplishing something! lol

If you think Elgin is the problem you need to get your mind right.

Elgin always drafts good young prospects and Sterling/Dunleavy always piss them away.

Are you forgetting who angered Faulk by pushing him out of the way and talking to him directly?... Dunleavy

go ahead and look at the last decade... Elgin always brings good people to the Clippers. If we can remove Sterling and Dunleavy without getting rid of Elgin, I'll cry tears of joy

Elgin is solid tho, i don't know why you're not into him

Elgin sucks...you're an idiot if you think otherwise....isn't he our GM for the last 20 yrs?? ever since dunleavy came aboard, we started making some good moves....dunleavy only made two big mistakes:

    1. subbing in danny ewing to guard raja 2 yrs ago, when raja hit the 3 in his face to force double overtime...oh what could've been..they way we played that year, I feel like we coulda gave the spurs a run for their money...imagine, we could've been in the NBA Finals?!?!?!?

    2. drafting yaroslav korolev....and dunleavy was very high on this guy...promised him we'd draft him like weeks before the draft even....

I aggre with u that elgin Sucks one of the reason is were was he when elton was goin to leave and he dint show up only mike did. I think someone ask him that and he said he dint wanted to talk about it and the one who should really get fire is Andy rosover. He suks and does not care about winning mike does so why should he get fire.

Not sure if Dunleavy is reaping all the credit or not but he has been nothing short of amazing this offseason. He's always been a vocal guy and says what's on his mind. He may be suited better as a GM but as a coach, I think he's doing fine. Everyone in the LA area recognizes the hard work and effort he's but into the offseason. Yes he's made mistakes but who hasn't. Look at all the damn couches who were fired this season. And Sterling is the one fronting all the money. Yes he has a bad rep for being cheap but something must of clicked finally because he's not acting cheap now by any means. NO ONE has accomplished more this offseason than the Clips and all of LA recognizes Dunleavy and Sterling for that. NOT Baylor. Just listen to all the sports talk shows and online media....

Scratch this one from your list. We've discussed this many times on CTB. Raja's 3 was due to:
    a) The player covering the inbound pass was supposed to deny the sidelines pass. The defensive play was designed to prevent Bell from getting it. The sideline defender missed his assignment, not Ewing.
    b) Raja pushed off on Ewing to create more space; few defenders can do anything about this.

I'm not saying Elgin is perfect. In fact i agree that we need a major front office overhaul (like subtracting 20-30 years across the board) But out of the three Elgin/Dunleavy/Sterling, Elgin is the least of three evils. And if we want any sort of transition, all three can't be dumped all at once, and if i had to keep one, it would be Elgin.

Yeah Van Gundy isn't the best commentator i'll admit that but he did recognize the laker/celtic playoff game quite well aside from that its been downhill for him somewhat. I've even heard him make jokes about how bad he is compared to the new rockets head coach, why would you say that?! especially if you have intentions of becoming a coach again.

I don't think Elgin sucks- am I an idiot?

FYI Elgin Baylor won the NBA Executive of the Year award for 2006:

WELL YA, WE TOTALLY SUCKED THE YEAR BEFORE AND THEN GOT THE 6TH SEED IN THE PLAYOFFS THE FOLLOWING YEAR. IF THE PATTERN HOLDS TRUE, HE SHOULD WIN IT AGAIN THIS YEAR.

No I do think it is time for Elgin to hang it up. Give it to dunleavy. As for van gundy who has made past the first round the most this decade. I think every Gm makes dumb decisions so you cant blame dunleavy for YK. He was young and decent. I think we are not giving enough credit to dunleavy. Lets see how he coaches Bd this year then we can start a post about canning him if things dont pan out.

I think it anytime the CLIPPERS put together a winning season, the GM automatically is elected as GM of the year!!!
Its some kind of league default
