| Well I really doubt we wld trade Camby as we have had the press conference. Trading him after introducing him to LA would be a little strange to say the least. I would think the Clips want to keep Mobley so Gordon can come off the bench. So that leaves TT....maybe Knight.....not sure but I don't think we are involved with anything as of now. Think we'll wait till 2010 for some big signing when Mobley, TT, and Camby come off the books. |

im really hoping we keep camby because although he is a short term PF he is better then okafor on the defensive end. camby is also a unique player that can shoot long range and has some PG in him. i also think that having Camby will help us in the long run because once his contract expires in 2010 we'll have enough money to sign an elite player, maybe even a long term PF such as bosh or amare.....even though i really hope we get LeBron James.
i kinda doubt a sign and trade with the camby man because he was announced in the starting 5, i saw it in another thread. |

| Well it looks like the clips have their options open with both okafor and j. smith. If they wanted to trade camby for one of them. Though dunleavy spoke about signing Smith to an offer sheet but didn't talk about okafor. More realistically they would probably do a sign and trade w/ the hawkes. Though i wouldn't, I think j. Smith is to much of a gamble, useing him as a PF in the west probably wouldn't work out well. He'd get killed out here, I like some flashy players (kobe) and he would sell tickets but wouldn't win us a championship. I like camby keep him. round out the roster and lets start the season already. |

| if for some odd reason we get okafor for tt and knight and maybe a 1st round pick then we're gonna be the team where the opposing team scores in the 70s |

| ^definantly true. i wouldn't mind that at all. because we get a fill in for TT with okafor and Taylor could play more minutes and gordon can show if he can really play PG. |

| Camby is our 2 year solution! Our team will remain the way it is with some minor addition of role players and hopefully Bookie. Our core is good enough to get us an 8th seed (if healthy), the way our bench and depth plays out Gordon, TT, Brevin and hopefully Powell will determine how far we can go.Camby is our short term solution until we get Amare 2010. The suns are old and there window has closed. Amare would want to leave ! |

| I dont think they would trade camby for okafur. They are better off keeping camby. Now JS is one thing. But right now i do think camby is a decent piece. Will give us rebounds and a few points per game. Hopefully he and kaman get along in the paint well and kaman takes a llittle pressure off him and vice versa to commit stupid fouls on the inside. |

| I think all this trade talk is premature and unlikely. We got our team now, its been a crazy enough off season already, hasnt it? |

| Yeah, the clippers have proven to be mysterious, we might end up with Bosh and trade someone or a draft pick or whatever, We Just Don't Know!, we have genius minds at work here... |

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Everybody's forgetting that Camby is a real good player. He was healthy last yr. He's a good center and is playing PF. If Chris gets hurt we aren't up a creek. He and Chris can spell each other with Powell or TT as PF.
If Al with his long arms proves good at "D" you've got Camby, Chris (his D will be better since Camby's there). Al and Cat. You can't beat that. He's gone in 2 yrs. Lots of cap space 2010. We could go after Amare and there is no choice between him and Amare. |

| I want him here, he clears that defensive gap we've been wanting weeks back after the josh/iggy/okafor/randolph talk. |

| Great dialogue everybody. It's actually great to read a thread on Clippers Topbuzz. Thoughtful banter that goes back and forth and makes sense. I used to read Lakers TopBuzz a lot, but nowadays when I try to go through a thread, there is more nonsense than things that make sense. You guys are great. Clipper fans rule. |

Okafur was not offered anything because his price was 2 high. Everyone with money sixers, clippers, warriors were afraid atlanta would match any offer.( For josh smith.)And if they sign a restricted they can not trade him to the team that offered an offer sheet for 1 year. |

| Yeah I understand clipshow. But if a team thought they were worth it they would of committed 2 an offer sheet. Dont get me wrong I think they are good and young and could improve but uo to this point they havent proven anything. Josh is exciting Il give you that but I think in the West he would have a hard time. There own teams havent shown them respect either. just my opinion |

| ^^ Well frankie if there are only a couple teams with money you dont want to risk the wait. Even though the camby trade still might have been there there is a chance someone else took his contract. So the clippers would have to look elsewhere for a PF. Golden state does not want to wait for anything as you can see there going after players left and right. Only three restricted players got a contract offer. Only because there were good chances the other team would not match. Look at JR smith, JS, Sasha,Deng,Gordon,Okafur, and whoever. You dont want to risk not getting the player you want. Because if the clips wanted 2 im sure they can trade for either PF if they wanted 2.And i forgot iggy 2. But no one is touching them that restricted is dangerous. Sasha almost had a deal with houston until they signed brent barry for a lot cheaper. But they were hesitant on waiting to see if the lakers match |

| With the press conference just happening, I doubt that Camby would be moved. To me Dunleavy does seem like the coach to move a player he just raved about in a press conference. It wouldn't make sense to me, for the clippers to dump the bench for one guy. If they were to get rid of a few players for one guy they would then have to sign a bunch of players at the vets minimum to fill up the roster again. |

| short term is fine for us, since camby is only a 2yr committment, and Amare and Bosh become avaialable in 2010...looks like we'll have the cap space, so we'll be throwing some max deals out there....camby is perfect for us now, considering what Elton did...camby will give us 2 solid yrs, before he falls off the face of the planet... |

Assuming DTS will still be on this "I am willing to pay" kick in 2 years. |
