| That's not really crazy though is it? Nuggets have serious cap issues and JR's qualifying offer is less than 3 million |

Man I'm bummed...I was really looking forward to getting BUke. THis has been a roller coaster off season and I was feeling pretty stoked about the team with the addition of Buke, especially at the 3 million per year salary. I find it very difficult to think that for 3 milion the Clippers will be able to sign someone of his rising talent.
Oh well....we'll see what happens. As long as the CLippers DONT pick up MO Evans. THat BIT*H cost us BUke. If he wasn't so freaking greedy we'd be having Buke's press conference next week. I real;ly hope that Buke tears it up this season to show the front office that they should have tried to make him a little higher offer ( I know they were against the cap). F U Mo Evans. |

OK, I did make Laker fans look bad with that list so I have to put together a more well thought out one followed by my Clipper all time team. These are 12 team rosters if I were to put together a fantasy team. This means that I get these players in the best seasons for the respective teams. Since Mikan and Vern Mikkelsen played in Minneapolis, I didn't include them. Included McAdoo as a Laker and not Clipper because he was on the Braves.
LA Lakers:
PG - Magic Johnson, Michael Cooper
SG - Jerry West, Gail Goodrich, Eddie Jones (had to include him)
SF - Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, James Worthy
PF - Wilt Chamberlain, Bob McAdoo
C - Shaq, Kareem-Abdul Jabbar
Imagine going up against a starting lineup of: Magic, Jerry West, Kobe, Wilt, and Shaq. Damn. I included Eddie Jones because he carried my favorite Laker team (Nick Van Smack, Jones, Club Ced, Elden Campbell, and Vlade)
Here's my LA Clippers all time:
PG: Baron Davis, Mark Jackson, Sam Cassell
SG: Corey Maggette, Ron Harper
SF: Danny Manning, Lamar Odom
PF: Elton Brand, Charles Smith, Marques Johnson
C: Chris Kaman, Benoit Benjamin
I know Baron hasn't played a game for the Clippers yet, but I would say he's the greatest PG in LA Clipper history. No? Also, I didn't include World B. Free and Terry Cummings because they played for the San Diego Clippers. |

I've been reading the comments in here for a while now... most people seem to get it... but there's a few dopes that are feasting on crow right now...
mostly of the "The Warriors will NEVER sign Monta or Andris" variety...
First of all... the Warriors can go OVER the cap to sign their own players... THAT is why they signed other players first before concentrating on Ellis and Beidrins... They WILL sign both. (so much for the "They CAN'T sign both" Einstein theories floating around in here...)
Second... Who says the Warriors are done with the makeup of their team? They've got a lot of pieces to work with... They are, without a doubt, a deeper team than last year... (7 or 8 deep last year... they ran Baron and Stephen Jackson into the ground...) They're going to be a run and gun team, but they won't have to rely on the 3-pointers as much... we'll see how it goes... I figure they'll top out next year at this year's win total... probably a few less wins... but they'll be fun to watch and Nellie's a great coach.
Third... it's funny hearing people talk about how great Azubike was when you thought he was a Clipper. Then you call Mullin an idiot for matching. That's pretty hilarious. He's a piece for the Warriors to use. It frees up others for trade bait and helps the team be able to run and gun with a deeper bench...
Should be a great rivalry with the Clips, though... (two teams that know pain unlike other NBA franchises...) |

No Tiny Archibald? No Bill Walton?
Epic Fail, sir.
Okay, I see you only included LA players. Even so, where's Loy Vaught? Norm Nixon? |

Mullin is an idiot for signing him because you're basically paying 3 million a year for a guy who will be playing 3rd string at his position. Oh yeah!! He paid Ronny Turiaf more than 100 dollars a year, that makes him dumb. |

He was an idiot for going for mo evans. But we were happy because we could get azubike. They are not done but they are without money.Sign bieds. note they have to hope teams except trade offers for all those wings. Nellies system should not call for an offense to never match slow tempo which right now it does. The will never be able to slow down the game because they do not have enough big men. Mullin is an idiot and u should want him to leave more than we do truthfully. Because your deep but deep with what. |

| The crticism against Mullin is that he matched the Azubuike deal despite having a glut of SFs. Azubuike cannot be traded for three months, so he can't be a trade piece. GS can, however, make a deal for another swingman (Harrington, Bellinelli, Jackson) while keeping Azubuike for a bargain. Right now, it seems the move is based on being vindictive. If he can swing another deal, then the argument is neutralized. |

Dream of a cancer? Guys like this dont help a team. Yeah he can explode for 20 points in a quarter, but over the course of a season he doesnt help much. |

Here's the all-time Warriors team... I'll take my chances with these guys...
PG - Tim Hardaway, Baron Davis, Sleepy Floyd
SG - Gilbert Arenas, Mitch Richmond, Latrell Sprewell, Paul Arizin
C - Wilt Chamberlain, Nate Thurmond, Robert Parish
SF - Rick Barry, Chris Mullin
PF - Jamaal Wilkes (though not a typical PF), Antawn Jamison, Chris Webber |

I originally included Norm Nixon on the Clippers list, but then I replaced him with Sam Cassell because of the impact Cassell had two years ago in that playoff run. Nixon did make the all stars one season on the Clips I believe. I thought that Charles Smith and Marques Johnson had more impact in their respective years than Vaught, but I did consider him. Walton didn't play in LA did he?
As for my Lakers list, I included Michael Cooper over Norm Nixon because there was already plenty of offense on the team. I suppose Coopers defense would give him some playing time on that crazy team. I also pulled Gasol in favor of Eddie Jones because of the many years Jones put in.
Oh yeah, Azubuike and the Warriors suck. Just had to include that to give me a reason to comment on this thread rather than start another one. |

| You know with the GSW's taking Buke back it seems they may lose Biedrins to a Euro team. He's getting offers of 10 mil a season. More then what GSW can offer since they put all of their money into SG/SF. Maybe know Mullin is regretting getting that 10th SG/SF. They are going to be missing him should he leave. If Biedrins leavves they could play Harrington at center!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!! |
