Word is, it's just a salary dump for the lakers. Bynum would be waived the next day.

I am new at this and I am still learning so you can get traded and waived all in the same day?

I think any move for Bynum is a good deal for us. If he gets traded it will almost exclusively be for a salary dump. Both the Bulls (Deng) and and the Lakers (Gasol) are looking to shed over 20 mill in salary and tax so they can do stuff in next years fun free agency year. We just have to sit back and wait for Bynum to be available and let Doc do the classic "I can make you great" speech.

As for JCraw and Dudley for Wilson Chandler and Arthur; I feel like that's a little too much reconstruction for a team with championship aspirations. I remember I wanted us to get in on any Faried movement, but knew we'd have to lose too much for a player with awkward size that may not even fit in our rotation. And now I want to suggest the expendable Jason Maxiell from the Magic to find out he's deceivingly only 6'7"...

would you guys take tayshaun prince over dudley?

Have you seen Tayshaun's production though?

Then he also makes $7.2M, lol. That's a lot for maybe decent man to man defense and then he only takes 0.6 3PA and shoots 23.5% 3PT. Scores 8.4 pts/36 which even Dudley is beating, has forgotten how to shoot FT's.

He's pretty bad these days. Don't know why Memphis doesn't start someone else at SF except that maybe they feel his defense makes up for his ineptitude in about everything else these days (it doesn't)

I think we are going to have to offload a wing by the deadline. I don't mean just waiving Jackson.

I would rather AK from the nets. 5 Million dollars less and an expiring. Wouldn't have to give up a guy like Dudley or Crawford IMO. Gives us additional flexibility for other moves if need be.

I think everybody would want to trade for AK47. God that would be so awesome if we did. But I'm pretty sure he's the only contract the Nets are actually happy having signed on right now. He's getting paid like 6 million less than market price. Plus we are more in need for a more traditional big for our rotation.

Someone like maybe Brendan Haywood? Gets paid roughly 2mill. Is 7 feet tall. Is likely not part of the Bobcats' plans. Plus he was ruled out for about 12 weeks (84 days) about 83 days ago. As much as I hate how many former Bobcats we have on our team, if we get him for next to nothing?

^^

Just saying that if we go the Prince route, then why not the AK route? Prince = offloading at least one decent contract (JJ/Crawford/Dudley/Barnes).

The only Memphis wing worth trading for is Q. Pondexter.

With all the Crazy trade Ideas out there, Trading for T. Prince is the Craziest, he's basically useless for them for the most part.

Hedo Turkoglu is attempting a comeback to prove all the Hedo-haters wrong Hedo Turkoglu wants to play basketball again. The journeyman forward, currently with the Orlando Magic, hasn't played a single NBA minute since the first week of February in 2013, but he's apparently champing at the bit to return to live action in order to stick it to a Magic team that has benched him while they work on their slow rebuilding plan. The Magic have a chance to deal Hedo to a lesser team in order to game an asset in return for Turkoglu's expiring contract this week, and like....

Just read a article on Bleacher Report "Andrew Bynum could help clippers especially with Blake Griffin shooting so well". Let me know what you think about the article. Can his knees hold up?

Billy King needs to do the right thing and waive KG. It's not fair that one of the greatest players in NBA history has to rot on a lottery team with a rookie coach.

Same old story with Jamal Crawford. Like last year he got off to a blazing start and we were all giving him his props and saying how he is irreplaceable. Similarly, his efficiency from the floor has taken a big dip as the season progresses. I don't like this trend, and his track record in the playoffs is not great either.

I was telling people Collison is capable of creating, and he is proving this as of late. A Collison-Bullock-Barnes is not too shabby. Crawford is a black hole to the 2nd unit, I see Bullock open for a nice shot too many times and Crawford goes iso. Collison also plays his game more effectively without Crawford's ball hogging and ball domination. If the right trade comes up, I would trade Crawford. I'm not buying the excuse of his efficiency going down because he is a starter now. His efficiency went down off the bench last year as well.

I think Crawford can net us something decent moving forward. He is very tradeble with a non-guaranteed contract after this year.

If in fact the Bucs waive Gary Neal, should we be taking a look?

Always liked his play at SA, although it could represent a logjam at the G/SG position.

Any thoughts from Clipper Nation?

Should have read, If the Bucs are very interested in a trade for Gary Neal should we take a look? Don't think they can waive him, sorry.

No his defense is horrendous. He makes Crawford and Willie look like great defenders. He can shoot 3s but sucks at every other aspect of basketball.

Unless of course the Bucks are willing to trade him for Mullens. Twisted Evil

Guys what about Reggie Bullock for Perry Jones? We get a young SF and we ship out Bullock, who likely won't see playing time because of the log jam at SG position. This way we can rest Dudley and platoon that position with Jones and Barnes. Financially it works, and considering Dudley's enigmatic performances it would be good insurance policy. ESPN's PER rates Barnes slightly ahead of Dudleys PER, so statistically we wouldn't have a drop off from Dudley to Barnes, and get this Jones has a PER of 13.10. The dude is also 6'11" so that provides a huge body and if he ever becomes a decent defender this could be huge for us.

Ryan Gomes inbound remix. No more guards though Clippers should look to use the third string spots to build prospects like SAS and OKC.

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to trade Gary Neal. His salary is 3.2 million. So the only why that we can afford him is by making some trades. I do not think anyone is willing to take Ryan Hollins/Byron Mullens.

Keep Bullock, the guy is dirt cheap and we have him for at least 3 more years. Once he fully gets acclimated he could be a Jimmy Butler type for us.

Gary Neal is like Randy Foye with worse defense and inferior ball handling and passing. Not really sure what role he would play on this team as he makes $3.25M.

I think he could be better than Jimmy Butler.

He's the future Starting 2/3 in about 2 or 3 years, from what I see. And doc can groom him just like he did with Tony Alan. I wouldn't trade him for a 1st round pick not in the top 15.

I don't know if Reggie is that good, but he could be and could not be, but he should at least be decent. Jimmy Butler is looking like a pretty solid future starting player in the league who can defend at a high level, get to the line, but is still a work in progress in terms of outside shooting. That's a pretty solid player, especially if his shooting continues to progress.

About a 13-15 pts scorer in starters minutes, with a better and more consistent outside shot, maybe 14-16 pts with all his other attributes, not bad for the 30th pick for sure, and not an easy level for Reggie to reach, let alone surpass.

Reggie Bullock is more of a Kyle Singler or Danny Green type player than a Jimmy Butler.

I'd be very happy if Bullock pans out like those first two guys.

is there any reason for the clippers not to pursue andrew bynum? He would fill a huge hole for the clippers. If doc rivers could get 20 quality minutes from him every game, it would make the clippers a pretty scary team IMO.

We'll see because Jimmy Butler's rookie season was pretty non-existent due to a lack of playing time and probably trust. Like Butler, Bullock didn't get as much burn as we would all like. Bullock looked pretty good guarding PG and KD this year, small sample but he's showing potential. We all know he is a smooth shooter.

Guys, Mock Drafts lately said that there are like 90% chances that all picks from 20-30 are gonna be PGS and SGS. The draft is packed, but there are not many big men there (and the ones are top 12 or something like that).

Talent wise, we are probably getting a guard. And we have a very nice backcourt already.

Would you trade the 1st rounder and Mullens for a good big with a cheap contract? Koufos, Mozgov, Biyombo, like that. Someone who could play starter minutes if needed.

Heediot

^^

I think Crawford and his non-fully guaranteed contract gets shipped for something in the offseason, possibly a backup big.

I'm not suggesting we do this, but I wonder if DJ could land us a Top 5 pick.

It would be extremely risky, but let's say we draft Joel Embiid. He'd be probably $8 mil cheaper than DJ and with a couple of other roster changes we could probably sign Melo.

Just throwing it out there:

PG: CP3

SG: Redick

SF: Melo

PF: Griffin

C: Embiid

i never thought of that. its risky but could work

imo we should just forget about melo i'd rather go after ariza or deng
