Yep, that's how most trades turn out. But it was fun, LOL.

What asset do people here think (not counting blake, cp3, redick or dj) stands the best chance at getting us something good back in a trade?

^ I'd do that for sure except the Brand part because of obvious reasons. Maybe change Brand with Ayon or one of the Morris twins from PHX or even Channing Frye.

Barnes, Jamal, Reggie or a combo of.

I'd say Collison for sure because all of the downed PG's in the league and his contract is dirt cheap. Too bad we really really need him.

At least one of Collison or Crawford has to be on the team unless they are replaced by a similar player. Collison has the superior contract value and similarly can't be traded for as many players because of how little he makes.

Yea,I know some people still dislike Brand, I'll think up of something else without him, but he is a perfect fit.

Really wish the clippers had the pieces to trade for Hawes and Turner since Philly wants to package them in a deal.

Collison would get us great value in return, but as you said he has been our savior now that Paul has gone down. My guess is that Crawford would be next in line. His fancy footwork and amazing shooting would net us a heavy return. A backup big and draft pick would suffice for me.

If it's a player and a draft pick, them it's a second rounder.

I don't think Philly is trading with anyone that isn't giving first round picks. I'd love Evan Turner I think he would make us a legit big 3, but think he will be too expensive this offseason. Hawes you can just repeat the last sentence and put his name in place of Turners. Honestly go ahead do the same with Thad Young.

I like Crawford, but don't think we could get that much in return unless we are shipping him to a contender. Anyone think we could get Mahini for Crawford or maybe Collison but that could come back and bite us if we trade him within the conference.

LA Clippers

O: Matt Barnes and Willie Green

I: Timofey Mozgov

Charlotte Bobcats:

O: Bismack Biyombo and Ben Gordon + Pistons Draft pick (top 8 protected)

I: Eric Gordon + Matt Barnes

New Orleans Pelicans:

O: Eric Gordon

I: Ben Gordon + Willie Green + Pistons Draft Pick (top 8 protected)

Denver Nuggets:

O: Timofey Mozgov

I: Bismack Biyombo

Clippers: Clippers get a legitimate backup big man

Bobcats: Bobcats get a player that can act as a primary / co-primary scoring option which is really needed for that team because Kemba Walker should not be in that role (he is out for a couple of weeks too). They have played well defensively, and now offensively they get a 1-2 combo of E.Gordon and Al Jefferson. Henderson can become their 6th man, be moved to SF or be moved in a separate deal (to get another PF or C depending where you want to play Jefferson), he makes $6M.

Pelicans: They supposedly want to trade both Gordon and Evans. They get a draft pick and move Gordon without incurring any future salary because B.Gordon expires. They can pressure Charlotte for the pick they have from Portland also.

Denver: They get a younger prospect in Biyombo who is quite good defensively and should help their 17th ranked defense. They also save a little money. Denver is the hardest one to gauge here because they aren't really getting the better player, so maybe they would ask for that Portland pick. Charlotte is getting the best player out of all the players, so they can't complain too much about what will be a pick between 26-30.

Clippers big man rotation:

Griffin / Mozgov

Jordan / Mozgov

Charlotte:

Walker

E.Gordon / Henderson

Kidd-Gilchrist / Barnes

McRoberts

Jefferson

Mosgov would be REAL nice though. He is so great that I would even throw in one of Jamison/Mullens/Hollins. Very Happy

Paul George vs Rudy Gay (34 mins):

31 pts, 10/18 FG, 4/7 3PT

Paul George vs Carmelo (33 mins):

25 pts, 8/16 FG, 4/8 3PT

Paul George vs Lebron James (42 mins):

25 pts, 8/16 FG, 2/6 3PT

Paul George vs Jeff Green (28 mins):

24 pts, 9/13 FG, 3/6 3PT

Paul George vs Durant (36.5 mins):

32 pts, 9/17 FG, 4/6 3PT

Paul George vs Kawhi (36.5 mins):

28 pts, 9/14 FG, 4/4 3PT

Paul George vs Batum (38 mins):

43 pts, 16/30 FG, 7/15 3PT

Paul George vs LAC (36 mins):

36 pts, 12/17 FG, 5/6 3PT

He's made 4+ 3PT against all of those teams / players except for the Heat and Boston where he still made 3/6 in the latter. I don't know, I'm not sure it was our SF's, I think it was the fact that Paul George was playing a game after getting some rest and that he's a pretty good player. All those are above his season average PPG, though Miami isn't above his scoring rate since it took him a lot of minutes. Also, in our previous game, we made him take 23 FGA to score 27 pts, that is good defense on a volume scorer.

Now, admittedly, that was his highest FG% of all the games, and best TS% of the season, but there were more reasons than simply the play of the SF's that allowed that.

im not saying it was barnes or dudley's fault they lost. george was on fire that night they both did a good job guarding him. I'm just saying we need a better small forward to actually compete for a ring.

Heck no. Considering how good he's been for us this year, I would rather do a trade like this if we have to trade anything at all.

Still would rather wait on Okafor being bought out.

Anybody know if Aminu is on the block? He's easily the best rebounding SF in the league and his Defense would be an upgrade over Barnes or Dudley.

Problem is he can't shoot and we need floor spacing in the starting lineup. He'd be great coming off the bench playing the 3 & 4 spot.

Barnes, Green & 2nd round pick for Aminu & Rivers

Recent news actually said New Orleans is looking for a big man, and since Aminu can pose as a 4 in lineups with Davis as a 5, they probably don't want to move him. Jason Smith and Ryan Anderson are down for extended periods, so they aren't in the position to be trading bigs or anyone that can pose as a big.

Players grow and get better after their rookie year, and a teams needs tend to change year after year.

He's a lot better than his rookie year and he fits what we need. A defending/rebounding forward off the bench.

Aminu wasn't bad, I mean he was a rookie, and there were different expectations. I personally wanted him all off-season just for fit. I think a big long, defensive and decently athletic 3/4 would fit a need for this team. Though ideally it would be good for them to be able to at least hit a corner three if they can't hit the longer one.

So I mean guys like: Aminu, Earl Clark, Kirilenko, Marvin Williams, etc obviously understanding that not all those guys are / were available or in price range, but that's the mold of player, not the superstar unattainable ones.

Don't see it happening but this trade would be perfect for us in my opinion

Clips receive:

-Wilson Chandler

-Timofey Mozgov

Nugets receive:

-Crawford

-Dudley/Barnes

-Hollins

Clippers get a much better SF who is athletic and a good defender and the back up big we've been looking for (could play behind Jordan or Griffin). Nuggets get the improved 3 point shooting without losing too much depth when healthy (SF Gallinari, Randolph, Miller, Hamilton and Dudley/Barnes if traded) (C/PF Hickson, McGee, Arthur, Faried and Hollins if traded)

What do you guys think??

I think it's too much to give up, No Doubt Wilson Chandler is a really good player, at times he can be great, but He's still a up and down player who doesn't bring it every night, he's still injury prone and you would be giving up Jamal Crawford THE LEADING SCORER IN THE NBA in the 4th quarter, and who's one of the Most Clutch players in the NBA and whom the Owner Loves. So in order to make this work we would need that 1st round draft pick they're getting from the knicks so we can draft Doug Mcdermott lol.

If the Clips make any trade with the Nuggets then I'd rather have Gallinari, he's far better talent wise than anybody else on the Nuggets.

Clippers might be giving too much there, and Nuggets actually are more in need of defense than offense, so this doesn't improve their team.

I would assume everybody on Milwuakee besides Giannis & Henson are available.

Let's go after Udoh, Zaza or maybe even Sanders.

He did, but he's causing problems over in Milwuakee and is under performing. I don't think his contract kicks in til next year so he'd be a 1 year rental and a really good trading chip next season.

Sanders has a poison pill, so working out a trade for him is difficult.

Zaza and Udoh I don't think are worth any of Dudley, Barnes or Crawford.

Actually on second thought, Denver might be giving up too much there, lol. That trade actually seems to benefit the Clippers a LOT more than Denver.

They have Nate Robinson off the bench who scores 10.4 pts in 19.9 MPG. Basically what Jamal does except that he plays less minutes, so Jamal does nothing for them. They also have Fournier off the bench as another guard who can shoot and score.

Chandler is their best wing defender and a versatile player. Gallo isn't coming back for the season, and they don't really have any other SF. Chandler is better than both Barnes and Dudley individually.

Mozgov has really blossomed under Shaw and with more minutes. 9/6 in only 20 minutes! Not to mention 1.2 blocks in only 20 minutes. Denver would actually be getting shafted on second thought. The Clippers would basically plug all holes, solid backup big man and athletic wing that can be used as a go to defender (and can also hit three's) and even though losing Jamal would not be great, Collison also plays the role of scoring guard.

Yea, Denver definitely would not do that, lol

For a back up big you do not want Sanders, especially for that upcoming 4 year 44 mil contract he just signed. Ugh.....unless you're thinking ahead and will try and work a S&T next year for...*cough-cough* LBJ. DJ + Dudley + Reggie + future #1 (or this years after we make the pick). Very Happy

LMAO-at myself

IDK why but every time I hear a trade involving Deandre Jordan, NO MATTER WHO the other player is, I immediately say HELL NAW, I've just had a man crush on his Size+Athletic ability from day one, I've never really seen that type of Athletic ability in anybody that size since David Robinson.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... eg-monroe/

If the Pistons ultimately decide to trade Monroe, I think the Clippers could get in on this. Even if they don't get him in the end, they could still get a backup big out of the trading scuffle.

Something like this (if the Pistons were desperate/stupid enough to accept it):

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n7ckg8m

Or if we don't get Monroe, we could get in the mix for one of the backup bigs of either the Wizards or the Pistons.

Not the best ideas ever, but I think it's definitely worth thinking about.

I wonder if we could ever get the Jazz to do something stupid. Maybe Hayward doesn't want to resign

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

Jared Dudley and Byron Mullens for Gordan Hayward.

I just really wonder if any of these teams with decent Small Forwards that are lottery bound would give them up?

Sixers - Evan Turner

Jazz - Gordon Hayward

Pistons - Josh Smith??

Knicks - Carmelo Anthony - lol jk no way Very Happy

Gordon Hayward is a restricted free agent at seasons end.. Essentially we would giving up a ton for a half season rental only to be put in the same position we were in with Bledsoe. All this team honestly needs at this point a banger inside the paint to come off the bench. Dare i say it somebody that is like reggie evans just a more capable offensive player than him..

I'm not understanding why you all are to give up Jamal and Matt? ??? :X

it's hard to find someone that is...1.. Ok coming off the bench 2. Is a bench player that creates his own shots. and other then matt being a hot head at times the man can play defense. (He's one of those annoying defenders haha) also on the offensive end he is constantly moving. I say we keep both

We still have the Bledsoe TPE.It's only worth $2.6 Milll and can't be combined with a player(ex. can't do Willie salary + TPE = 4 Mill) so our options are limited.I have been thinking about several teams and their needs and think I found a 4 team trade that would improve each team and might be realistic. The teams I am looking at are the Bulls,Magic,Kings, and Clippers.

Bulls traded Deng to save money and because they really like Jimmy Butler. After looking at their roster,it looks like two things they could use is a young SG to pair with Butler at the 3.And a veteran PG who can play big minutes with Rose's health being a concern. The Magic have Oladipo who I think is going to be an elite SG so don't have a reason to keep Afflalo. What they do need though is another player to add to the rebuild with Oladipo and Vucevic.

Kings went out and got Gay and Landry which makes me think they are trying to force a playoff run instead of getting lottery picks and rebuilding. They have a solid starting group with Thomas,Gay,Landry(when healthy)and Cousins.Their biggest weakness is a consistent SG.Marcus Thortan isn't reliable and they don't seem too high on McLemore for some reason. And finally the Clippers imo need a big who hustles, plays solid defense, and goes after rebounds.

So here is the trade I think could help out each team:

Bulls trade Taj Gibson,Kirk Hinrich,Tony Snell,and 1st rounder

Bulls get Jameer Nelson,Ben McLemore, and Andrew Nicholson

Kings trade Ben McLemore,Jimmer Fredette, and future 1st rounder

Kings get Arron Afflalo

Magic trade Arron Afflalo,Jameer Nelson,Andrew Nicholson, and Jason Maxiell

Magic get Taj Gibson,Kirk Hinrich(expiring),Jimmer Fredette(expiring),Tony Snell,Kings 1st rounder,and Bulls 1st rounder

Clippers trade no one

Clippers get Jason Maxiell

All Clippers would have to do is cut Morris for the roster spot and use the Bledsoe TPE.If Maxiell works out, then great. If he doesn't,well at least we didn't give anyone up for him.
