I wish there were concrete rumors - this team needs to make moves. I'm concerned doc said he doesn't anticipate any moves.

I think they might be interested in dumping Zaza for Dudley or Barnes and expiring contract, he's a got a bigger contract than either of them and they would probably be better off giving center minutes to other players to develop them. With Dudley they could even just shut him down the rest of the year to work on his knee and not worry about him interfering with any tanking. Sanders being injured might make this less in doing this though, but if they are fully tanking they might not care.

They may need to make moves, but they don't have any assets to make moves. When Dudley is your best asset, you know it's going to be a slow trade deadline.

My guess is the Clippers go after a FA big man like Ivan Johnson who is coming back from China. Similar to how we got kmart, if I remember correctly.

I think a good trade for both sides would be Jared Dudley for Donatas Motiejūnas. Just a thought because I know Rockets like Dud.

After hearing what happened with Redick I wouldn't mind if Clippers went for a blockbuster trade.I loved what Redick has done for us but he hasn't really been able to consistently find his rhythm with the Starters after a lot of injuries. We haven't really had him for a long stretch and that might hurt in the playoffs by trying to incorporate him back in.I think we could improve our roster greatly but would have to give out some of our assets. This is a 3 way trade with the Kings,Wizards, and us. Clippers trade Redick,Barnes,Dudley,Jamison,a 2nd round pick, and a future 1st rounder. Clippers get....

Take way Doc's personal decisions if we ship barnes out instead of Dudley. (jk but actual maybe do it)

Why does doc keep repeating that he isn't likely to make moves? This roster cannot cannot stand pat. I don't want him as our gm anymore

Does it really matter? It's not like either one is irreplaceable.

I hope it's just empty platitudes. If nothing really is done, he needs to have his personnel powers taken away for real and let Sacks deal with the roster.

Hayward is the worst target for us unless he signs an extension for a really moderate price. He's a good role player but some idiotic teams will offer him way too much.

we should go after shwan marion he is been shooting pretty good from 3pt this year, he hustles, defends, and rebounds.

I think he earns way too much. We might have to let go of multiple guys just to get him

That and they wouldn't trade him anyway. He's too valuable to the team with his play and expiring +9 mil dollar contract.

Doc should pursue Thadeus Young. Clearly the Sixers are shopping him so it can't hurt to ask.

Barnes has proven himself last year and gets more credit from me.

Dudley has done nothing this season. He looks out of shape, slow, really bad in D and has totally no chemistry with the team. And an injury is a lame excuse, if it's so bad then you don't play and led it heal but stop searching for excuses after a bad game.

With Matt i 've more confidence he will be back but not as a starter and I still like him because of the chemistry within the team and his toughness and standing up for his teammates. But i've to admit it he really is sucking lately. I think no game legs because his absence during his injuries.

Try to get G. Davis from the Magic with Dudley +???

At the 3 if nothing gives us an upgrade at the 3 keep Barnes and Bullock (why isn't he playing more like him a lot or is he so bad in practice), I even would start Bullock over Barnes.

Cavs are most likely going to trade Luol Deng. I wouldn't trade Jamal for him, but he'd be perfect on this team.

What this team needs is a 3d type of small forward. We seriously need a wing player who can defend the leagues elite , rebound well and hit the open 3.

Potential targets

-wilson chandler- decent defender, good athletes who can run the wing and hit open 3s. Rebounding is a bit inconsisten.

-Trevor ariza- great size, elite wing defender when motivated, above average wing rebounder, run the wing well an can hit open 3s (this season)

-Shawn marion- contract is a little over price but is expiring. Excellent rebounder and defender. Has a no quit attitude. Although he has struggle from behind the arc in recent years, he has regained his touch this season. Versatile enough to play both forward position.

-Ron artest/metta world peace- excellent and physical defender, who can rebounder when motivate. Improved average 3pt shooter. ( a very possible target, disgruntled with knick and coach the may let him got for cheap and he's a bargain, contract wise)

Additionally the clips have a lack of depth in their front court. Griffin and Jordan have log large amounts of minutes throughout the season can be costly when needed in the post season. A versatile big man who can play with either blake or dj would benefit the most.

Potential targets

-Spencer hawes- excellent 3pt shooter with nice size. But has questionable defensive rebounding fundamentals.

-glen davis- good post defender and rebounder. With a consistent mid range jumper that can be benefits. Can be a liability in transition defense.

Buyout watch***

Email okafor , possible buyout candidate who may become health in time for the playoffs. Great size, elite defender in the post. Efficient rebounder.

The only two i like are:

Chandler and Davis, if we can get one of those two for Dudley i would be happy before the deadline.

If okafor is healthy i would def. go for Chandler otherwise Davis and hope Bullock and Barnes will keep their ground at the 3 spot. Give more min. too Bullock i would say, i love the kid.

He'd most likely be a 1 year rental though. If Doc had complete confidence he could re-sign him in the offseason for a pay cut I'd absolutely do it.

But then there's the SG problem. With JJ out for 5 weeks and no Jamal, we'd be relying on a rookie Bullock and Willie Green for a while.

Basically it would be a massive upgrade at sf and a decent downgrade until JJ is back at sg.

Deng is a perfect fit on this team. He can shoot, defend and rebound. I would only trade him if they were able to get a verbal agreement on him resigning with us this summer.

Deng to the Clippers sounds great, but why would the Cavs want to make this deal? We need to look at both sides of these deals. Teams are not going to make a trade to just make the Clippers better.

The Cavs don't think they can re-sign him in the offseason, which is why they're looking to trade him.

Because it's an all but guarantee that he's bailing on Cleveland. Cavs don't have much leverage at all.

I'm not saying they'll do a Dudley for Deng swap, but they will take what they can get while also sending Deng to a team he wants to play for.

Wouldn't they want to free up cap space or get a younger asset? I think for Deng they traded 3 picks, so maybe they want draft picks. They aren't going to just trade him just to trade him. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like they can get a better asset elsewhere.

They could get 3 draft picks from Boston, but Boston or any other bad team wouldn't trade for Deng because they know they can't re-sign him. Cavs will get pennies on the dollar for Deng IMO.

Even though the Lakers probably won't trade with us, Jordan Hill is a perfect fit for us off the bench.

Jordan Hill would be perfect.

@AirGordon23 I don't think Sac does that first trade, and that second one you left us without a 3 (unless you are relying on Hedo and Bullock) and we only need one back up center and I'm just going to stop there (don't see why Chi wants Lin, and or why they would give Gibson.

Redick and Jamal to Green and Bullock is a massive downgrade also, but Redick coming back makes it okay. We can't just trade Jamal for Deng though, we'd have to trade much more, and what's the incentive for Cleveland to take on extra contract? Jamal makes no sense for them with Irving, Waiters and Jack on the team, not to mention him having a multi-year contract. Even a lot first round pick would make more sense for them.

Most likely they would try and get an expiring contract and a pick if the expiring player(s) aren't even good, but only a low pick, no team will give them a high pick for a guy who is going to be a free agent and isn't resigning with Cleveland anyways.

the wizards are looking for a point guard.

"Brett Poirier: Washington Wizards are interested in trading for Orlando's Jameer Nelson. Magic looking for a second-round pick, according to a source."

"Sam Amick: As teams look for PG depth, worth watching Milwaukee's Luke Ridnour. Washington, I'm told, among interested teams. Bucks may not move him."

if collison is up for trade then, maybe we can get ariza or webster for a package around collison. collison is cheaper or better than the players the wizards are pursuing.

"David Aldridge: Grizz, Wiz would seem natural trade partners. WAS has surplus of threes (Ariza, Webster, Porter); MEM willing to go into tax 4 upgrade."

holy s h i t. if the grizzlies end up with ariza or webster I'm going to kill myself
