Also they can basically draft a player who is almost identical to Klay in Nik Stauskas with their 13th pick.

Denver has the 11th pick. I assume he means the 13th pick.

That's a steal for the Lakers. This trade only makes sense for the Wolves if they get to keep their 13th pick.

The Wolves are as crazy as DTS. If the Warriors are willing to giving up that much to get Love why give the Lakers Thompson and the 13th for the 7th pick.

Why would the Wolves want Barnes over Klay?

Why would the Lakers get Klay. When they can draft poor mans Klay in my favorite player coming out of college in Nik Stauskas. I'm a Michigan fan , but Klay and Nik are essentially the same player

So this is roughly the going rate for a top 10 pick (give or take). I was hoping we'd be able to trade for Sacramento's 8th pick, but it's looking like the asking price would be too high.

I think it is also situation dependent. Philly has been trying to move Young and they are now interested in Exum and seem to consider him a better prospect than MCW.

I'll willingly take him off their hands. I like Kevins Game

Why? Kevin doesn't make sense on our team, production wise he's Jamal without the similar ability to create in isolation, though better foul drawing ability, but Jamal might even be a better defender (which is saying more about K-Mart than Jamal). Why would we pay $6.7M and three more years of his contract and have 3 starting caliber SG's on the team with none actually properly capable of playing PG or SF? That's a terrible move.

If we didn't have Redick and wanted a motion type SG, then yea, Kevin makes sense, and similar to Redick, best backed up by a defensive type SG with some length to compliment him. Makes no sense for our current team, even without Jamal, how are you splitting minutes with him and Redick? That means you start playing Kevin Martin at SF to get himm more minutes and that's just terrible.

Its a trade we aren't just going to grab Kevin Martin and sit back like a fat mouse. We would have to give up something either Jamal or JJ. I mean if Jamal's value is....

Yea, but what is the point of trading one of our players to make a lateral move? If you're maintaining the same level of play, then you take chemistry of guys who have played together over making a lateral move.

At BEST it is a lateral move. Martin is no better than either J.J. or Jamal, we shouldn't make trades just for the sake of making trades. We aren't just trying to get rid of Jamal, we'd get rid of him to improve, not just to make a move for the sake of it. Warriors don't want to have him for $7M/year for another 3 seasons when he's generally been an injury prone player for his career and will be 31 years old next season.

He's clearly not a guy who would be in their long term plans. One thing that helps them a lot is the fact that Klay is a good defender and so is Iguodala and Curry doesn't defend a lot of good perimeter guys that much. Curry can comfortably be put on the worse player from 1-3 on the opposing team. Martin would be the guy you want to hide if he's on the team. They probably want a guy who can play defense as opposed to locking up a no defense SG for three seasons.

Rumored Golden State wants to move Barnes to the SG spot or Iggy. Curry,Iggy,Barnes,Love,Bogut I mean it may be lateral as far as production , and JJ wasn't the healthiest either. I just feel we need....

For Shumpert. I mean youth , but those knees scare me a bit

What scares me is his inability to score. We'd be losing 18ppg for someone who scores 7ppg.

He'd have to be the be a guaranteed Westbrook stopper for me to do this trade, but I don't think he is.

I think we are set at the SG spots. We really just need a legit SF on the wing.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not sure how sold I am on Shumpert, but I don't see how Kevin Martin fits either way. Getting Shumpert doesn't mean getting Martin. We can move Collison for Shumpert, sign Livingston as a FA to fill the PG void and move Jamal for improvement at another position, so I just don't see where Martin fits as a guy we would be going after.

Caps, I think in the interest of balance, if we're getting a defensive SG, we balance it by getting a scoring SF, either Vince or Pierce, so we don't lose the ability to create / score from the wing positions.

....by saying I'm not sold on Shumpert, what I mean is that I'm not sure how disciplined he can be as a defender. He's an overly aggressive defender which can make him look tenacious in select plays, but on a whole it can mean getting beat more than your should and putting your teammates in a bad position trying to recover. So obviously you want the effort and tenacity, but you also want to reign him in a bit and make him a more disciplined defender.

If we are looking for someone who just defends, let's get Al-Farouq Aminu back. I think he can be a GREAT wing defender under the right defensive system. He's already a top rebounder at the 3 spot.

He can play the 3 and the 4 for us.

If they are a similar price, Marvin tested as a better athlete, can also defend and play the 3/4 and is a superior shooter.

I love Marvin Williams, I'd love him to be in our SF rotation, but I'm not sure if he's a good enough 3pt shooter to start.

We need a knockdown 3pt shooter at SF to start and lockdown defender to backup who can start for matchup reasons. Atleast that's the ideal situation in my mind. Something like Dunleavy Jr and Marvin Williams combo.

I love Livingston so much that I'd probably rather see him go to another team that can pay him the money he deserves and possibly a starting job.

But I'd definitely take him on our team if he's willing to take less. He just deserves his moment in the sun though.

The main reason why I'm actually kind of happy Collison's opting out is because Livingston's available. His size and post game would be a nice change of pace coming off the bench.

I think if J.J. is starting, I'd rather have a defender starting at SF even if we give up just a little shooting, then have the shooter come off the bench with ideally our defender like Sefolosha or someone at SG off the bench. The reason I say that is just so guys have consistent roles and they aren't switching from bench to starter so often based on matchups, but it could work either way.

He isn't a knockdown shooter, that is certainly true. Since his 4th season, per 36 he's averaged 13/6/2/44.6% FG /34.7% 3PT/ 3.0 3PA/ 54.5 TS%.

What is nice though is that his last three seasons his 3PA and 3PT% have been up in comparison. 4.0 3PA/36 and 35.7% which is not bad really.

I actually agree about Livingston in that while I want him on this team, I also do want him to get a well deserved contract which I'm not sure we can offer. I wouldn't mind going after Vasquez as a backup option though, but he can't defend as well. If the Nets get Jack though, then they are moving on from Shaun and I think it would be a good signing if he is willing to come here.

...and when Doc ultimately decides to run both his PG's together, we don't have the smallest back-court in the league. Shaun actually has the length of a SF.

livingston is a no brainer for this team having cp3 at the 1.shaun can play 1-3 positions and can move well laterally on defense.

Even smaller things like on offense Shaun can feed the post easier. He can grabs offensive boards. He just get them in general. Anywho "While Jack's acquisition wouldn't directly impact Shaun Livingston's presence with the team,....

Nets have the tax payer MLE, we have the non-tax payer MLE so we can offer him $5.3M/year or so. I like Shaun, but I don't think it is worth it for us to do that.

lol, of course you're narrating it like that since you're a Clippers fan, but Melo isn't going to take way less to play for us. He'll still have a very good chance to win with Houston and has potential to make more money.

Derrick seems to be turning into a burden if your a Bulls fan. First he doesn't want LeBron on his team, and now he doesn't want Melo.

Both of those guys had Chicago at the top of their lists and with his sh*tty knees he needs all the help he can get.

We don't have two coveted draft picks to pair with a player that makes $15mil that we can dump.

On a side note I'd totally take back Snell or Dunleavy Jr if it meant we get the rights to Nikola Mirotic.

Bc we don't have giant unwanted contracts to get rid of. Simmons put out a scenario last week where we trade jamaal and Deandre for picks and dump Dudley off with a pick to have enough money for Melo or Lebron. I pretty sure that is similar shyte to what you're talking about.

I'm pretty sure the rumor was for DeMar and Barg. If it was Ross I'd have no regrets, if it was for DeMar I'd be a little curious but I still think we are better off with a real shooter in JJ and not having Barg.

DeMar is awsome though. Future Clipper??

The Bulls are trying to trade for Afflalo. Why don't we try to get Afflalo? I would take Afflalo over Redick/Crawford any day. Much more consistent, better 3 pt% than both, and plays better defense than both combined.

Bucks are reportedly open to trading Sanders, Ilyasova, Knight and Henson.

We must try and get Henson. He's going to be really good. He can be our Taj Gibson.

That tells me that Bledsoe's trade value was nowhere near as high as we thought and that people need to stop bitching about the actual trade. At least we got Redick from the real trade.... Bargs and Ross would have been useless.

not a bad thought.... moving JJ to backup, and.... way too much mula for a backup, and....

back in the day, Kevin McHale clotheslined Kurt Rambis.... the Lakes went out and got Mychael Thompson to handle McHale.

we need to get someone to guard both LeBron and Durant.... could we get Moultrie from Philly w/Dudley, or ??

Afflalo is certainly not a better 3PT shooter than Redick, but he would be nice to have, problem is that we don't have the trade pieces. Orlando wants youth, they want to reduce the glut at SG and SF and we can offer them older guys who play SG and SF, sooo...

I could consider Henson. I get red flags on acquiring players from lottery franchises. I feel their stats are padded because the team is so bad. See Byron Mullens , Antawn Jamison , etc. Looks like....
