I think sometimes some of the worst players to get are the guys that killed you because it doesn't mean they killed the other 28 teams. He did kill us, but for some reason we were a great matchup for him. In other games he fouled out in 20 minutes.

He had 5+ fouls 14 times and only play 22+ minutes 6/14 times, so he actually did commit 5+ fouls 8 times while playing <22 mins. He wouldn't be bad, he can replace Hollins. He can shoot better, has more offensive skill, and rebounds better. He's the same hack of course.

Haha, oh sheesh, that might make a little more sense, especially when it comes to actual matching of contracts.

Biyombo or Zeller are probably the guys we would be going after on Charlotte, though there were rumblings about Henderson before, but we drafted a SG now. Makes sense since they just drafted Vonleh, so their front-court is getting packed (Jefferson, Vonleh, Biyombo, Zeller and McBob is a FA, and yea, Powell, but he's their second round pick). Gilchrist is their only true SF as Hairston who they drafted is a SG too, so a veteran SF to back him up actually makes sense for them, also someone that can hit the three at least decently (Gilchrist - 9 3PA, 1/9 for the SEASON).

I'd be content with either of those two players to be honest, so we'll see what happens, maybe they are asking for Bullock too.

I prefer Zeller to Biyombo. Bismack is too similar to DJ and we could really go for an offensively skilled Center.

Is Barnes enough to nab Zeller? Probably have to throw in Bullock

I'm glad the Clippers are asking for more than what they should get, hence all these teams denying our trade requests. Don't want to get screwed again like from the Bledsoe trade.

I think defense is more of a priority, since every team's bench always killed us. Biyombo is a good interior defender.

Absolutely. We have all the offense in the world that we need, our downfall was a lack of defense. We could score and get a 15 point lead on a team easily we just couldn't keep said lead

Too true. Biyombo would be a great back up big.

If Atlanta gets Deng maybe we can get Carroll. They just traded Lou who was similar to Jamal and might need someone off the bench. They also might have good memories of Jamal. It would just take some work to make the money work, maybe including a pick or something and getting Gustavo Ayon. I'm not sure how to make it work, Trade Machine is useless right now, half the players are free agents and the others have already been traded.

Then sign Sefolosha, and then maybe work a trade with Pheonix for Channing. I'm not sure if we have anything they want, but it's worth a shot. I think Channing is doubtful, but I could keep dreaming.

It would be nice to have something like:

CP3/ Livingston

Sefolosha/JJ/CJ

Carroll/ Matt

Blake/Channing

DJ/Ayon

Oh? I do not remember that happening TheDude?

Boozer I couldn't trade for , but Dunleavy , but that no defense at all with Jj and Dunleavy

with the draft pick that the clips got... a shooting guard...and the pick last year....shooting guard..

It looks like clips are getting ready to unload,dudley... 4.2 mil

...crafword..5.4 mil

...reddick....6.8 mil

and that equals... around...16 mil...

and pick up king games Smile

we will see..we have to wait till the sterling saga ends and free agency starts..

maybe as soon as July 1st..

or July 7..

My theory was when DJ is getting hacked we are gonna need to be able to send in a quality replacement that can hit FT's and keep our offense fluid.

Biyombo is a terrible FT shooter and will likely result in continuos hacking.

Also Zeller has more years left on his contract which is good for the future.

I'd like to see something like this as Atlanta prepares to go after one of the more wanted SF's:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=qcl6qe9

I'd like Gerald Green, but don't know if it's a good fit after his last run with Doc.

The good thing is that there has been a lot of chatter from social media about Doc's proposed trades to other teams. Doc has tried asking about Tony Allen, Shumpert, and other guys known for their defense. I'm not too familiar with Biyombo, but if that's his specialty then he would be a great asset with this team. I'm assuming he's a big?

Dunleavy isn't a bad shooter. I think he could knock some shots down for us. But if we have to take Boozer, forget it. I'd rather play 4 on 5 than play Boozer.

Our defense drops off significantly when DJ hits the bench... I think that is something Bismack Biyombo can help with. Not to mention the dude is 21 years old! Kinda reminds me of Ibaka... I never knew who the guy was.. but after a few hours of youtube videos and highlights....... I know highlights usually show the best of a person but its not all dunks and 3's.. its defense.. And I like it.

The following will likely make you grateful that I am not our GM...I would trade Barnes, Crawford, Jordan, and Redick to DEN for Afflalo, Chandler, McGee. We upgrade our wings at both ends of the floor and get a center of similar age and skills. This would probably leave DEN with too many SGs, but it would afford them a fair amount of financial relief and flexibility.

Next, I would sign the following free agents: Brian Roberts, CJ Miles, Ed Davis, and Jason Smith.

Lastly, I would sign the following rookie free agents: Deante Burton and Patric Young.

PG - Paul/Roberts/Burton

SG - Afflalo/Miles/Wilcox

SF - Chandler/Dudley/Bullock

PF - Griffin/Davis

C - McGee/Smith/Young

I think this is financially feasible and gives us a better starting unit, an underrated and inexpensive second unit, and an assortment of third stringers to develop.

I'd add $10 in cash considerations to compensate the Hornets for the peanuts. I'd also send their whole FO flower arrangements.

Why did we guarantee Jamal's contract? He is now a worse trade asset. Can this FO do anything right?

Apparently not in your eyes.

I think I'd wait just a wee bit longer before making a reasonable judgement on this seasons FO moves.

Calm down chicken little, his 2014-15 salary of $5.4 mil was automatically guaranteed by today's date, if not we would have to cut him, making him an UFA, then he'd have no value to us and we couldn't trade him! seems like you just wait for news to see how you can spin it into something that makes our FO incompetent. Are you a trolling Laker fan?

Alex Kennedy: The Denver Nuggets have considered trading JaVale McGee and/or Wilson Chandler, according to league sources. Twitter @AlexKennedyNBA - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.95G8enHX.dpuf

It's too bad McGee's contract is so absurd, because he would be a great backup otherwise.

Trading for Chandler would be more feasible though.

Like I said in the other thread on why they wouldn't just dump Mozgov as some piece to "get rid" of Gallinari, the Nuggets like Mozgov more than McGee. Seemingly they also obviously feel Gallo should be back healthy if they are trying to trade Chandler to move McGee.

I was never a fan of the McGee contract anyways

Mcgee on the Clips under Doc could really turn him into a force defensively off the bench. I like that. Doubt it happens. Mcgee and DJ on the same is hilarious.

Wilson Chandler. I just don't know about him. Didn't watch him much.

This is more of a question because I'd really hate to lose DJ & lose chemistry, but for the sake of taking a risk, what if we...

Trade DJ, Barnes and Dudley for McGee, Afflalo and Nate Robinson?

With Nate, we don't have to use any exception for Collison... we could basically use our MLE on a C like Spencer Hawes or Jordan Hill and our BAE on a PF like Ed Davis... sign Pierce to Vet Min...

CP/Nate Robinson

JJ/Jamal

Wilson/Pierce

Blake/Ed Davis

McGee/Hawes or Jordan Hill

Why does Denver do this? Think about that every time you try to come up with a trade. Afflalo is better than barnes. McGee and DJ are pretty equal with DJ getting the nod. Nate is much better than Duds... they don't have a lotta reason to trade

I'm sure that has to do with very little player movement in Free agency. Once the players start finding new teams, trades should follow soon after.

I think DJ surpassed McGee by a lot more than that. And wouldn't Denver want a guy in DJ that doesn't get hurt? All their players are super fragile.

don't worry..

doc has everything under control..

enjoy the summer..

by october..we will have a cheap back up point guard and a cheap back up center/power forward..

and hopefully a good small forward..

and have at least one less shooting guard..

we will be better than last year..

remember.. dj and blake have made great strides and I expect them to do the same over the summer..

Can we take advantage of the Magic's current stupidity and try to get Mo Harkless? He seems to be developing into a jack of all trades type player.

I'm hoping the Clippers have spoken to the Knicks and Heat already to queue up a sign-and-trade for Melo or Lebron in the event that either decide to leave. I'm thinking Deandre, Jamal Crawford, Reggie Bullock, and Jared Dudley would be better than getting nothing.

a What did the Magic do, just signing Gordon? Harkless is basically a young Ariza who has learned to shoot 3PTers earlier, so yes, he would be nice.

Pacers are shopping Roy Hibbert.

Rivers is having a hard time trading Barnes, Dudley & the supporting cast. I hope RIvers knows some magic. If he don't, he needs to call David Blaine to teach him. Smile

Pacers without Roy Hibbert? I doubt they could get anything in return that would make them a title contender, especially if they lose Lance.

Maybe in a year or two Paul George will demand a trade to the Clippers.

Sorry, that was the most Laker fan type thinking ever.

Pacers can shop Hibbert until the cows come home, he's still overpaid trash that nobody under the cap would want.

Dangerously close to hard cap. I would like to think a trade is inevitable for a small forward hopefully imminently.

I believe so to DA. I would hope Deng or Ariza would be nice. Maybe a first round pick for Pierce would be nice as well. I like Ariza and found it odd he has not....

Paul Pierce is not worth JJ Reddick and first round draft picks.

Please do not make the same mistake the Lakers made with Steve Nash.

Gave up 2 first round and 2 second round.

And now stuck with his 10M on the books and they can't get rid of him.

JJ Reddick can hit that open 3. Not at this stage in Pierces career.
