We trade Crawford and 2014/2015 first round pick to Cleveland who then flip our pick for another piece to help get Love.

what are we getting for Crawford and our 14/15 pick? I know it's not Wiggins, but if you could manage that I vote you become our new GM.

I like the idea of squeezing in on trades, I just don't see what's available there. Are we trying to get Bennett from Cleveland or Brewer from Minny? Those are risky players to lose Jamal for in my opinion. Brewer and Buddinger our close to Barnes. I think Bennett is still has potential, but that could be bust potential. There is no one available on either of these rosters that make sense for us to get. If we were trying to get a back up big there would be more options, but in this case I don't see to much there. Unless you are a big Shabazz fan I don't see what's worth Jamal.

If we could squeeze Harrison Barnes out of a Golden State- Minnesota trade I'd be all for it, but don't think we got anything any of them want.

Clips talk to Knicks before the draft.as you can see both teams have the same players on their teams.

Jamal has his flaws as a player, but at least he's not a trouble maker like Smith

The Knicks are run by Phil now, not an idiot like Isiah... no way they take Dudley's useless ass in a trade. And JR Smith doesn't belong on any team interested in winning.

I wrote that comment because "preese" started his own thread based on his comment which I found pointless. Then a mod merged the threads.

I'm looking at it as Jamal for Iman and Duds for Jr. I'm not the biggest Jr fan but his game is similar to Jamal's. I do like the size they would bring, I would feel better about Jr or Iman playing stints at the 3 due to their size. Contract wise it's pretty close jr is on a contract close to Jamal's but is seen as bad as Dudley's while Iman is a one year rental.

Anyway this can work?

I'm higher on Harrison Barnes and think they aren't as high on him right now. Maybe adding a pick and we can get it done. I've heard Minnesota like Thad and even though I don't think Philly is so high on David Lee maybe a pick in there from us would make it a sweeter deal. If we could unload Duds instead of anything listed it would be better, but don't think that's realistic.

We get Harrison Barnes

We give Jamal a pick or Reggie or both.

Minn gets Thad, GSW first round, Jamal and either Reggie or our First round pick

Minn gives K Love to GSW

Phi gets David Lee, and Reggie or our pick (probably Reggie)

Phi gives Thad

GSW gets K Love

GSW gives D Lee, H Barnes, and a pick

I recall him doing pretty well in the playoffs two years ago. I think the Warriors killed his confidence by getting Iguodala and moving Barnes to the bench.

An idea for a replacement for collison's departure would be Kent Bazemore, didn't do much in GSW seeing as he got barely any minutes but in the 2013 summer league he averaged 18.4 pts 4.5 rebs 3.1 assists and 1.7 steals in 7 games and once he got a chance with the lakers his averages jumped tremendously: 2.3 PPG to 13.1, .3 SPG to 1.3.... He is a very strong perimeter defender as well as an energetic slasher that could look good alongside CP. just a suggestion but I think he could be a good fit, I know he just signed with Atlanta but maybe we could swap Dudley for Baze and a 2nd Round Pick?

We signed Farmar, remember

Does H. Barnes look like he lacks confidence or like he's just not that good?

Honestly, I think it's both. Jackson moving him to the bench probably hurt his confidence, and he probably isn't as good as his playoff run two seasons ago suggested.

That being said, if the Clips could bring him in, I would do it, price depending of course.

Celtics don't want Brandon Bass.trying very hard to trade him. I hope Rivers is listening. Trade barnes & dudley(7mil) for Bass(7mil)

So Reggie Bullock and maybe M'Baye for 48 minutes a game? I think I'll just shoot myself now and save me the torture.

I don't get the fascination of getting Bass. We already have Hawes and Big Baby.

And Bass is not a good rebounder at all.

M'Baye is good... but still raw... Kind of reminds me of Aminu with better scoring... (When Aminu was with us).

Bass averaged 5.7 RPG n 27.6 MPG, 7.5 per 36 minutes and his career is 7.6 per 36 minutes, you must have looked at the wrong players stats.

Bass is a nice player as a backup PF, but this team doesn't really need a player like him anymore, so it wouldn't make much sense. Him and Davis have similar games except that he is better. Bass is essentially the skinnier upgrade version of Glen Davis.

(what) would you think of the unthinkable ??

CP3 (21), JJ Reddick (7), Carlos Delfino (3), Matt Barnes (3)

for

Rajon Rondo (13), Gerald Wallace (10), Jeff Green (9), 1st round pick (!!)

granted there was talk of a Rajon/Rivers feud when Doc was coach, albeit Rondo is a defensive minded pg (similar to Rivers when he played for the Clipps), and we've had problems w/the Parkers and Westbrooks of late.... Wallace and Green could give the Clipps better resources w/which to deal w/the likes of KD and the King as well.

from our side of the fence, the question is have the Clippers come upon their Chris Paul Peter principle, as seemingly CP3 & Blake have risen past the likes of Curry & Lee @Gstate, and Conley & Randolph @Memphis, but some might wonder if Westbrook & KD is surmountable w/what and/or who we have, and considering soon come Kyrie & the King, not to mention the ineffable combo of Parker & Duncan ??

and know just the thought or mention of such outrage/outlandish jabberwocky will get some in her w/their panties in a bunch or at least their feathers ruffled, and.... where do you stack up in relationship to a guy that cannot shoot to save his life/Rondo possibly becoming available ??

ps. if we moved Reddick that could conceivably open the door for Ray Allen to sign w/the Clipps.

I doubt he coming here. Even tho Rivers coached him. They probably want a 1st rounder too.Which we don't have.

Well, Don't think Rondo is a good locker room guy. Still think Doc did not handle the issues between Rondo and Allen well back to 2009

Lol, Rondo is nowhere close to being as good as CP. Paul/Redick/Barnes is a far superior group of players to Rondo and Green, Wallace is useless these days.

This is wishing and I mean really wishing. Send JJ packing to Minny and get Kevin Martin in return. No reason for the Wolves to accept the trade but according to trade machine this trade would make us win 6+ more games than projected. Unless Minnesota wants to start tanking, this trade ain't happening but fun to think about

It would help us but it won't solve our biggest issue which is our piss poor defense. K-Mart is arguably a worse defender than Redick and that is saying a lot....

We need a 3&D type of player not K-Mart.

The chatter over these past few days indicates the denizens of CTB want a bold move by Ballmer. They want to roll the dice and TRADE. EVERYONE. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I have done just that. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lw75u7k This trade will not only make the Clippers a contender, but it will also bring the player the Clippers have longed for most...Jeff Ayres. Why the Clippers do this trade: Because Jeff Ayres didn't win MVP last year for a reason. The other guys are just to make salaries work. Why the Thunder do this trade: Because they're an altruistic organization that longs to return....

J J Redick for Gerald Henderson

Henderson would fit in nicely on the Clippers. He's younger than J J, more athletic, can finish at the rim, and is a better defender. With the arrival of Lance, Henderson's minutes on the bench will increase. His contract is better than Redick's as well. This move would give the Clippers more flexibility moving forward.

Do it Doc! Mr. Green

How about once we get to the date that allows us to trade Farmar, we try to get Chandler?

Denver trades:

Chandler

Nate

Foye

LAC trades:

JJ

Matty

Farmar

I know there is no reason for Denver to do it and we don't have a pick to make it work, but I can dream.

I forgot to mention the whole Farmar and Matty know the triangle angle for Shaw as last ditch effort to keep his job.

Hey guys,

Just brainstorming a few trade ideas. I would love to do the following, and it looks as if the salaries come close to matching up but it would have to be after Dec 15 if I'm not mistaken.

Clippers get:

Lance Stephenson (SG) $9,000,000

Isaiah Thomas (PG) $7,200,000

Wilson Chandler (SF) $6,800,000

Phoenix gets:

Deandre Jordan (C) $11,400,000

Jordan Farmar (PG) $2,100,00

Charlotte gets:

Jamal Crawford (SG): $5,500,000

Matt Barnes (SF): $3,400,000

C.J. Wilcox (SG): $1,100,000

Denver gets:

P.J. Tucker (SF) $5,700,000

Reggie Bullock (SG/SF) $1,200,000

I know we would lose DJ, but Hawes looks solid enough at that spot, and what we would get in return is defensive wing contributions from Lance Stephenson and Wilson Chandler plus a backup PG that will be very, very good in Isaih Thomas. With Barnes and DJ playing slightly worse than last year it wouldn't be a catastrophic loss, and Jamal is great but I would rather get defense in return for him so Lance would provide that. I'm not sure whether Lance has played any SF, but if he could that would be great if not then we have a balanced SG rotation between Stephenson and Redick. Also, Wilson Chandler has a pretty good PER and his rebounding numbers are solid, as are Stephensons. Anyhow this could be just one idea to bolster the team.

Also, we get incredibly younger off of this trade.

Laak

We're by far the worst rebounding team in the NBA. Giving away our only solid rebounder without getting anyone close to the rebounding production he produces is just silly.

Thomas and Chandler would be nice pieces, but Lance is an absolute team killer. One of the most selfish players in the league.

Rebounding wise Lance Stephenson averages 8.1 RPG this year, the guy that he would replace (Jamal Crawford) only averages 2.0 RPG so you already have a net positive of 6.1 RPG right there. Wilson Chandler averages 5.9 RPG, while the guy he would replace (Matt Barnes) only averages 2.1 RPG, so we would have a net positive of 3.8. Isaiah Thomas avergaes 2.4 RPG, while the guy he would replace (Jordan Farmar) averages 1.1, so we have a net gain of 1.3 RPG. So between these three new guys you would improve (hypothetically) by my math we would add about 11.2 RPG with the addition of these players and the ouster of Barnes, Crawford, and Farmar. The biggest change in rebounding would be in trading away DJ, who averages 11.4 RPG. But you aren't giving away 11.4 RPG you are giving away the difference that results from him and his replacement. Hawes avergaes 4.8 RPG, and subtracted from Deandre's production of 11.4 we would be losing about 6.6 RPG, but remember we just added 11.2 RPG with the addition of Stephenson, Chandler, and Thomas. So when you subtract that (6.6) from 11.2 and we still would improve by 4.6 RPG. So actually we would be getting a better rebounding team, which is the point. I started looking at rebounding in the NBA. Did you know the best rebounding team in the NBA is Portland? They average a total of 47.9 RPG, a whopping total of 4.5 RPG separates the best rebounding team in the league from the 8th best team in the league (OKC). It's amazing how less than half a dozen rebounds can change your fortunes. So the 4.6 RPG we would gain as a result of this trade would vault us from 29th in the league to a three way tie for 16th place. So with my proposed trade we would actually be getting better in that regard.

If this trade would make us worse in an aspect it sure isn't rebounding

Also, Lance being selfish is an interesting take because Lance averages 9.7 PPG, 5.4 APG, and 8.1 RPG, which are numbers to prove that he's more than just a "selfish" player, which I assume refers to players who just chuck up shots and don't pass, rebound, or play defense. I don't think its a silly trade at all. Now is Lance a team killer? I don't know, maybe. Matt Barnes was once viewed that way as well and he fit in here very well.

We need to take into account that he's the type of player we need too. GSW has a thug in Draymond Green, OKC has Ibaka, Memphis has Randolph, we need a guy like that that can be aggressive and do the things that take opposing players out of their element.

The trade would also bring us Isaiah Thomas to lead the bench and possibly pair him with Redick, Hedo, and Baby on the second unit for a real potent bench.
