Honestly tho i agree Thornton is not that great, yet I highly doubt the Sota L-Wolves would trade such a gem for a mediocre Small Forward. Wishful Thinking, However
Thorton is definitely a "me first" type of player. When the rock is dished to him everyone bettter start boxing out because you know he is gonna shoot a brick. But i doubt Dunleavy is even thinking about shopping Thorton. If we somehow brought another solid small forward it would be great for al to come off the bench and bring us some fire power

anyways i like thornton a lot and think he will b a big par of the clippers success.

I dont know why my posts are getting everyone so worked up and drawing comparisions to other commenters, but I would say what Kanye says ..."Dont Be so Paranoooid"...besides that...LETS GO CLIPPERS ! any thoughts on the Blake for Durant ideas? |

| I think it is- Blake would be going home and OKC understand Durant is going to bolt the first chance he gets anyway, so might as well trade him for something valuable |

anyways i like thornton a lot and think he will b a big par of the clippers success. No doubt about Thorton, but i do think there is one more piece to the puzzle out there in free agency
I dont log in as another user. I'm a fustrated season ticket holder at what the front office is doing. They have such great talent, but they also have the wrong staff to teach these young kids to be better basketball players. Its just a shame. If its not working, ******* fix it. Get rid of the staff and hire people with better knowledge of the game.
I mean, Thornton is not a bad player. He has so much potential, but they just give him the ball, face up and shoot a 20ft jumper. The man cannot shoot, so why let him shoot a jumper all the time. He is a slasher type of player, kinda like shawn marion. Play him like how nash and marion run the offense. Get a better PG who doesn't care more about his business than the game of basketball. You need a very dedicated person to run the point.
<< No longer a season ticket holder for 09/10.... =/ |

Im guessing it is "novak for the win" since Novak had the sweet game winner this year. I never noticed it either until now. |

Welcome Shaqtus. An excellent argument for Al off the bench b_diddy. Can't argue much (but I'll try later just for sport)
ps if you haven't seen it, find a clip of "Havlecheck stole the ball" Something tradewise is about to hit the fan and whatever, it will be a surprise.
My feeling is that you should never say anything to anyone in a post that you wouldn't have the b**s to say to their face. Hiding behind a computer and insulting someone is real chicken s**t. There are polite ways to say everything. Most of us respectfully disagree. Personally I wouldn't take a lot of this crap if it were said to my face. |

clipperstown:
as sunnydrew3 surmised, FTW is "For The Win," referencing Ralph Lawler's playcall of the game winner Novak hit against the Nets at Staples center.

"Novak for the win-- BINGOOO!!! Clippers win!!!"
Depending how things shake out, I may have to replace it though.

1. With the impending Randolph trade, there is no longer any need to trade anymore bigs.
2. While Kaman isn't untouchable, trading him for Love and a future Rubio would once again crowd the 4 while making the 5 too shallow and provide no immediate PG depth.
3. The T-Wolves are more desperate to rid Rubio than we are of acquiring, therefore giving up anything of value would already be too steep of a price.
1. starting camby over griffin is ludicrous, having camby come off the bench is also insane and would make no sense.... and your ignoring deandre jordon
2. what? camby moves to the 5 deandre backs him up, griffin a 4 backed up by love a 4 ....and ricky rubio wouldnt provide PG depth?
3. we are rebuilding, we have the worst Coach/GM in the history of the NBA, and your forgetting dunleavy loves rubio so thats your value there..
4. baaaaad arguments dude |

Wasn't talking to you specifically sorry if you took it that way but sometimes these di*kless wonders get on my nerves. We've got a great post Jamfan where are you? To be redudant, maybe Al needs someone to feed him and someone to kick his arse. This season was such a disaster that you can't completely judge a young player by it (Yes I'm being positive). He played better after DTS but a foot up there. If we can wait on BD and CK we can wait on Al but he may be gone soon However, I think we'll get blindsided by the next move. We've got Q and Ricky. Mardy can play SF. |

| lets use some of the trade exception from unloading Randolph to trade for Bruce Bowen. It has been said that the Bucks are trying to get rid of his salary for salary cap reasons. Bowen would be a solid veteran addition for this season. His contract expires after this season so it would also be a low risk acquisition. |

yeah same here. i could even see him retiring. something tells me that if the spurs were actually willing give him away in a trade with no guarantee he would be back, then maybe his game has dropped off quite a bit in the last few years.
still, if he was an option, i would love to bring him in to help mentor our young guys about defense. |

check out this trade bill simmons put on his twitter. i like it a lot and he makes a good point- its good value for everyone
simmons:
"4-way deal I made up: Boozer/Camby/Harpring to Det; Hamilton to Dall; Prince to LAC; J. Howard/Maxiell to Utah. Who says no?"
So we basically turn Camby into Prince. Not bad value there. |

This actually looks really good for all teams. Although I'm not so sure I'd do it if I were Utah; but they are in financial trouble so who knows.. this really does seem to work for all parties involved. But personally, I really think we should leave the team as is right now, however if a trade like this were to pop up as a realistic option then I may have to rethink my status on our team.. not that it matters in the real scheme of things.. |

| The key to almost any trade is Chris Kaman. If he is ready to play 30-35 minutes a game, we can do alot of things with the attrsctive contract of Camby. Every team would kill for Cambys expiring contract (not to mention he still has great game). If Kaman is not ready to step up his game, trading Camby is difficult. If Kaman comes back and can play effectivley for 30 minutes a game, trading Camby for Prince - no brainer!!! |

If Kaman comes back and can play effectivley for 30 minutes a game, trading Camby for Prince - no brainer!!!
see the thing is with kaman, he could be healthy all next season, and then miss out most of the season after that, the guy is not consistently healthy. he is very consistently injured though. |

alright heres my idea for the day. sign and trade for marvin williams where the hawks get our trade exception (if we can even trade that) and camby. then we sign bogans and powe and then find a backup PG if possible.
new depth chart:
PG: davis, backup PG or taylor
SG: EG, Bogans, R.Davis or Collins
SF: M Williams, Al, R Davis or Collins
PF: Blake, Powe/Novak
C: Kaman, DJ
Not sure I even like it that much, but its my thought for today. It makes us young and that starting lineup is pretty nice. plus, Al comes off the bench and scores a bunch for us. |

I don't know I really like camby filling in the 4/5 position for blake and kaman. Also where is Q on your roster? |

| I love Tayshun but come on...there's a lot of good SF that we can sign next year with the help of Cambys expiring contract. Lebron or Pierce? |

| K maybe not Lebron but: Pierce, Rudy Gay, Peja, Al Harrington, Salmons, Richard Jefferson, Josh Howard, Tmac if u wanna risk it. With Cambys, Collins, Rickys, and Q.Rich/Zbo's expiring contracts...we can get one of these guys and another guy hopefully at the Center position. I dunno, I feel this year it's more important to have a backup PF/C with Camby. Our SF position looks safe (tho not great) with Thornton and Qrich. If we traded Camby for Prince, we would have Prince, Thornton, Q, and Novak at SF and Blake, Kaman, and DJ at PF/C. It's just goin to be another log jam but at the SF position. |

Im not sure of the practicality of this but I would like to see Zach Randolph and Al Thornton traded to Milwaukee for Michael Redd and Luc Mbah a Moute.
Clippers would get value out of this trade for the following reasons:
- Redd is a proven scorer that can, and has, put up 40 on any given night
- Mbah a Moute is a decent defender/rebounder that can play 2 through 4 (and did with Milwaukee)
- This trade would allow Eric Gordon to be what Ben Gordon was for the bulls last season
Bucks would get value out of this trade for the following reasons:
- Zach Randolph can replace the hole left by Charlie V
- Thornton plays the slasher similar to that of richard jefferson
- Charlie bell can shoot just as well as Redd and now he can actually see the court
Maybe this is a homer trade scenario since Im a Clippers fan from Wisconsin but to me everybody wins. |
