On my way home today I tuned in to the Mason and Ireland show on ESPN. They were entertaining the idea that the Clippers should pick up Allen Iverson because: we had nothing to lose, Iverson would bring in more fans, and Iverson could play the 2 better than any Clipper on the roster. Of course I immediately got on the phone to call them and give them a piece of my mind. Most Clippers fans are completely against that idea because Eric Gordon has been so productive this year at the 2, and Iverson is in the twilight of his career and refuses to come off the bench.
Mason and Ireland then went on to further ask the callers to name any "superstar" on the Clipper roster (hinting at how horrible we were, and that Iverson would finally be that "superstar" we are lacking). Obviously these guys have not been keeping track of a guy from Michigan called Chris Kaman. Their lack of Clipper knowledge was unbearable. They obviously base their opinion of the Clippers on past seasons completely ignoring any good that has come this season. Has anyone else noticed this? I mean I welcome criticism, but these two just base their Clipper analysis on outdated history? They knew nothing about Eric Gordon or Chris Kaman's performance this year. Clipper Joe and all you older members, have you guys noticed this from Mason and Ireland as well? They really need to research our team better before making their absurd analysis

They talked the same thing a couple years ago, just before Shaun Livingston suffered that knee injury. They proposed a trade of Livingston and Corey Maggette to Denver for Allen Iverson. Mason claims he's a Clipper fan, and don't forget that Ireland works for the Lakers as a sideline reporter...this is nothing new.

The hardest thing about the situation was not being able to get my call on the air I was sooo eager to correct them
