I don't know if it's the losses, or the high expectations that have been shot down, but I've been feeling alot of tension lately.
This board used to be a band of brothers. I remember the days where a witty (a witty one mind you, not even insulting yet) comment would be the biggest controversy around here. We would get mad at a member who THOUGHT ABOUT insulting someone. Now all of a sudden in basically every post I've been seeing people call each other stupid (without cutting corners, or implying it. Just directly insulting..), calling each other low-lives and this and that? Do we really need to go that low?
Honestly guys, Clipper*Joe is a nice man and deserves a lot of credit. Because face it- I'm a nice guy, but HONESTLY? I would have taken action about many of your posts a long time ago.. You're lucky we have a nice, patient moderator in Clipper*Joe who deals with you guys and not someone else (who would have half this board banned by now).
The question is why resort to personal attacks? Why has this board been so tense lately? Point your frustrations to other things, not opinions. If we all believed the same exact things, there would be no need to log on this forum and discuss our views. So lay off the comments about how someone is "stupid" or whatever other colorful words you want to use.
If anything? Press the PM button and do whatever you want. The private messages you send don't concern me, Clipper*Joe, or anybody else (except you and the person you send it to). That's why forums have a private message system- USE IT.
Anyways, when I signed up for this forum about a year ago, I signed up for discussion. I signed up to see what you guys are thinking, and compare your thoughts to mine. Not to read a bashfest. I don't mind you bashing Clipper players when you don't like them (completely your opinion, and again, that's why I go on these forums.. To see your opinions), I don't care if you bash the front office, but when you bash other fans it just makes you look bad. Other fans aren't making the Clippers lose, neither are their views. So stop taking out your frustrations on them.
Anyways, I know you guys don't read the rules when CJ gets angry to and tells you to (you know who you are). So here's some little points from the rules I would like you guys to see:
1) This is a discussion forum and not everyone is going to agree. But do not resort to insulting other fellow members or launch any sort of personal attack.
-Wow the FIRST rule, and lookie here- it's exactly what I was telling you guys to NOT do in this post! The things you've been doing as of late.. So read that bolded part and realize what you're doing wrong so you can fix it.
2) Use good grammar/spelling and don't use ALL-CAPS (it makes it "sound" like you're yelling).
-This rule has been violated lately too. It's not as big of a deal- just limit it as much as you can so that you won't annoy some of the members who don't like it. Also makes you look childish.. So just try not to do this please.
10) Most of all- have a good time! This is a Clippers Message Board where you can discuss the Clippers with hundreds of fellow fans. How great is that?!
-Haven't seen enough of this lately.. Come on guys let's make this forum what it used to be!!

W-o-W! Thanks, TCI. I appreciate the kind words but I have to admit, I do play a part in some of this so I can't let this go without acknowledging my part in it...in those cases.
Well, I guess it's a lesson learned...for me at least. That post of yours sure made me take a look at myself...hope it did with others too. Let's hope this post doesn't go in vain.

Thanks guys...
And no problem CJ. You're doing just fine- right now, aside from Golden State messaging boards and New Jersey Net messaging boards, we're probably as disgruntled and dysfunctional as it comes. I would even argue that Memphis has more satisfied fans than we do right now. It's hard being a moderator of such a crazy board especially with the Clippers performing like this (they're not helping make your job easier at all, LOL)
So again I thank you for all your contributions- I'm just trying to help, because I know it's hard trying to convey this message to everyone one by one yourself.
And thanks to all the members (mostly the ones that have been here for a while) that still keep the board classy and fun. You guys are awesome  |

CJ does a great job in this forum, he makes this forum better and his presence is totally necessary.
I think he has a lot of patience with some people who seem to come here just looking for problems. |

| Great thread!! I definitely want to express my thanks those who created the board and keep it running. Being a Clipper fan in a Laker town can feel kind of lonely, so a forum like this is really important. It definitely should be appreciated and treated with respect. |
