Yeah, I'm really pulling for that kid. For all the razzle dazzle and occasional lapses, he still my favorite player on the Clippers besides Brand. He's young so he has the body to recover through the injury; I just hope it teaches him a lesson in conditioning. If all goes well with the operation, how soon can Livingston play? They should at least give him a year. Given his past, I think it's best that the Clippers are conservative with him and make sure he's even stronger than before.

I've sent him one and have seen the multitude of messages which have been sent throughout the world on, Livingston sure does get a lot of encouragement and support out there not just from the Clipper fans but from NBA fans in general. Nobody wants the injury to be serious because they can see how much potential this kid has and it would hurt the league to lose a talent like him. I remember one time in the holidays in the 2005-06 season I was in LA and asked my Dad to come to a Clippers game with me. Livingston was just his usual self, his game is never really reflected in his stats, and my Dad was just blown away by the talent that he has because my Dad is also a basketball coach and he knows his stuff. The way he moves, paves his way through the lane, his dribbling, his speed, and ofcourse his passing. I know I'm rambling now but he is the real thing, trust me, so you better get well soon you hear me Livingston!

Well Shaun is having his surgery today- let's all hope for the best! It seems like he's in good hands. The Clippers sure miss him- the scoring average has plummeted since he got hurt.

Livingston has successful surgery

The LA Clippers today announced that guard Shaun Livingston underwent successful reconstructive surgery on his left knee this morning at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Livingston will start an intensive two week rehabilitation program in Birmingham before returning to Los Angeles to continue his rehabilitation.

The procedure took three hours to complete and was performed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews of the Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham.

Now come the hard part. The recovery & rehab. This is what sets one person apart from another. There is no telling how well the rehab will go and how much of his quickness he will regain. Now more than ever he needs to get his body stronger and learn a jump shot. Time to go to Reggie Miller's school of jump shooting.

If Grant Hill could return from major injuries at his age, Shaun should be able to as well. But it wont be easy. He'll have to want it. Maybe he could get some advice from Grant. And like you say smeylee: its not that he comes back and can play, its that he comes back better.
