DeAndre Jordan our Power Forward of the future?

I have been reading everything I can about DeAndre. Clippers management really feel he was one of the big surprises in summer league. We know he has to work on his offensive shooting game, sky hooks, something other than dunks. But he shot about 70% from the floor while rebounding and blocking shots with inpunity. The scary thing about DeAndre is his quickness, his speed, and his ability to run the floor and the fast break on the wing. I can't help but feel that in two years when Camby's contract expires, he could be signed again, but as a backup to Kaman at center and DeAndre at Power Forward. DeAndre's quickness will allow them to teach him the "James Worthy" drop step move that finishes going to the rim. Maybe, just maybe, if he wants to start a couple of years down the road, his future is better at PF. He isn't likely to replace Kaman at center, but he could be the heir apparent at the 4. What do you guys think? Does he have the makings of a great Power Forward, or am I just imagining this?

People are writing off Jordan for this upcoming season, but I think he can and will contribute. Sure, we could use another veteran big man (Elson/Powell), but Jordan with his athleticism and length will be a nice asset. And with Boom Dizzle running things, all Jordan has to do is catch the lobs and throw em down! Very Happy

I can see him as a PF/C in the future a la Tyson Chandler. If he could reach Chandler's level, I'd say that'd be a huge success.

I actually see them using him like Andrew Bynum. With the new outside shooting we have this season, the defense will be spread. DJ can set up low, catch the lob from Boom Dizzle, and the rest his history. He could end up with the skills of AB, but with the quickness be able to do it from the PF position. By the way, it took Tyson a couple of years to get his act together. DeAndre is young, but he can contribute those things he already does well, this season.
