The Clippers revoked their qualifying offer to Fazekas
That means they have 12 players and a total of just under $1.5 million to spend.
Since they are going to add player for camp, etc - the odds are they use their remaining cap on someone - though I don't have any hints yet who.
If this is the team so far
Baron/Hart/Taylor
Mobley/Gordon
Thornton/Ricky
Camby/Thomas
Kaman/Skinner/Jordan
Who and what should they be targeting?
You have to figure they consider Livingston - but shouldn't he be available for the minimum AFTER they've used up their cap space?
Both Baron and Ricky D will probably get minutes at 2 guard - and with the possiblity of Livingston - and the rare minutes to Taylor - I would think guard is out
Maybe a taller, defensive minded three?
Another 4?
Anyone? |

| Id like to see a veteran 3rd string PG that can play backup minutes if called upon. If Baron misses time, Hart starts, but who backs him up? Would M. Taylor be ready? |

| I hope we keep Livingston. We wouldn't even need him on offense, just turn him into a Tayshaun Prince defensive stopper |

I think livingston could be like a John Stockton only taller... and an even much better defender.
No short shorts though I would think |

if livingston is looking for more than the min - then perhaps that's what it is - if not and they believe they can get him for the min - then you have 4 point guards with Taylor.
As far as Q Ross - I mentioned him at the press conference that he was probably not coming back - asking if they intended to add a big man - which is when Olshey said yes and they were very active there (Brian Skinner) - but he didn't stop and correct me about Q Ross - which suggests he may be out. |

hahaha. I wanna keep him on the roster, but I also worry he might turn into the Grant Hill where he lets the Magic pay his checks while he's injured, then he jumps ship to the Suns the second he's healthy. |

| livingston needs to put on weight and he can play any three positions of pg, sg, or sf. he started to improve his jumper before the injury. sam cassell said it best "if you have a jumpshot, there is a place for you in this league" |

Yeah, I'm thinking a 3. I agree Emplay that Baron & Ricky will play some at the 2, so that's filled. Also, another big so that they can feel comfortable sending Jordan to the D-League. But not necessarily a big who see serious rotation minutes (that's covered).
Count me in the group that would really like to see Livingston signed! |

| If we could get Landry, every front court in the league would have nightmares about our defense. And it's not that unreasonable to think we could get him |

| If we sign Shaun (and I hope not) I'd like him as SF. I don't think he'll ever have the explosiveness to play in the backcourt and we also have a tremendous point forward IF he can shoot. Otherwise I think it's Ross hands down. Wasn't he looking for $1.8 mil? Has he had bites? Give him one year. I'd rather have Q, a known quantity than Shaun who is a huge gamble and Q will shoot better this year. Remember 19 against SAC? He may shoot better than Shaun |

| i agree. Shaun could play a good kind of a point forward. a cross between scottie pippen/tayshaun/lamar odom. sounds weird, but hes got the size and passing ability to be a good player at the sf or even sg. not that i dont think he cant play pg, but i think since we have davis, he wouldnt play pg as much and would play well next to davis at the sf/sg spot. |

i like him too but he turned down an offer, then we signed williams. he's probably played his last game in a clipper uniform, and it sucks that that last game was the game he got hurt. and the day after a career game too. |
