I've recently come back from my visit to the USA, in fact only to the East Coast. I've visited NY, Phila, Washington, Boston and Chicago. 18 days where I've spent many money, too much money Very Happy Very Happy . Most of you are from the West Coast (my next trip 8) ) so I don't know if the things I've seen really happen in your coast.

I really have enjoyed everything...everything except the food!! Very Happy . wow. too many bad sauces in my opinion. When I tried to eat something healthy like a salad there was always a strange sauce over that ruined the meal. You still haven't discovered the olive oil!!!!In fact, I've lost 3 kilos in USA!!!As a good USA citizen I visited the McDonalds a couple of times and I get impressed that I could fill my glass of coke for myself and then I could refill the glass for free (I don't know if it was legal but is what I did 8) ) . I discovered that Spain for you means "tapas". We are much more than tapas!! In fact we have the best cooker in the world: Ferran Adrià and I can tell you that he doesn't cook tapas. lol . But anyways the tapas imitations weren't so bad.

I probably only visited the touristic part of these cities but they give me a great impression. Clean, incredible buildings, outstanding gardens (with squirrols and rabbits!!!and some tiny rats in NY and big rats in Chicago!!!). NY was maybe too crowded but it's what you have to expect when you visit probably the most amazing city in the world.

In my second day I realized I wasn't wearing the American style so I visited the NBA store in NY. It was very nice but I got a little dissapointed because (as I expected) there wasn't many Clipper things. In fact I asked for the Baron Davis jersey and the shop assistant showed me the Warriors jersey!!WTF!!!You know who are you talking with, man!!!There was only the authentic Clipper jersey with the Davis name for $$$ so I didn't buy any jersey. Anyways I bought the Clippers coffee cup, some pencils and pens for this next university year, a flag for my car and the Clippers pants thatI wore proud in all the cities I was...specially in Phila lol .

I got surprised about how many people love the baseball in the USA. In Europe we don't know anything about baseball but most of the people in those cities wore something related to the baseball teams. In fact, it was difficult to find something related to basketball. I tried to see some shops near the basketball arenas and there was nothing. They told me the shop was only open the days when there are games. Confused Confused . I didn't understand nothing. There isn't any open shop to buy some gifts??wow. I went to the United Center (it isn't in the downtown I can assure you) and after walking for maybe 45 minutes-1 hour I expected to see some galleries or even a museum about Michael Jordan and there was only the statue!!!!WTF!!!No tours for tourists, no shop, no anything!!!Only the statue!!!You had the best sportman ever and you only have a statue!!Sad, so sad.

Well, I could explain my whole trip but it would take too many words and would be tough to read. As I said I expect to visit the West Coast when my economy could overcome this trip.

P.D: Congrats for the Olympic gold medal. I watched the game in Boston and I really enjoyed the game. I've looked for an open topic about the final in the forum but I haven't found anything. As I had posted for many times Rudy Fernandez didn't dissapoint anybody and played a great game showing he's a tremendous player.

Sounds like you had lots of fun Miquel- that's great that you visited all those places! I mean I haven't had a chance to visit any of those cities yet myself (except Chicago). Sounds like you visited too many fast food places though- there are lots of good restaurants in the US from all the different cultures.

But yeah Rudy Fernandez looked great. I wish we could've gotten him- I mean Portland bought the pick for $3 mil, and I guess we could have done the same. I bet Phoenix is kicking themselves right now!

You should make a movie about the US just like what Borat did!

Are you comparing me to Borat?? Wow...I don't know how to take it. For me it has been very special to visit the USA. I mean, I'm still studying in the university and as I supose you know the flight isn't cheap. I just wanted to share my experience with my Clippers family on clipperstopbuzz and try to have some feed back with the people of the forum. Nothing else

I hope that Jay.r didn't mean anything denigrating by that.
