I don't know why people are even doubting that we would make the playoffs. If healthy, we may go deep. We have the personal and the coach. It all comes down to injuries.
A+
We have a point guard which most teams can't legitamately say they have plus one of the best point guards in the NBA who makes the engine run meaning he makes everybody around him better. (Remember, Monti Ellis can score like Chris Paul, but he can't play the point like him but Baron can do both, so can Paul.) Plus, we have deep replacements for him with Hart and Williams.
B
Mobley is a good shooting guard, not great but adequated and a lot of teams don't even have an adequate shooting guard. Plus, B Davis and R Davis can back him up
B- Possible A
Thorton- Whether he becomes an All Star or a Super Star, we atleast know he is a starter in this league if he learns to play good D. Davis can back him up and so can Tim Thomas.
B+
Kaman- He is the only player that I have question marks about. I feel he is always injured somehow, and I have yet to see consitency. His back ups are okay; Skinner, Davis. I compare him to Vlade without the passing, but better in the post. If he was the only player here, I say C+to B-, but Camby can help play center too.
A
Camby is a perfect powerforward who can go to center. He may not score but who cares. Tim Thomas can back him up and that means we can run here too.
Upside- Future Eric Gordon, Thorton, Jordan Depending on how good they become, will determine where we go and how dominant we can be.
Overall, healthy, we have the personal to run with good D and good Bigs to intitiate the break and one guaranteed star player. Prediction, second round, maybe further. |

| im not sure. im a big clipper fan, but we have to be honest. there is no doubt the clips can make the playoffs, but im seeing them as more of a 6-8 seed. plus, it will be tough getting out of the first round with the lakers, hornets, rockets, and jazz leading the west. also, injuries are a big factor for the clippers. getting to the second round would be great, but i see them possibly getting eliminated in 6 games in the first round. however, its a start of getting the media to respect the clippers more. |

| Injuries and chemistry are the only downside I can see possibly preventing us a playoff spot. |

| Not to be redundant again but my benchmark has always been LAL. Camby and Baron were healthy all season. Chris got the crap kicked out of him by constant double and triples. This won't happen. As far as a fast game, Chris isn't a lumberer. He's pretty quick for a big and he's got good cardio. If Jordon shows up, we've got a quick team. KG and Camby are good defenders and Cat ain't bad. Corey's gone so we should have some D at SF. LAL was beaten by comitted D (and Paul Pierce). It all depends on who shows up (especially Chris' mid range jumper) |

These are the teams I feel realistically that we can beat in the first round:
1.Spurs: Camby will be our Tyson Chandler. But Camby has a vetran mind so he will be better at stopping Duncan. Plus the dreaded word in the post season up tempo offense. The half-court set might not be our best bet against the Spurs. I can see Thorton being a big factor if this series were to happen.
2.Hornets: I've always been shakey on the 2 and 3 spot of the Hornets team if we can expose Mo and Peja we can do wonders. Strong defense will win this series and execution against the pick and roll.
3.Lakers: We match up well against them. If Gasol plays soft or Odom gets that lost look at all we can surprise the world with a game 7 win. This one is more of a realistic long shot. 1 and 2 are more likely. |
