its looking bad! .... We hit a wall in our offense (Ivaronie predictable style), the uneducated are crying for C. LEE!! lol ...while not comprehending the TRUE outcome of not making the right deal....and the MUST of getting to the Western finale and do better than the lakers

its a fact! ...the way we are looking, its bad!! i mean the avg fan can pretty much tell you the play before it happens, ... but thats a whole different topic involving 1 of the dumbest coach to ever step on the hardwood floor.. M. ivaronie (big man coach too unfortunately)

but lets go on "the way its going"

we end up 6th- 7th seed...out 1st round, cp3 does not see the light at the end of the tunnel and does not sign that extension aaand then "WHO GETS CP3 NEXT YEAR" begins.......ALL THE DOMINOS FALL!

Blake in 2014 WILL SAY ADIOS TO US TOO

the window is small people!.....Fans need to start comprehending that

WE MUST MAKE THE WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL....NOTHING ELSE WOULD WORK TO KEEP THESE GUYS

I am not going to any more home games this season till we win 4 out of 5. I wanted to throw up. Some azzole was yelling "let's go Lakers" Fortunately he wasn't close because I probably would have clocked him. Popeye had a saying that expresses my feelings for LAL fans, "Well blow me down" He was referring to a strong wind that tipped boats, not a sexual act.

The loss to PHX was inexcusable. Since Chauncey went down we're one of the worst teams in the league. When Baron chose to play we were a lot better. This team couldn't beat its own carne. CP3 has done nothing. We lose because someome turns over the ball (read CP3) We fail to guard three point shooters Love and Farmar when a two would tie and the only way we lose is with a three. We lose to PHX without Nash and Hill.

Sorry guys this is not all VDN's fault. We got out coached? So what. That's no reason for THE TEAM (CP3?) to blow a lead like that. I had more fun watching Keith Kloss and Pike. At least you knew they were fu*kups. This team very well may not make the PO's. I don't care what's wrong. The LA Sparks could beat this team. CP is probably gone if we don't make the PO's and go to the second round. Why should he stay? Chauncey will retire or sign with Denver. KMart's gone.

What players should we go after?

Keep Gomes. Get Cookie back. He's a FA. Get him for gas money and Wetzel Dogs.

Although the numbers don't match. trade BG for Lamar and Mo' for Novak. Trade DJ for cheerleaders who will perform naked.

Bledsoe, Novak, Gomes, Lamar and Cookie. Yeah Novak ain't a SG but who cares, he plays like a ruptured duck anyway

We now have a team who can fu*k up in ways you've never imagined (like our present team) but at least you'll pop a chubby watching the naked girls.

I forgot. Trade Mike Smith for Stewed Lance and Ralph Lawler for Jerry "the King" Lawler so we keep the Law. -- Anybody who plays the Clippers wins.

I love you but adios CTB

This might be the only year in about a decade that I actually like other teams more than the clippers. Blake's demeanor is starting to irritate me very much. Hey Blake, instead of making dumb faces and acting like a girl, why not just suck it up and play hard! Chris Paul isn't the player I thought he'd be. He's no where to be found for 3/4ths of the game and tries to make up for it in the 4th quarter, which teams obviously have led on to. Deandre? Don't even get me started. He has 1 good game out of 5 and hasn't improved his game one bit. As for the coach, i've held my tongue for the whole season and kept giving him chances and chances but the loss yesterday drove me over the edge. A team like the Clippers needs structure and focus. We have too many good players that are being used inefficiently.

On the plus side, I really, really like Reggie Evans this year. You can tell he works hard every single game and his confidence is growing on the offensive end.

Also, Mo Williams is great coming off the bench. I feel like he should be our leader in terms of being vocal on the court.

I still can't get over the fact that we gave away a future all-star point guard in Irving. He is amazingly clutch and is a fantastic shooter. Olshey done an amazing job with these recent trades but trading Irving is always going to be a black mark on his record.

Now I know we have a championship roster and I know that we got CP3, but I worry we won't get a good coach. I still have nightmare of the day Larry Brown was release by Sterling even though he coach our team to a very good season. Those memories haunt me to this day and I don't know if Sterling really has change his way. He still CHEAP, should have gotten Casey over Negro, or we should have gotten a HOF coach the moment CP3 was on the team.

What do you guys think about this situation? Do you think Sterling has change his way? I am not sure, I would be more shock if we got a good coach than getting a superstar pg like CP3. All I know is no good coach, and CP3 walk.

Wish Cuban was the Clippers owner instead... roll

With the Irving trade it was a bad draft(aside for Irving) so Olshey figured trade that pick(which wasn't #1 yet but in the lottery)and get rid of Baron Davis and his bad contract and attitude. And Mo was needed at the time.New Orleans probably would've wanted him this summer anyways so dont worry about it but Irving can play.

As far as Donald who knows really

Hey, for once Donald is not at fault. He spending money he need used to. Right now, the timing is not right for coaching change. HOwever, win or lose tonight games, VDN must go. Its getting bad. On Irving, he was a luck of draw. Who knew with Baron Davis, I don't think we would get Kyle Irving. It was luck guys, deal with it about Irving.

Not sure where Sterling is at fault what so ever. We got CP3 he paid to bring in butler. The only real problem is VDN. It was a bad decision should have been casey like I wanted. VDN may end up being a good coach but he should have been a assistant for a some years before ever given the bulls job. When he was fired from the bulls it was because of his X's and O's. It showed last year he didnt know what he is doing and this year as well.

Once again not sterlings fault

Agreed. We should stop the whole we traded baron AND irving for mo thing. it wasnt like that. it never was. Had we kept the pick it was going to be the 8th pick. any gm would have done the same. that pick became the 1ST pick only to cover up what was THE MOST embarrassing moment of the history of the sport.."i take my talents to south yada yada yada".....

It was a LONG SHOT that the pick became a #1 pick. That's why people think the NBA is fixed. I just think Cleveland got lucky and good for them. If they didn't have Irving, they would be the Bobcats.

We traded Baron's CONTRACT away. That was most important and we got Mo.

I'm not going to waste a thread on this, because apparently if you get thumbs down votes on your threads you can't post for like a month...

But I was checking NFl mock drafts today and it got me thinking about the NBA draft in a few months. According to 1 site were slotted to take 6'7" 230lb LeBryan Nash from Oklahoma State with pick 54 in round 2. He's a projected top 10 pick in 2013, and was I believe the #1 or in the top 10 as far as college recruits go for the class of 2011. His talent is retarded and if we somehow landed this kid in round 2, it would easily fill the void that Butler would start to have as he aged more and potentially left in a couple years.

And as to why I brought this up, if we change coaches at the end of the year the Clippers need to get the F going BEFORE the draft happens and sign a coach. Waiting can really hurt even if were only picking in mid/late round 2.

the problem with this team is that they don't play team basketball they have super stars and they play like their the only player that can win the game last night they had a chance and paul felt only he could win it double teamed and triple teamed he wouldn't pass. there were others open kobe is learning sometimes you have to be a fascilitator

Kobe only learned that because he isn't as athletic as he used to be and doesn't have Shaq in his prime around to save his ass. Now he has to play team basketball, and all you ever see him do is cry and attempt to play it off like he's not crying about it...

Bullock looks like he's going to develop into a very nice player. Summers looked good. Samuels had his moments. Wayns did a decent job........but, damn. I was hoping Jajuan Johnson would get some PT. He barely played. I was excited when he finally got to play, but within seconds he turned the rock over. But then he looked good.......knocked a mid-range J down and took another one to the basket.......but there's no way he'll make the team with that little PT. I'm pissed...

I'm not complaining nor ranting but this is not worth a new thread...

Did you guys know we led the league in technicals, 101 in the regular season. 2nd place was OKC at 95. 3rd place was 77. Spur and Heat combined had less than 70. Very interesting. Probably another team record! I think a lot of it is the fact that our guys were mad half the time because the refs were allowing teams to try to end Blake's career on a nightly basis.

I remember one of the first really hard fouls on Griffin was Brendan Haywood clotheslining him. It was on Around the Horn and Bill Plaschke said something along the lines of Blake needing to "toughen up."

You can't just hack him like an animal and use the "Welcome to the NBA" rationale.

Blake Griffin plays a hell of a lot better when he's running up and down the court instead of hanging back complaint to refs and get T'd up. He's and animal when he puts his head down works to get buckets. There are times when a lake Griffin isn't soft and he will knock you off your stance and score. I want this see this Blake Girdfin every night, time to be a co captain of this team and play with authority

If this thread is to complain, my complaint are the pics on top of this page. There is Caron (not on team), EBled (not on team), Lamar (may not be on team), and Chauncy (not on team). Who is responsible for updating page? Let's get Reggie, JJ, Dudley, and Collison on top.

Dribble penetration is killing us. It's really hard to tell if Blake and DJ are doing bad or good, since everyone gets to penetrate the paint. I know they have to rotate and help the helper, but I think I only saw Collison fight through a few screens last night. It was a back to back, but this has been an issue all season. Our bigs show on picks but are they paying attention to what is going on, because sometimes it seems like they are just going through the motions.

When we are on offensively, we can beat anyone. With that said, the games I have been most impressed with are the few that our defense has been playing well. I think we have done well defensively against teams that play a lot of iso and don't generally have any type of system. We have also done great against teams that we are supposed to do great against other than charlotte, the game in Orlando, and I can't remember the other game off the top of my head.

We rank 24th in points in the paint allowed (http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/opponent-points-in-paint-per-gam e), but we rank second in opponent fast break points per game. I don't know what to think about DJ and Blake, because I feel they have to many responsibilities on our team defensively. We are giving our two youngest starters the most responsibility on defense. Which is fine but everyone has to do their part defensively. I've said it before we can't expect our bigs to watch their man, the man they have to rotate to, as well as the player dribbling into the paint on the majority of plays.

It's the wings that suck on defense and Blake is playing poor defense is well. Dj is having to cover for everyone.

DJ is not covering for everyone. he hedges on defense too much. That isn't a bad thing but when he's basically in no-man's land ( to far from his man and too far to make the dribbler take notice) he leaves the defense exposed. They go back door on him easily, or he puts himself in a position where he can't defend the penetrator. Or he just watches the man score. heck,. i am tired of him just watching players score on him where he has enough time to at least get his hands up but just watches as the man scores. BG is also playing horrible defense so all the DJ defenders can spare me the "what about the others". BG in my book, gets a pass for now. he's doing so much other things whereas DJ just has to worry about 2 things that we are comparing apples and oranges.

With that said, DJ is having his best season by far, but he is supposed to be the last line of defense and judging by how much scoring is done in the paint, it mainly falls on DJ.

Yep and I said in another thread, as good as DJ has improved this year on his rebounding, STL's, TO's and some parts of his defense, he needs to get better at protecting the rim. The good one's are under 45% (FGP). Hibbert is at 40%.

I do believe DJ will get better at protecting the rim, but maybe not until next year and beyond. Baby steps.

I'm not saying that he doesn't have room to grow, but you can't just put it on DJ. DJ has to worry about the penetrator, the roll man, anybody that wasn't boxed out (that's everybody last night), getting the rebound because nobody else is apparently going to do it, and not to mention anybody else that might be close to the paint. I agree that he gives on plays that a lot of times seem like he has a chance, but can you blame him. If he gets in foul trouble we have to go with Hollins, unless you want to have Blake handle offensive and defensive duties. My point with the amount of dribble penetration we give up as a team, I don't think there is a center in the league that can do much better.

Hibbert is the best defensive center in the league in my opinion, but look who he has defending the perimeter. George and Stephenson are great perimeter defenders. Duncan has Kawhi, Noah has Butler, Chandler at least has Shumpert, Gasol has Allen and Conley (even Prince has been a decent defender).

Who on our roster would you consider a good defender? CP3 when he is focused (which in my opinion is only when he wants to make a point, like when he plays Vasquez), maybe last years Matt Barnes.

In my opinion DJ is still lacking in one on one skills, and that is something that he should have on lock. David Lee should not be able to post up and get easy baskets against DJ. I would say that I've seen it with most decent big men too, not just Lee. He started off better in this area, but still feel we put too much defensive responsibility on one player.

@FightOnRon, my little bro is stationed in Louisiana so that is all he sees too. I tell him how good the Clippers are looking and how they should make a serious run this year. Then he sees that disaster from last night.

I hope KG retires next year and comes over as Doc's staff. We need a big man to mentor our bigs. I say even hire Camby this year, I think he has had some of the best influence on DJ in the past.

I agree. It is almost not fair to criticize Blake because he too has improved and is playing great on offense. But Both DJ and BG are out of position so much on d it isn't funny. Blake doesn't seem to care about rebounds. He is in "no-mans land" so much after a shot is in the air, ball watching. He doesn't box-out or attempt to rebound. It is frustrating.
